If I could ever create my own gundam unit I would borrow most of my mechanics from Gundam00.
Name: NGF-XX1 Oblivion
Colour: Main: Scarlet Red, Secondary Gold.
Weapons:
x1 Haro unit. Red
x1 Sniper Rifle. Cherudim Gundam00
x1 Beam Saber. Red
x1 Hand Gun. Cherudim Gundam Gundam00
x6 Shield Bits Cherudim Gundam. Gundam00
x8 Fangs Arche Gundam. Gundam00.
For those who don't know much about Gundam00 the reason I chose to have a Haro with me is because i'm not good at multi tasking.....lol. A Haro would help with movement options of my mobile suit while I concentrate on sniping my enemies plus i get to talk to something while i'm out on my missions.
Well I hope that discribes my gundam go nuts tell me what you guys like you don't have to go into as much details as me this is just a way of knowing what you guys like in terms of gundam series in fact it dosen't have to be a gundam a mobile suit or perhaps a mobile armour.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask me I hope I get alot of replies to this thred.

I'd stick with the Ex-s Gundam, total ownage suit, comes with its own AI that achieves self awareness also and thats a plus.

I do not like AI assistance. Maybe for real life, but I think that it should be left to real piloting. However I'd argue that anything that isn't a gundam should be made harder to destroy or easier to escape. Because how is it that one gundam can destroy 30 Zaku/Leo's and not get a scratch?

thats the thing though, the AI assistance is made to correct pilot err, which in real life, occurs everyday.
I don't see how a grunt unit should be made harder to destroy. Its a grunt unit first of all. Mass production is gonna make it cheaper and simplier compared to an experimental unit, ala Zaku vs Gundam. If its in real life, probably both units would be made of the same materials yet the Gundam would probably use more sophisticated materials in its build such as better thrusters, weaponry, and denser armor.

AI sounds cool..especially for someone like me who'd have to label the buttons differet colors in the begining... xd I'd like to see that series. though. I like machines though it's probably not as Haro-cute as I picture it.
Ummmm hmm, things my gundam would have to have.....
Wings!! (though they'd need a purpose like solar panels or shielding or something..BOTh would be sweet ^.^..and if they sould make it move faster overall I could probably fly away happy...)
It'd be blue! Maybe several different types of blue ninja with black and a tuch or white or gray. Hmmmm Eyes would be I dunno! Not red or purple or black though..thats too dark.
Stealth stuff! Or whatever you call that ability to turn invisible/ stay off scanners ...^.^
Lol basically I wanna be reaaally fast and hard to see! I have no idea about weapons though. Far away stuff would be good..but I wouldn't wanna be screwed at close range either....if I could have escrima sticks for up close I sorta know how to use them..(sorta being the operative word! >.<) lol.

One of the few things i can't stand is the pilots with special powers one of the series that was bad for that was Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny Not only where they able to into Seed mode but there were also piolits who possesed new type abilities that series was over powered to say the least.

Yeah, but they had some cool designs out of it, and an interesting story. However I tend to like the masked figures of gundam. Except for Seed I didn't like Rau Le Creuset. But most of the time the Masked Figure wont have a gundam or too supped up but is able to fight on par with people that have gundams.
(Seed had a lot of annoying characters. Fey- psycho bioch, Rau Le Creuset -insane power monger, Meer -Krazy with a capitol K, numerous other people, plus some points where too sappy)
Although since I do not know UC Gundams I sadly do not know what all New Types can do. But they did make the Seed mode very powerful.

I agree with Dragon Buster, they totally ubered Seed and Seed Destiny with the Seed mode.
U.C. Timeline, the Newtypes had an ability to sense when they might be attacked, though both sides of the conflict had Newtypes so it wasn't so one-sided like Seed/Destiny. Plus, the pilots with the ability usually end up dying or being disable some way or another, the exception being Amuro Rey with him going from First Gundam to Char's Counterattack, excluding Zeta Gundam since he wasn't a protagonist but more of a side character.
All in all, IRL I would rather rely on either computer assistance or your gut instinct then some uber power, though I wouldn't mind having or being a newtype.

Well other than there was only a select few Coordinators that could go into seed mode (Kira and Athrun) there was only a few that could sense other people. And really I think it was really only Kira and Mu La Flaga that where only sensing when Rau Le Creuset was near, and the only reason why Mu could was bcs (Spoiler is color white) Rau Le Creset was a clone of Mu La Flaga

yeah same thing with the blonde dude in Destiny he also was.
The thing was though Kira was genetically made to have that seed mode in him. He was created to be the ultimate coordinator. In the U.C. timeline, anything close to that were the Newtype labs that wanted to create artifical or even genuine newtypes, sometimes with disasterous results.

I was shocked with Kira he had not just seed mode but the new type ability as demonstrated in seed destiny.

Plus he has Freedom which alowed him to use nuclear power and they had incredible power vs the Justice which has fewer blasters and more blades. But its cool that Kira limits himself to injuring and not killing, which I'd argue takes more skill

I though that was such a wimp move though. Don't kill your enemy but just immobilize him. In many ways its a good move but also a bad one.
Pro - you damage units enough to where repairing them cost the enemy alot of money and materials.
Con - You let the most valuable part of a machine live, the pilot. Lets the enemy continue the fight with no loss to life but only to machines, which can be replaced.

Yeah, although in the minds of the public showing restraint can be wither good or bad. Can make you look stronger or a wimp. Although I think its a good idea as Vash says from Trigun "No one has the right to take the life of another"
