Ofc arguing the elemental spec opposed to enhance, I've heard elemental at 60-80 but I heard enhance from 10-70, then ele 70-80.
I really don't mind either specs, but I prefer the ele spec, I just want to hear gaia's opinion. Both are very efficient but I'm leaning more towards elemental.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Blood+Furnace&n=Telus Here is my link, take a look at the spec if you wish, may not be the best, but it works for me.
Also give me time to work on my gear some of it may have things like hit rating instead of SP.

I don't think that's the point. Of course he can level whichever way he wants, but he wants to know which is most efficient.

Captain Muffdiver I don't think that's the point. Of course he can level whichever way he wants, but he wants to know which is most efficient. Shamans have no downtime no matter how you level. But anyways, you can make your spec better by maxing out Lava Floes and Elemental Precision.

ele and enhancement are equally efficient after 60.

Surely Enhancement would be better. My boyfriend just leveled his Shaman from 70-80 as enhance (or I did a lot of it for him) and it was quite easy. Ghost wolves and Sham rage give you an edge doing group quests solo as well.
Ive never played as elemental though, so its hard for me to really compare.

Ive never played as elemental though, so its hard for me to really compare. i've levelled two shaman, one enhance and the other switching between all three specs. Elemental is strong because with water shield and thunderstorm you never need to drink ever. Enhancement is better just for the fact that shamanistic rage and ghost wolves mean that you can solo pretty much any group quests and have multiple "ohshit" buttons.

My shammy is just about to hit 80 and I've been leveling in Enhance spec since the very beginning. I like it, personally, for the melee and wolves you get to use to help keep you alive - along with the Fire and Earth ele. I can handle a few mobs here and there no sweat.
I have yet to try an Elemental spec, but from what I hear it pwns. Saw a Draenai shammy the other day in elemental spec (i'm horde) and I was impressed that he could pretty much 2-3 shot a single target in no time.

Both are efficient, elementals get enough mana regen to support many minutes of LB spamming, especially since you stop and loot and such. They do hit hard, my BF's ele lava burst crits for 8-9K sometimes 15 >.>. What I'm saying is that they don't have a problem competing with mages in dps smile However I find enh also do high DPS, but since they're melee, they die more, is all. lol

um 10-70 doesn't really matter since it's fast (now) and dungeon loot is insignificant at that level however 70 to 80 I'd suggest you to building on your main spec you want for end game since leveling is fast (i got to 80 when wrath came out within 4 days so it's not that bad).
For you, the biggest concern will be having enough gold and such by then (unless this is an alt).

You won't have any downtime with enhancement if you are specced correctly.
