The guy that brought us Starship Troopers!
I just wanted to give some of his books a shout out! The ones I have read are fantastically written and the pages never stop turning.
Time Enough for Love - The story of Lazarus Long, the oldest living man. One of the best books I've ever read. Check it out if you like Sci-Fi.
For us, the Living - Currently reading. It's his first novel, so I have high hopes.
Friday - Haven't read it yet, but give me a week or two and I'll have a brief summary.
Starship Troopers - The Source of the classic movie. I haven't read it yet, but it's on my list.
If you've read anything by him that I haven't listed, please tell me about it. I love his work and would be willing to discuss it with anyone! heart

Mmm...I love me some Robert Heinlein.
I've read many of his works, and I remember them fondly.
1) STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND - Essential Heinlein. It's about this human raised by martians on Mars that comes back to Earth and teaches humans a lot about human sexuality/emotion.
2) To Sail Beyond The Sunset - Epic. Also, its the "end" of the Lazarus Long cycle, so if you liked Time Enough For Love, I think you would quite enjoy this one.
3) Podkayne of Mars - Not the best, but a good story. It revolves around a teenage girl from Mars visiting Earth.
Some others I've enjoyed: The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, The Cat Who Walks Through Walls, Glory Road, and I Will Fear No Evil (said to be his worst work ever, but worth the read, lol).

I forgot all about "Stranger," I read it about a month ago and absolutely LOVED it! I loved everything about it and just couldn't put it down.

Edit - I've heard about some of the others, I'll do my best to track them down.

For us, the Living - Currently reading (DONE!). Very entertaining, if somewhat shallow and lacking in realism. Over all, a good read though, he doesn't disappoint.
Friday - Interesting, but not really great. Worth a read if you like spy novels. I use the term "spy" loosely, she doesn't really spy on anyone, it just seemed appropriate.
Starship Troopers - The Source of the classic movie. Much better, imo, than the movie. A short, but very worthwhile read. Gives a lot of insight into the military mind.

PS - Haven't had a chance to look up the others, hoping to hit Ed Mckay's sometime this month.
