- I've noticed a growing trend of users' ideas being implemented into the cash shop/feature of late. Panda Slippers, Aquariums, and many more item ideas have all been taken. If you're going to be unoriginal enough to take our ideas and use them for profit, then please, at the very least, give the us credit and/or reimbursement in the form of a free copy of the item. You don't have to make a big deal about it, just give it to them and tell them that it's because you liked their idea enough to want to sell it. If it becomes a gold item, you don't have to give credit. And if distributing credit is that hard, then just, you know, don't take our ideas anymore.

- You said you would never interfere with the economy when we asked you to help lower MC prices, but you always mess with the economy. You added a tax; that's messing with the economy. You manipulate the Daily Chance in way that manipulates the Marketplace prices. I'm not saying it's a horrible thing, but it's going against your word with no notification to the users as to why.

- You keep promising updates, glitch fixes, new features, new items, etc., but they've yet to come out. What about the contact shop, or the contacts in general (the monthly collectibles don't count, IMO)? We never got them (except the one pair from the Olympics)...but you managed to release some as monthly collectibles and even in some evolving items. What about the music shop? What about the game from Prom? What about the weapon shop?

- The entire Gaia team is not at all in sync. One dev says one thing, and then another dev gives a completely contradictory answer. Either no one knows what's going on outside of their department, or you're so deep in lies that you can't keep them straight. Some of you say you're desperately in need of money - others say that no one ever said that. Communication is essential in any business; if it's not all lies, you need to talk to each other more so that everyone is on the same wavelength.

- Awhile back, we nearly lost our casino because of some kind of issue with it being related to gambling. But isn't that essentially what we're doing when we buy OMGiftboxes, Nitemare Boxes, etc.? We're taking a gamble. Half the time when my fiance buys them for me, I get crappy store items. Why is it that that's okay? And why are you promoting gambling to tweens, anyways? Technically, that's illegal.

- We were promised that Gaia Cash items would generally be cheap and affordable:

Quote:

• Release special items that cost way less than Collectibles (many Cash Shop items are 25 to 50 cents). One Gaia Cash card could last you a long time!

• Release special items that are even more crazy and complex than Collectibles (some Cash Shop items might cost more than $2.50).

Obviously wrong. Cash intrudes far more than it was originally intended to. Things are much more expensive than we were told they would be. And one cash card does not last you a long time.

- Gaia will not become a paysite. I understand that this hasn't happened, but I just want to point something out. When cash originally came out, apparently a lot of users expressed their concern over cash turning Gaia into a pay to play site. So much so, that it was stressed that it will not turn Gaia into a paysite in the original announcement.
Quote:

Is this some sneaky way to turn Gaia into a pay site?
Absolutely not. Gaia will remain just as free as ever. We just wanted to make sure that the people who do choose to spend money on Gaia will just get a fair bargain for their money. Upcoming (optional!) items or features might use Gaia Cash, but they'll be worth it!

I think the least you guys could have done to alleviate such fears is to have kept prices minimal and fair and keep the cash shop less intrusive. Since it came out on July 23, 2007, there have been well over 38 cash shop updates.

I am afraid I disagree on the first point, NK...

Think about it, person A says "We should make a Skateboard Item!!"
A few people look, person B thinks this is a good idea.

Person A's thread dies, and person B remakes te thread as if it was his own idea.

And then person c sees person b's thread, and does the same. Person A just gets forgotten, and people would baww tat gaia isn't putting enough time into looking at who ORIGINALLY made the idea, and Gaia just does not have that time, you know the issue with the moderators. Peope would complain that THEY made te idea first, kind of thing~

We already have that design item contest thing form time to time though, and that's fun..

As for the third point, I completey agree with you. want to make my house already. I know you would have to remake it from the bottom up, but hey, look how fast you can pixellate for cash shop items and rigs, Can't be THAT difficult, and peple would be pretty happy, right?
Yeah~

Just my two cents.

The memory of when DIs were changed into MCs popped into my mind today, so I decided to find the announcement and re-read it again because I couldn't remember the reason behind the change. I found the announcement, and if you compare it to Gaia now, that announcement is packed full of lies.

The only time I've seen original (not regurgitated) ideas get any credit is when it's in an actual contest. But other than that,...

The last time they had a item contest, besides the whole stockings thing, they butchered the item idea!! I really WANTED those umbrellas when I heard about them. But they turned out to be a LOWER quality than some of the regular updates to the gold shop! WTF....I was really sad about that. The Gwee umbrella is...okay... but the Coco umbrella isn't the right shade of black (it's more of a dark grey)

And BTW...

That announcement? it won't be going to some cooperate fat-cat thing? Ummmm, can you say Sherman...? At least, I hope most of that money isn't going to his pocket...

Actually that one wasn't packed with any lies. Because the base is in america. Meaning donations mean that the person is doing it that they want to and not paying for anything. Due to the name of the items they had to change them due to the fact the American government would shut gaia down.

Another batch of lies would have to be the Decided Issues. Dicks made a thread about this in the SF allready, but there's been a lot of "going back on" the Decided Issues. I dunno why, but they can't seem to honor their own s**t.

So now they decided "We don't go by the DI anymore. Ha-Ha." At least that's what a dev replied in the thread. Minus the Ha-Ha. I think.

We should totally spam SF with topics covered in the Decided Issues since that thread might as well be a spam topic in the chatterbox now.

*points to Yamato1's post* If that doesn't let you call out Gaia staff as liars I don't know what will. The person who posted made it all the worse too, "Gaia's gone back on it's word many times already. It's also highly likely that we will go back on our word many times in the future too." Like, can I go around calling Gaia Staff liars and say it's a part of my review of the site 'cause they admitted it so blatantly nao?
