The world is dark.
Expansionism by overzealous kings has angered the gods of nature.
Unleashing a plague of monsters on the world, they easily destroyed human settlements that were not within the kings' original territory.
The gods soon lost control of their monsters, and they began to forget their mission.
The monsters began to encroach on human territory, taking thousands of lives.
That is....
Until the first hero showed up.
The heroes showed their might by defeating the dark beasts and fending off the encroaching dark times.
Heroes now require a license.
A license that can only be achieved by doing something great.
Such as defeating a great dragon.
Not always that extreme.
But usually physically exerting.
This is the story of the adventurers who attempt to get the license and those who have already obtained it.

RULES!
1. No godmodding.
2. No extreme powers, unless you have obtained a powerful relic.
3. Romance is allowed, but keep it pg-13.
4. Do not talk about License for a Hero. Keep any feuds within the pms.(Post Menstru- I mean, private messages.)
5. All characters must be human.
6. You may only play one character at a time.
7. Do not misbehave, I will not try and have Al Leun ban you, I will just talk to him about blacklisting you from the Roleplaying forum.
8. Follow the Guild rules.
9. Follow the Gaia ToS.
10. Have fun!

Victor, a grisly of man, had seen too many wars. Too many fights, too many friends lost. The thousands he may have saved helped him through the night but some nights old friends come to him. Ask him why, why couldn't he save them too? He hoped that the licensing of new heroes might bring more into the fold. More people to save the lives of those who are powerless to defend themselves.
'God I hope these kids don't get themselves hurt,' Victor though to himself as he walked up the steps to city hall where the lastest batch of new heroes waited in line to get their own personal badge. They all carried proof of their capabilities. Arms, heads, eyes, and what ever else it took to prove they have the talents needed to a shield for society.
He made it up the marble stairs leading to the entrance of the imposingly white and grand city hall. Its tall white pillars of marble proudly supported the overhanging roof that covered the revolving doors that were dwarfed by the rest of the wall. Just before he stepped into the swing doors that lead inside he turned back to the line of new heroes. He shook his head at the thought of how many more died just trying to get the proof they needed.
