"Just stay out of trouble, ok?" Santana said to Litural as the three entered the SoS building, Auryn holding tightly to the albino's hand.
Lit was already on edge...he really hated this place, He'd never been given a good reason to come here, even for all this classes and parent meetings. And right now all he wanted to do was get the damn writer...thing...and go home. "I don't see why we had to come along...I can watch her by myself. Did you really need us here?"
Santana sighed some, "Yes, because they may ask to teach you how to use it too. I don't like this place either, you *know* that...but she needs this."
He knelt down in front of Auryn then, both hands on her shoulders though they didn't really need to be. When he moved, she automatically turned towards him, a smile that reached all the way into her pale eyes.
"Stay by Lit, ok Songbird? Ana's gotta go get you your special books."
Auryn nodded, instictively reaching up for Lit's finger...holding fast despite the protesting flinch from the older spawn. "Okay Ana. 'Ryn stay with Lit'ral."
There was a bit of commotion at the facility today and once they were inside it would seem as if something had gotten loose by the way all teh technicians were talking and acting. "Do you know where he went?" One technician demanded and he actually had a large net with him. The other technician shook their head, "No but by the shrieks down the way I'd say he is over in that direction. Its strange that he never ventures near the celestials living quarters though." Another commented though she quickly quieted when she saw the trio enter. "Ohh...Hello." She put false enthusiasm into her voice as she pried herself from the gathering of technicains who were now trying to act as if nothing was out of the ordinary...even the one with the gaint net. "How can I assist you today?" She chirped trying to dierct the newcomers attention away from the gathering. Another technician though looked at Lit his eyes widening. "hmmm maybe he could do it...that brat seems to like the red skinned ones." One harshly whispered though he was quickly elbowed int he ribs to quiet down.
The three had stopped dead, and the growling snarl was already curling Lit's lip when he saw the techs...and the net. Auryn looked around cluelessly, feeling the anger from her "brother" but not really understanding it. She could feel the panic that lingered in the air as well, and it made her step closer to the older spawn, squeezing his finger tightly. Santana could only stare, jaw slack in disbelief...before snapping to look at Lit. "Easy, Litural...just count. Just count. I'm here, they're not going to do anything to you or to Auryn. Right?" he said, pointedly, towards the techs. It was a big cue to get out of here with the damn net...what the hell were they thinking, walking around with the thing like that? Made absolutely no sense to Santana at all. "Lit okay?" Auryn asked, her voice quiet as she looked upwards at the red skinned spawn. Lit was well into the 50's in his counting, the hand that wasn't held by 'Ryn curled into a white knuckled fist and wings puffed with agitation, "Lit...*I'm*...fine...'Ryn....52...51...50...49..."
Spotting the discomfort suddenly spring up un the trio she tried to think of something quick to explain why they were all gathered there. "Ah...we are playing a game." She quickly stated, dimly growling at the others for lingering around in the main hall. A shriek sounded from the left and a woman was running for her dear life her sleeve torn almost up to her shoulder as she fled past. "Er..." The other woman stated but even as she turned the group had already dispersed and heading in the direction the other tech had just fled from. THe tromp of their shoes echoed strangely in the hall. "uh..." She continued after a moment as they were now...totally alone. "SO...how..could I be of assistance?" She prompted again quickly. If she could help them and get them out of there before that group most definately retreated that would be a blessing.
"That may work on Auryn, but I'm not stupid," Santana said darkly. "Which one got out and are the kids in any danger?" Litural became noticably relaxed, breathing ragged breaths from his nose after the group had gone. Hell, he even looked rather pleased when the female tech had gone running past. His third eye, moments ago being the center of all his anger, now seemed excited and almost smiled at the thought of someone causing havoc in this hell hole. "Wha happen?" Auryn said, still a little nervous. "Game over?" Litural looked down at her then, knowing how senstive she was to feeling things from people around her...Lit, it seemed, especially. "Yeah....yeah, game over, Auryn. It's ok, though...everything's ok now." "It's ok, Santana," Lit said after responding to Auryn, walking forward towards the desk, the little girl toddling after him. "Let's just get it and go. We're here for some...typewriter, thing? Auryn's blind, we need to be able to teach her to read." "A braillewriter," Santana supplied, glancing at Lit with concern before out to the hall. "And books on reading braille for the sighted."
The woman who was basically being ignored twitched a bit as they discussed the point of their visit as if she wasn't there. She was about to open her mouth to indicate to the trio she could help them with the matter when suddenly as predicted the group that had run off were now running back. Quickly mind you and only a few seemed to be straggling behind. "Ah...got out? N..no one. We are trying to catch this one." She said after several of her comrades hurried past her opened a door and then entered the room and there was a click as that door was now locked. "Uh..." Some of the other stragglers one carrying the net was actually still battling it out with whatever it was they were trying to catch. THe form was small, red skinned, wearing only shorts and in his teeth was the netting. After a breif power struggle the techinician dropped the net and fled. The woman...who paled noticed that the one they were trying to catch had now latched his sights on her. "meep.." was the only sound she made as she abruptly turned and fled down the hall. Leaving the trio alone with 'the one' they were all fleeing from. Golden pair of eyes fixated on where the woman went, there was a scrable of claws and then another scrable as he had been so focused on the white lab coats he hadn't seen Litural until it was too late. He basically headbutted the youths leg and then fell on his back with a loud crack. THe bones that protected his shoulders hit the tile hard and were the ones who produced the sound. Slightly dazed the smaller one quickly righted himself and shook his head. Black with blond highlights chunked through his hair it seemed a bizarre combination even for the facility. This kid...had the strangest of blue rock like scales all over his body, he wore only shorts....and was actually running on all fours like a cat may.

Lit hardly had time to think before there was a body, only slightly larger than Auryn, barreling towards him and ramming full speed into his legs. He stumbled back a bit, dragging the little girl still so carefully clutching his hand with him the step or two, before recovering and staring down in utter disbelief at the red skinned...child. A little boy...that was entirely too much like himself. "Hey!" Auryn shouted as she was pulled back, having felt the hit into Litural and the body wooshing past, but being unable to see what was going on, hadn't had the chance to brace herself for it. Her brows narrowed over her eyes as she looked up at Lit, then towards where the thudding of a body had come from. "Don't push!" she instructed seriously. Had she been sighted, she probably would have stuck her free hand on her hip...but having never seen someone do it, she wasn't award that now was the appropiate time to do such an action.
Santana...was frozen. Random Spawn A had gotten loose and run head first into his very sensitve charge, and now the world seemed like a snapshot. The man held his breath, waiting for Lit's move...he expected him to pounce upon the young boy, snapping and snarling and just generally trying to maul him to death. He did not get that reaction. Not that Lit hadn't wanted to do it. There was a definite spark in that third eye that glared down death on the kid. Had this been Lit several months back, that undoubtedly would have been the answer. And Litural...did growl. His wings bristled and he took the step back into his spot by Auryn's side, looking down at the boy with a very commanding air about him. "Watch it," he said, not snapping or snarling. "You're gonna hurt someone rushing like that."
Pepper shook his head as if he was still trying to clear the stars from his vision. He was hunched over, the long claws on his hands and feet clicked as he backed up a couple of steps, his golden eyes looked up at Litrual in hostility before it became awe. In his mouth was actually a white peice of cloth, apparantly he had been the one to rip that one technicians sleeve off. He spat it to the ground beside him, the nails clicked again as he seemed undicided if he wanted to get closer to Lit or not. His gaze flicked to Auryn and then to the adult. He hissed at Santana and backed away from him though it was bringing him closer to Lit and the girl. The girl..was pretty small..the boy...the boy reminded him of Duncan...and Mareike...all red skinned...all had three eyes. He then reached out and grabbed Litural's pant leg with his claw like fingers. "Brother?" He asked with a tilt of his head, though he cast a hostile glare in Santana's way to make sure he wasn't giong to do anything stupid.
Auryn was thoroughly confused. There were a lot of different sounds and feelings going on, and she wasn't entirely sure if she liked this new person who was growling and hissing and making Litural and Santana very uncomfortable. Especially when he grabbed Lit's pant leg...that sent all sorts of nasty emotions through the older spawn, to *her*. "Lettgo Lit'ral!" she demanded, and started swatting in the general direction that the nasty feelings where coming from. "Lettgolettgo!" "Auryn, Auryn!" Santana yelped, ignoring the glaring child who wasn't his primary concern to instead focus on his littlest spawn getting hurt. Litural could handle himself, he always could; Auryn was another story entirely. "Lit, stop her before she gets hurt!" In the process he had moved closer, making a sweep with his hands for the girl. Lit met him halfway, nudging 'Ryn away from both himself and the smaller spawn with his long leg before either of them could do damage to each other. She screamed, of course, being yanked away from him like that...and started to fight against Santana's strong hold before he cupped her close to him and hushed her quietly. "It's ok, 'Ryn...it's ok. It's me, it's Santana. It's Ana...shhh." Lit let his guardian take care of the girl while he turned his attention back to...well, whatever his name was. And at the posed question, he had to stop and think. Brother? No. Santana had said long ago that, as far as he knew, LLit had no 'true' brothers or sisters...just half-siblings. "Litural," he corrected the boy, taking a step away in hopes of his pant leg being released.--
Pepper came with the tugged pant leg, the click click of his long claws seemed loud. But he pressed a free hand to his ear wincing at the little one shrieking. "Loud." he complained finally letting go of Litural so he could cover his other ear. He looked up to the tall boy his gold eyes studied him he seemed...dissapointed that this one wasn't his brother either. "....Pepper...still .alone then." he sighed after a moment before tossing a glare at Auryn wishing she would quiet down though he didn't voice his opinion. Seeing the adult again he growled and went to slightly hide behind Lit's leg. Adults..he didn't trust any of them. The only one he vaugely trusted was Almas..and thatwas only because he wasLuthor's father.
Santana sat in one of the waiting chairs with Auryn, who had quieted down once realizing that it was Santana who had her and that he wasn't feeling nearly so upset anymore. She sniffled through the frustrated, somewhat overdramatic tears that smudged her face, nuzzling into her guardian's shoulder. "Where Lit? Lit okay?" she whimpered, tilting her head to try and listen for her 'brother'. "Lit's fine," Santana said, sounding rather amazed. More amazed than he'd been in a long time since accquiring Lit...because the boy was not only behaving himself, but doing it with a rather clingy child. Lit was watching the boy with narrowed eyes, obviously disapproving of his behavior. "Hey," he said, sliding his leg out to nudge 'Pepper' in theshoulder. "Stop that. They're not going to hurt you and you attacked *me*," he pointed out. Lit was using the same techniques of power play and pack-mentallity dominance that Santana had used on him as a child. He was bigger, he was stronger (or so it seemed at the moment)...and he was the force to be listened to. Santana just hoped that it worked on Pepper as well as it had on Litural.--
Stumblnig forward a bit Pepper jerked his gaze towards Litural his eyes wide. He...loved this game. He did it with Luthor all the time. Push you I push you back harder! The fact it was his favorite game probably didn't help as he leaned forwad and butted his head against the boys leg. He was smiling, and if he had a tail it would be wagging. He seemed to be easily distracted, but in fact he had so completely believed that Lit told the truth he dimissed Santana as a threat and now that the girl was quiet he didn't mind her either. He....wasn't gently with his head butt. It was full of energy, one would wonder if his skill was made out of the same hard substance that was scrawled across his skin.
Litural growled, showing teeth when Pepper head-butted him, forcing him back a few steps. Yeah, the kid definitely knew the rules...but this wasn't a game that Lit liked to play. Despite he new found comfort levels - Santanna supposed he could thank Auryn for that one - the repeated touching was started to grate Lit's last nerve. "Stop," he said again, and pushed his shin into Pepper's shoulder with the intent on sending him back onto his rump. "I'm not playing," Litural clarified. Santana was beaming. He couldn't believe Lit was pulling this stuff out of his head. And when Auryn sat up, concerned about the sudden change in Lit's tone of voice, he bounced her lightly on his lap. "What Lit'ral doin'?" she asked with a squeak, looking at Santana's face with worry in her eyes. "He's teaching," Santana replied, laughing at himself despite the frenzy that they had managed to avoid.
Pepper did end up on his rump but he was back on his feet again looking up at Litural with innocent eyes. He really hadn't been taught anything, nothign about personal space or rules of edicate. He just did at his pleased which was probably why the technicians were so desperate to catch him. "Yes. Play." He said in an equally firm tone, he reached a hand to tug on Lit's pant leg again. His fingers...literally tapered into long sharp like claws. And even if he was being careful he probably put a couple of holes into the boys pants. "Play." He continued with a smile. "No," Litural repeated, looking at the holes that were being ripped into his jeans with a scowl. "Not until you stop ripping my clothes," he informed Pepper, before turning his body away from him. It was the next step, and while it was one that had never worked well with Lit - he'd just go find something else to get in trouble with - it was the natural course of the world. "He needs his nails trimmed," he informed Santana before giving his own curious head tilt at the peculiar look his guardian was giving him. "What?" "Nothing," Santana said with a chuckle, looking to Auryn who still seemed lost. "You need a nap soon, don't you?" "Nooo," Auryn protested, though she rubbed her eyes wearily. Today had been a long day. "Yessss," the man teased her...keeping half an eye on Litural andPepper, wondering how the boy would responding to being ignored...and halfway prayed that Lit would find the same troubles Santana had. Halfway...after all, there was still the braillewriter that needed to be fetched, and by the shadows that were starting to grow in the room, it would be getting dark soon.--
Santana tensed when Pepper headed their way...barely relaxing once he stopped in front of them, and then felt completely off guard when the boy actually apologized. Well, these two boys were just throwing all kinds of shockers at him today, weren't they? Yes! Scared 'Ryn! Upset Lit'ral and Ana!" she responded to the voice, her own almost scolding him. "Not nice," she said with a pout of her lips, leaning into Santana with a huff. Litural stayed where he was, watching...feeling his entire leg tingling under his pant leg. The last time he'd had that much contact with a person, it'd been when they first brought 'Ryn home and she'd felt the need to touch *everything* in the house...including him. And before that, it'd been his fight with Marieke. "I'll never get used to that," he said with a sigh, shaking out his leg to try and get rid of the pins and needles that were working their way through his nerves. Had he been a weaker person, he would have admitted to the fact that he was trembling...but he wasn't, so he tried to keep anyone from noticing how his leg twitched.--
Pepper blinked a couple of times at her remark. Usually he was proud of inspiring fear in others...though in girls it didn't feel as great as usual. Leaning forward he lightly gripped the edge of her shoe with his teeth, he tugged on it, giving a light growling sound like a puppy may. Playful. He even shook his head a bit trying to show he wasn't going to hurt her. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed Litural was moving. He tried not to grin. He dropped the shoe leaving a couple of dents in it but nothing serious. "Pepper no hurt you. Pepper play." he repeated though he wasn't talking to Lit even if the topic seemed to be directed to him.

Both of the older males in the room definitely seemed apprehensive about Pepper's actions. After all, he was chewing on the little girl's shoe...an action that could have caused an extremely unpleasant reaction from her. But it was Auryn that shocked them both when she started to laugh and giggle at Pepper, shaking her foot in his mouth in return to his playful behavior. And it really shouldn't have been that shocking; 'Ryn was definitely more in tune with the emotions of others, and could *feel* the fact that Pepper wasn't out to hurt her now. "Pepper silly!" she squealed with glee, wiggling her way out of Santana's arms to get onto the floor with the young boy. She growled back at him, mimicking him as best as she could. Santana watched them, before glancing up at Lit and offering a shrug of his shoulders. It was amazing to him how different Lit and Auryn were from each other...the older spawn never would have tolerated everything that the girl did. "Think you'll be ok while I go find someone to get us that braille-writter?" he asked Lit, carefully standing up and moving around the two. "Yeah...I can handle them," Lit answered...still a bit confused, but confident the three of them would be ok. Santana nodded...and slipped out the door into the halls of the facility. After all...he *needed* that machine for 'Ryn.--
Pepper only pawed at her gently as she came to the ground to join him. Though he was still crouching he moved around her in a circle like a cat would growlign back at her in a happy sort of way. It was nice having someone his own size to play with. "Pepper feirce! Pepper strong." He boasted as he thumped his chest in front of her, blantly not aware that she was blind. He kept tabs on where the adult was going and the fact that Lit was suppose to be supervising him. He returned his attention to the girl in front of him. "Guess what?" He said as he sat down in front of her using his claws to delicately grab hold of her shirt. "Pepper get big soon. So big bigger than him." He announced pointing to Lit. "I give ride on back when big. You like that?" he asked sounding hopeful.
She tried to follow Pepper as he moved around her, relying mostly on her other senses of hearing and perception to twist as he did. She was slow, but wherever he stopped, she would eventually end up facing him, smiling and giggling and enjoying this simplified game of hide-and-seek. Litural sat down in a chair not too far away from them, observant and content to stay that way...though he watched carefully. Auryn was quick to reach a certain comfort level with people, and after that point she got very touchy/feely...Lit just had to make sure it didn't go wrong. "Pepper bigger? Bigger than Lit or Ana?" she said with a squeak of interest. "Nah!" was her disbelieving laugh...before considering the fact that maybe he wasn't foolin'? She leaned closer to him, her hand touching his as it tugged on her shirt. "Big for a Piggyback ride? Really?"--
He crossed his eyes as she came in close he didn't mind her being so close...it just felt weird. He just gave a laugh as he nodded his head and ducked his head down to lightly butt against her chest before nuzzling against her. Yes...he liked her. Just his size to play with...it had been a while since he got to play with children his size. "Yes. Big 'nough to give piggy back ride." He boasted before he took a couple of steps backwards and rolled his shoulders. He could feel the sensation in his body start to tingle. It was going to be soon... "Promise no be scared. I get big..but still same Pepper." He cautioned as he didn't want to scare her again. THough his gaze flickered to Lit the smile held more of a impish tint to it.
Auryn gave another giggling squeal as he interacted with her, having not expected the head butt or the nuzzle, but finding them to be very enjoyable and almost comforting actions. When he stepped back her face dropped a bit...was he leaving her? Did he have to go somewhere to get big? But at his voice, still near, she smiled again and bounced in her place, excited about what was going on. Litural didn't really know what to think. He hadn't really been paying attention to *what* they were saying to each other, so when it was mentioned he got bigger, he wasn't sure if this was something serious or just the talk of young children. And the fact that these weren't just any child but the children of angels and demons, anything could be possible...especially with that devilish smirk which Pepper shot his way. "Auryn...be careful," he warned, shifting a bit closer to the pair. "'Ryn careful," she responded...looking up at Pepper for assurance. "No hurt 'Ryn or Lit, right Pepper?"--
Pepper nodded his head enthusiatically. "Yes yes no hurt. Be extra careful.." He started before he gave a grunt that painful feeling spreading through his body, he clenched his teeth together in a snap, he didn't want to give out a cry of pain..not in front of the older kid...nor did he want to scare Auryn. He took a couple careful steps backwards...and then his body trembeled and started to grow. His eyes glowed a feirce golden light as his frame shuddered the sound of joints popping out and in as his body took on a much larger body mass his shorts ripped as his thighs thickened...when he was done he was nearly seven feet in height he shook his head as he setteled into his new body rolling his shoulders to allow the joints to pop back into place. He tossed a look that appeared to be a challange in Litural's direction before be shifted on the ground still on all fours to lean in closer to the girl. She seemed awefully small now. "See? Very big." He stated his voice as deep though the grammer appeard to be very much the same. "No be scared, still same." He stated offered the girl his ..rather long fingers that trailed into long nasty looking talons. But every gesture was measured and careful as if he knew the extent of the damage he could do.
What was Litural going to do? Right before his eyes, a boy only a little bit bigger than Auryn had suddenly grown into a beast that appeared able to take on Shar himself. His mind floundered for a moment before he was up and out of his seat, feathered wings bristling and a growl of warning in his throat. "Auryn, watch out!" he started...but Pepper was proving to be anything but a threat. And 'Ryn, who had been concerned at first when she heard all the sounds of Pepper's body changing, now seemed absolutely fascinated. And when it was all said and done, she could *feel* the change in the room...the lack of space and the definite change in everyone's feeling in the air. "Pepper?" she asked in awe, chubby little fingers reaching out, meeting Pepper's claws half way. And when she felt his physical difference as well as the emotional, her jaw dropped through the floor. "Wow," she whispered, scooting forward to continue to feel his claws, inspecting every inch that he'd allow her to.
Pepper gave a growling laugh as he allowed the girl to inspect him over. He tossed a look at the bristling Litural licking his upper lip and flashing a fanged smile. Yep...those were some sharp teeth he had. He was gentle and shifted so she cuold feel the bone structures on his shoulders as well the many scaly rock like formations on his skin. He didn't even give pause when he bent down to smell her hair. Like a large dog he took in her scent imprinting it to memory before he grabbed a couple strands with his teeth and played with her hair making a mess of it. He was testing Lit's patience in a sense...wondering how much restriant he had to him playing with his little sister.

Auryn explored carefully, not really worried about boundaries but definitely more interested in the different textures of Pepper's skin. When she got to the rocky patches, she teeheed and touched her own scales. "Like me," she said, feeling both patches of skin at the same time, seeing how they were similar or different from each other. When Pepper snuffed in her hair, she erupted into another fit of laughter, playfully swatting at his shoulders to try and get him to stop. And sure, Litural didn't feel comfortable with the situation. The very small girl was sitting practically in the arms of a death machine...but Auryn knew more things about feelings and comfort than Litural ever would. As long as Pepper didn't make a move to hurt her, things where fine. What *bothered* Litural was the fact that he was being tested...Pepper was looking for a breaking point, and Litural hated stuff like that. Standing up and walking over, he stood above the crouched 'boy' with as strong and imposing look as he could manage. "I'm not playing" he stated...a slight curl of a sneer on his lip, but his voice was even. "Be nice to her." He just didn't need 'Ryn getting hurt before Santana came back...
Pepper grinned literally from ear to ear when he heard the other speak. He gently scooped the girl up and offered her his back in which he stood up and straightened after letting the girl get a good hold on his shoulder bones.
"Pepper nice to girl. Pepper is playing though." He stated with a growling sound. It was..harder to be intimidated when the other red skinned one was now shorter than himself. Still he cocked his head to the side his large ears seeming to have picked up a sound. "White coats come...we move." he stated as he started off, he recalled how Auryn hadn't liked the screaming and confusing people and thus he wanted to remove her from the area.
Auryn's grip was awkward at first, but soon she had a tight hold to Pepper's back. "Piggyback!" she cried happily, looking down at Litural...suddenly realizing that her brotherly figure was uber-concerned. Why? She and Pepper were having fun! What was there to be worried about? "Lit'ral okay?" Auryn asked, a little frown on her face. "Why Lit sad?" "I'm worried about you, 'Ryn," Litural stated, somewhat ignoring Pepper's statement. "Pepper is...very big. Santana would be mad if you got hurt." "'Ryn okay!" she said suddenly, as if trying to reassure the older spawn, bouncing a little in her seat on Pepper's back. "Pepper nice!" "Being nice doesn't mean...hey! Hey! Where are you going?" Lit suddenly shouted...for Pepper had started to walk off, with Auryn laughing the whole while. "Come on, Lit'ral!" she called back over her shoulder... "Wee! Go, Pepper, go!" "Auryn!" Lit groaned. Was this how Santana felt?--
Pepper ignored Litural's cry of alarm in fact he found it very funny. ANd as if egged on by Auryn's giggling cries of go! He started to jog, he reached up to steady her with his hands very careful to make sure his claws didn't hurt her. He then took longer strides as he trotted down the hallway the giggling girl on his back. "Pepper can be fast. Want faster?" he asked her curiously. He loved this new game. Lets see how angry her brother could get was a very fun game. He hadn't really been paying attention to their conversation other than that Auryn liked him. And that was enuogh to make him blatantly ignore any commands Litural asked.
Auryn literally hugged around Pepper's neck as he went, enjoying the breeze in her hair very, very much. Her cries of glee echoed through the halls along with the clicking of Pepper's nails...followed quickly by the flopping of Litural's sandals on the floor. Because Litural's worry and panic was starting to settle in his stomach in a way he'd only felt once before, when Auryn had gotten lost while shopping...especially when Pepper started to get farther away. "Auryn! Pepper, stop!" he shouted out to them...digging his feet into his run, trying to keep his wings close to his body. The hall wasn't big enough for him to fly in, and really they were just wind resistance otherwise. Auryn didn't really hear either of them, Pepper or Lit, too swept up in the fun she was having with her new found friend.
Much, much farther down the hall, Santana stepped out of a storage room with a tech, thanking them for helping him find the braille-writer. He held the case of the type-writer type machine in one hand, shaking the tech's with another before starting back the way he came...not knowing that there was a massive amount of chaos heading right his way.--
Pepper hadn't expected the human to step out ahead of him, and since he was basically running hie heavy foot falls weren't exactly quiet but seeing the human he tried to stop his momentum his claws scrapping across the floor loudly a hand making sure Auryn didn't fall off. He skidded to a halt just before the man, his gaze peered down at him as if he was a bit surprised to see him. He then took acouple of steps backwards. He didn't like adults very much.
"So we'll just bring this back whenever..." Santana paused as the heavy footfalls came echoing down the hall. The tech looked like he was ready to piss himself and bolted in the opposite direction, leaving Santana to face whatever it was on his own...which, when Pepper came into view, made Santana understand why the white coated man had bolted the way he did. "Sweet gods," he breathed, bracing himself with the braille-writer...finally exhaling as Pepper came to a stop. "Pepper?" he asked, looking up at the boy in astonishment. "Wha happen?" Auryn asked from her perch. Why'd they stop? "Auryn???" Santana called, his red eyes widening. "Ana!!" Auryn squealed, bouncing happily from her spot. "Pepper gave 'Ryn piggybacks!!"
Litural was upon them quickly, coming around to the front of Pepper without really acknowledging that Santana was there. He was huffing and puffing, wings spread out in his typical display of anger. "Auryn, GET DOWN HERE NOW!" he screamed, spit flying from his mouth. Auryn's happy attitude was quick to disappear. Her little face dropped and she sniffled softly, feeling tears swelling up in her eyes as she lightly patted Pepper's shoulder. "Down...please," she asked her friend, little tears on her face.
Hearing the footsteps from behind if Pepper could lay his ears back he probably would of. When he heard the screaming voice to put Auryn down his immediate reaction was to disobey. He took a step away from Santana and Litural basically putting himself with his back to a wall. He was growling more towards Litural than he was Santana since the man had yet to be aggressive to him. When he heard Auryn's voice...all sad he turned his head to look at her. "Auryn sad?" He asked finally using her name for the first time. He didn't like that Litural had made her cry...and if he put her down there was nothing stopping him from attacking him. Still he hesitated to put her down even as he went to squat bringing her closer to the floor. "Boy make girl cry.." he snarled his gaze locking onto Litural.

"Woa, woa...woa!" Santana cried out, startled by the sudden happenings going on around him. He came up by Pepper's side, helping Auryn down from the boy's back and cradling her close as she sniffled softly against his shoulder. "Lit, stand down!" he declared, his voice far from shouting but conveying a commanding presence so strong, even Pepper could have felt it move through the air. Litural was focused on Pepper, ready to take a flying leap at him...but as Santana spoke, he hesitated. "But he ran off with Auryn!" Litural protested, nerves alive with energy. "STAND DOWN!" the wolfed man stated again...he couldn't do much more than that at the moment with Ryn in his arms. She'd never seen his beast state, and he'd prefer to keep it that way. "You're scaring Auryn," he added, looking at the boy and trying to communicate without speaking. "You're BOTH scaring her." Auryn didn't like all the shouting, and suddenly felt horrible for all the trouble she caused. Pepper was angry, Lit was angry, Ana was angry...everyone was upset and it was all her fault. She sniffled again against her guardian's shoulder...sobbing quietly as she clutched his shirt. The older spawn wouldn't relax...never, never would he let his guard down if Pepper didn't back down too. But he could see Ryn...oh, Ryn, you stupid girl look what had happened.--
Pepper's gaze shifted from Litural to Satana as he was now yelling at Lit to stand down, he was trying to not let it cow him...but even he felt the urge to just sit like a dog may. So he turned his head back to focus on Litural and watched him in a curious manner the aggression had dissapated as soon as it had come as he then felt the command rolling in the air . He looked back to Auryn and he whimpered. He wanted to hold her and tell her it was okay. He didn't like the Litural ruined their fun, but he didn't want her crying anymore. "Pepper only make Auryn laugh.." he said in a sulky tone as he went to sit on the floor or rather crouched.
Santana stood still for a second, trying to keep his own nerves from exploding. Bouncing Auryn gently on his hip, he rubbed her back and trying to get her to calm down...though he knew it was hard when he felt like his fingers were burning. "Lit, count for me," Santana instructed...leaving the boy to hold a still position - almost at attention, but that was more his own doing than from anything Santana had ever taught him - as he started whispering his numbers...100...99...98... "Sorree...'Ana..." Auryn whimpered, nuzzling against Santana's neck as she looked over at her 'older brother' and then down at Pepper. "Sorree...PepPer...Lit'ral..." "Shh, shh...it's ok, Songbird. Boys are just silly sometimes. They're fine now," the guardian hushed as he came to crouch on the floor...trying to hold his control over the situation while appearing non-threatening to Pepper. "Right, Pepper? Everything's ok now...Ryn just doesn't like fighting...and you and Lit aren't gonna fight anymore, right? So Auryn won't be scared?" "PepPer...ok now? Lit'ral too?" Auryn asked, pulling away from Santana just enough to look over his shoulder at the red skinned spawn. "52....51...50....49..." Litural looked better...but he was still counting...he wasn't ready to answer yet...--
In his teen body he looked Satana squarely in the eyes, there was no fear in his gaze but it appeared to be a rather innocent sort of look. The fact there were no shines in his golden eyes cuold be counted as disturbing. He nodded his head at Santana's words slowly, he could gather that Auryn didn't want him to fight Litural...though he thought he deserved a good scrap against the rather mean brother. "Pepper okay, Pepper no want you cry." he replied reaching out to lightly play with the girls shorter hair.
Auryn sniffled...and then offered Pepper a small smile as he touched her, tilting her head into his hand and reaching to touch his arm and wrist in the way she had of doing things. Behind them Litural bristled...oh, he couldn't believe this boy...or what Santana was allowing to happen because of this kid. Just...he growled a bit, and Santana glanced back at him. The sound fizzled - Lit would never be so stupid as the challenge Santana again.
"There...see? All better," the guardian hushed, petting Auryn's back before looking at Pepper. "I think you guys have had enough excitement for the day, huh? Probably time for us to go home...and you to head back to your room. I promise I'll bring Auryn back sometime for you two to play...but you've gotta promise you're not gonna run off with her on your back again, ok?" Auryn beamed at the idea of getting to play with Pepper again, bouncing happily in her spot. "Yea! Play with PepPer again!" she sing-songed. "You can't be serious," Litural hissed, fluffing his wings. "He'll hurt her..." "Lit...he's just a big kid who doesn't understand the magnitude of his own strength...kinda reminds me of another little boy I used to know...and he turned out just fine," Santana said over his shoulder with a knowing smile, before looking to Pepper for his answer. "What do you say? No running off with my Singbird next time, ok?"--
Pepper tilted his head and slowly nodded, he didn't like the rules, but he guessed he had to agree to them if he wanted to see Auryn again. This was why he disliked adults...them and all their rules. "Pepper understand. Pepper no have to see." he jutted a thumb in Litural's direction , "him again does me?" He inquired looking rather sour on the idea.
