Physical Description: The physical resemblance between Alchemar and C’ren is uncanny. Alchemar is slightly taller and thinner than his younger brother and lacks glasses, but besides that, he could probably pass for C’ren with ease. Well, except for his smile. Alchemar can’t really master the whole ‘you all suck’ look that C’ren has perfected over the years. His eyes are closer to blue than gray, but few people really consider that. Living without care or concern has done wonders for Alchemar’s appearance; he could pass for a man much younger than thirty Turns. People occasionally mistake him for C’ren’s twin rather than his older brother. Alchamar takes delight in this. C’ren is… less enthusiastic about it.
Personality: While the two brothers are very much alike in terms of appearance, in personality they couldn’t be more different. Alchamar actually genuinely likes people. And talking. And actually being nice. Cheerful and friendly, he’s rarely seen without a smile on his face, unless some guy makes the mistake of hitting on him. That… doesn’t end well. But, anyway! Continuing. He’s uneasy around dragonriders, but is more tolerant of them than most of his family.
He enjoys attention and goes to some lengths to get it (so long as it isn’t from, you know. Dragonriders…). In groups, he’s more of a follower than a leader. Actually, he’s basically the comic relief of any group. Despite the sheer creepy factor of it, he’ll happily flirt with much younger women. Or women around his age. Or any woman, almost, if only to see her laugh. Yeaaah… he’s a smarmadon like that.
He’s also a fellis-addict and will do juuuust about anything for his next fix. Anything.
History: Well… He’s C’ren’s older brother. >.> They don’t get along. No, wait. Scratch that; Alchemar loves his little brother and would happily protect him from just about anything. C’ren simply hates him. If anyone asks, they have very different stories to tell. Alchemar claims that it was a total misunderstanding and C’ren took it waaaaay too harshly. C’ren simply glares. Occasionally he may even glower.
Like all of his siblings, Alchemar was raised in a small cothold that was instinctively distrustful of dragons and their riders. With his complete lack of muscle----honestly, the man has all the muscle tone of your average rubber band----Alchemar sort of sucked at common farming tasks. An injury to his back made him even more useless for labor so he joined the ‘caravan’ that delivers the food to the nearby Holds. From there, it goes to the Weyr. Luckily, his bright personality suited this task perfectly. It was this old injury that eventually resulted in his addiction to fellis, unfortunately.
It’s hinted that the addiction is also responsible for the rift between the brothers. Either that, or Alchemar pretended to be C’ren and totally embarrassed him.
Pets: He has a pet pony. <3 He loves her. Her name is Tumbleweed. Ceylith wishes to eat her. This may also be the cause of the rift between the brothers.
Other/Talents: What really happened between the brothers is this: C’ren decided to try and take care of his older brother for old times sake. He seemed like he really wanted to get off of the fellis juice and all. Long story short, it didn’t work. Alchemar stole every thing of value from his brother----he even attempted to steal Vox, which didn’t go over very well---and left.
C’ren was less upset about the missing Marks and more pissed off about the betrayal and the injury to Vox. Currently, he refuses to even admit he has an older brother, which tends to upset Alchemar.
Will this character be a candidate? Nope. :3
