It was early in the evening and Strongear was just leaving his den, his mother had already left to speak to a few other adults before heading out to hunt for the pack, some of his siblings stayed behind to sleep and others were out playing with each other and various other young dogs around the pack. It felt like any other ordinary night and Strongear wondered what he would do to occupy his time, it could be hard being a pup in pride sometimes, there wasn't always much to do, but Strongear was sure he could find something, and if he couldn't he would always head out and find something outside of the pack lands.
Strongear began to saunter about amongst other members of the pack no one was paying particular attention to him, nor was he paying that much to them. In fact his mind was wondering quite a bit. It had been a few days since he had got away to see his Twana, he didn't like leaving her out there not knowing if he was coming or not, but he hadn't been able to get away from the pack, there was too much going on. As a result his dreams had been full of her, and he longed to go out and see her.
It was because of this longing that when he first saw the dog, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, it couldn't possibly be her, he was in the pack lands still.... and she wasn't in the pack, he was so confused. He closed his eyes and shook his head, his imagination was running away with him again. He opened his eyes and sure enough she still stood there, could it really be her?
Taking a few slow steps in the direction of this mystery female, Strongear didn't take his eyes off her, he was sure if he looked away she would just disappear and he really didn't want that to happen. After cutting the distance between them in about a half, he couldn't wait any longer, he had to get to her now.... he began to run full speed towards her, not blinking or closing his eyes, the wind made them sting. It wasn't far now soon he would be at her side, his Twana... could it be true she was here!

Twana was speaking with a few of the scouts bordering the Peke Na. It was her first ever time confronting the pack and she was nervous as all heck although it didn't seem to show to brightly. Zuberi, being him knowing her a bit better, might take notice to the very slight twitch of her ear and small things like that. She lowers her head as she stands. His scent was around but, he, he was not. Her tail ran low to the ground out of nerves, respect and sadness. She wondered quietly to herself where he might be.
Turning her head away from where Zuberi was coming from she begins speaking around. Not talking to anyone in particular, just sort of gathering scents, looking around but, keeping wary of how deep she gets into the packs territory if she was found and uninvited, boy that just wouldn't end well. Her need for teh male though drove her deeper then she would've pleased though and still, no sign of him.
It was on her way back that she found him. She had turned just slightly and the wind blew just right. Her nose twitches and ears perk up full and broad and her tail raises from the ground. Had she found him? Would they be reunited. Would she see him after having to for almost a week and a half. Her heart beat was strong and energy blooming. "Zuberi?" She asks out loud. The male, bearing a luscious brown coat and dashing eyes. It had to be him, his markings matched just the same. No illusion. Confrontation was in order and she did just taht but, without words.
With a quick lick, and a nuzzle she buries her head into his shoulder fur and sits in silence for a brief moment.

Strongear was over joyed that she was here, was she coming to live her now? As sad as he would be to leave his mom, he hoped that she had left her family to be with him. He was a romantic apparently, though he would never admit it. He took a deep breath in letting her sent fill his nose.
He nuzzled her slightly, she seemed to be some what nervous, which he guessed made sense, she was in a new place with new people. He backed up slightly so he could get a better look at her. He smiled when her green/pink eyes looked up at him, it was his Twana, he moved back closer to her feeling a need to have her there with him, the physical contact just made the feeling more real.
"You are here!" he exclaimed, he was overjoyed, and realized he hadn't greeted her at all. "Did you come her all by yourself?" he looked around them as much as he could with out knocking her from his shoulder. He couldn't see anyone that wasn't a member of the pack she must have come alone. The thought that she had traveled all by herself made him worry slightly, he had never had a problem on his travels, but it was different, she had to be safe. He nuzzled her head an gave her a quick lick.

In all the excitement she forgot she was rather alone. She was new here. She wasn't a member and she was deep in their territory. Deep being a few feet or more to her. "Maybe I should.. get to the outskirts a little?" She offers. Nerves getting the best of her. Although the nuzzles and his constant breathing, heartbeat and mutterings helped. His presence there made her feel welcomed and cared for. She felt a craving to be with him.
"Yeah.. I came alone. I made the decision all by myself!" Pride strung high in her voice. She loved making her own decisions and acting much older than she was. She was of course only a few weeks or so old. Her tail was wagging and body close to Zuberi's, she worked at absorbing his much loved scent and began licking his neck affectionately.

Strongear noticed how proud of she was herself so he decided not to scold her for being careless about her safety, he wished she had waited for him to come to her he would have brought he back safely. He wished he had known she was here, he would have been by her side the whole time. Realizing that she was talking about leaving the pack borders Strongear jumped back slightly, "No don't go anywhere! Everyone here is really nice no one will hurt you here. You are safe here."
He nuzzled back up to her he was happiest when she was there. "So what made you make your decision to come?" he asked hoping that if she remembered why she came in the first place she would be more willing to stay. He couldn't bare it if she left now, he was just getting use to her being there at his side. He took a deep breath in, her sent was sweet to him.

Her large proud smile did not leave her maw. Her tail was wagging happily and her body shivered with all the excitement of the new. The new area, the new scents, the feeling of being accepted here by Zuberi. It felt so amazing here. "I chose to come here for you." She said bluntly. She wasn't good at being subtle. With her need to know basis she figured that everyone else needed to know. It was a minor flaw some might say. "For you and to learn." If it were anyone else that might not have meant much. But, comparing something to her want of learning was big. She steps back and takes seat. "It's beautiful here and everyone does appear so friendly. No wonder you spoke so highly of it." She says happily. Her duo-colored eye's glittering with joy.

Strongear looked into her eyes, he was overwhelmed with joy, not only was she here, but she was here (at least in part) for him. He started at her just trying to take it alll in. He quite liked her eyes, they were so different than anything he had ever seen. He smiled to her, he hoped she would feel at home in the pack, he would do everything he could to make sure that she did.
"You know I will take care of you here right?" Strongear asked her. He would make sure she was taken care of, she may have left her parents behind, but he would be her family now, he didn't want her to worry about anything.
Deciding it was time to make the conversation a little lighter, but keeping it on the pack Strongear looked at her and asked, "Have you thought about a pack name yet?" Within the pack every dog had a given name, his was Zuberi-Sikio, and a wolf/ pack name, his being Strongear. In the pack everyone went by their wolf name, it was less formal, and some how he felt that it made everyone seem more connected. "I guess now that you are here you will call me Strongear instead of Zuberi." It was weird to think of here calling him that, if Strongear met someone outside of the pack he always gave them his given name, but within the pack few new his given name... it would be an adjustment for him to hear her calling him Strongear.

She smiled to him, Strongear. The sound in her head was weird, different. A twang of sadness hit her heart a she began thinking of all the changes but, her heart fought strong against that. Her eyes were still on him. She thought about his question. Her name, would no longer be Twana? She wasn't devastated but, it would take time for her to get used to the change. "Earthchild?" She asks. The meaning stuck in her brain. It was her name but, different. This thought made her feel better. She was slightly afraid of not being 'her'.
"Strongear.." She says, starting a sentence but, unable to continue. The name sounded so wrong on her tongue. he was Zuberi. He would be no one else to her. She sighs softly and tries again. "Strongear, I know you'll protect me. I know this because every time I see you.. I get this warm fuzzy, right feeling." She smiles. The power of love for him making her able to go on using his 'fake name' as she now thought of it. "I'll miss my momma and my Father but, I'll still have you.." She says softly and leans into, hiding her muzzle.
Tears were almost expectant. She'd be leaving her family to gain so much. Knowledge, a love, a new family. New friends and so much more. She was just over-whelmed. She was only so old. her body tenses lightly against his as she works to control herself. It wouldn't be to much. Twan--Earthchild. I am strong. Her thoughts raged on, bringing her to accept it. "I am strong." She whispers to herself, she hadn't realized it was out loud though.

Strongear smiled softly when he heard her stumble over his name, it was weird to hear her call him Strongear, he had only heard her call him Zuberi before. He looked at her his mind racing, "I think we should make a compromise, when it is just me and you and no one else is around you should call me Zuberi, but when others are around or you are talking to someone else in the pack then I should be Strongear. OK?" He smiled he thought that this could be a good way to go, as he thought it would be weird to call her anything but his Twana, Earthchild just didn't roll of the tongue as well.
He looked around them, the pack was busy tonight no one had seemed to pay any attention to the two of them having a rather intimate conversation on the sidelines. He smiled at her again, "I am really glad you are here." he couldn't hide his feelings, not from her anyways. Her arrival to the pack had made a huge difference to Strongear, he had her with him, and he was going to be able to care for her now.

Twan-Er Earthchild smiled softly. The compromise was beautiful to her, she'd still have her Zuberi. "Alright, Zuberi." She whispers this softly for only his ears. Her eyes glance around. "It's a big place here." She says out loud. Her voice and stance showing her feeling of small. She wasn't used to such large crowds. "How'd there get to be so many in one area?" She asks him and begins wandering deeper into the territory feeling quite a bit safer after having him with her for a little. The questions once again were back at eth tip of her tongue.

Strongear smiled, he could see the twinkle of curiosity come back to her eyes. He would enjoy giving her answers to all her questions as best he could, he knew he wouldn't know all the answers but he would try anyways.
He glanced around the pack, it was a busy place he guessed, he had never spent much time thinking about the number of dogs that lived in the same area as him, he just saw them as a kind of extended family, even though he didn't know nearly all their names. "Well some members were existing members, something happened that caused the pack to split up I think. And now they are just starting to come back together again. A lot of dogs have joined up, they use to live out on their own, like my mom. And there is quite a number of pups, some were born here like me, and others came with their parents."
Each dog seemed to have their own story of why they ended up in the Peke Na, and of course Strongear only knew vary few, one of which was his mom's. She had come after she was pregnant with him and his sisters, she had belonged to another pack at one time but they had disbanned and gone their separate ways. Shortly before she was to give birth his mom joined the Peke Na and made it her new home. Strongear smiled as he thought of his mom.

Twana gazed around with him, the tones in his voice changed as he spoke about each group and she adored it. It excited her to hear about all the different dogs around. With all their differences there'd be much to learn! Excitement ruffled her fur making it stand slightly and bringing her tail to wag joyously. "How did your Mom get here?" She asks, hiding several other questions she had.

Strongear watched as Twana's eyes wondered the pack lands, he loved seeing her enjoying something. He smiled at the mention of his mom again, "My mom I am not a hundred percent sure about all the events that ended her up here but I do know that she belonged to another pack when she was younger but it got disbanded and she wondered rouge lands for awhile on her own. After she got pregnant with me and my siblings she found this home. They accepted her with open arms, and didn't mind that she was caring pups. She has since made it her home."
Strongear smiled at Twana he really enjoyed this being his home. It was still fairly early in the night, he knew that he had lots of time with Twana, but then he began to wonder if she was going to start getting tired, would she be able to adjust to the time switch. He nuzzled her lightly, "How are you doing my young one, you aren't getting tired are you?" Strongear wanted her to enjoy her first days or should he say nights at the pack, and not have it tainted by lack of sleep making her groggy.

Twana supported the accepting group 100%. She loved this and the thought flew through her head about her closest family member. Little Damu. She adored her younger brother and hoped he'd join her here. Not that Mother and Father were bad but, this place offered a chance to learn so much and she knew he'd be well liked here. She placed that thought securely in her brain and decided to bring that up to Risktaker. She for now shook it from her priority thoughts. "It must have been hard being new and carrying pups." She said, the weird sound of maturity settling into her voice.
She glanced around, dogs were everywhere. they were playing, teaching, eating. So much activity in one area! It astonished her beyond speech. She just smiled and wagged her tail until Strongear's voice crashed into her quiet thoughts and questioned her being. "No, I'm fine." She says, stifling a yawn brought on by the thoughts provoked by that question. "I just want to explore!" She says excitably and jumps into a quick trot, expecting him to follow. She wanted to explore a little faster and gather up as much of the area in her mind as she could.

Strongear smiled at Twana who was trotting away from him, he didn't want her to get far from him, so he began to run along behind her. It was fun having her here with him he was glad that she wouldn't be leaving him. He knew when he went asleep he would wake up and go to find her first thing. Just catching up with Twana Strongear nudged her slightly, "Hey do you want to go see where my den is?" he liked the idea of her knowing exactly where he lived.
He knew that chances are some of his sibling would be home but he didn't care, he would love for some of them to meet her, maybe eventually, for now he kinda wanted her to himself, so he would just show her where it was just in case she needed him. After that he would have to find other things to show her around the pack.
