Dave took a deep breath, standing outside the door of Professor Rowan's laboratory. "Today's the day," he told himself. Dave raised his hand to knock on the door when, "whoah!" The door swung open and Professor Rowan ran right into Dave. "I'm so sorry Professor!" Dave said, scrambling to his feet.
Professor Rowan pulled Dave to his feet, gave him a stern look and then said, "Come along kid, I'll need a trainer's help!" Professor Rowan ran off into the direction of Twinleaf Town, Dave following behind.
"But Professor," Dave panted as he caught up with Rowan, "I'm not a trainer, I just came to get my first pokemon!"
"Very well, here's my bag, surely you've done your research!" Professor Rowan ran past Twinleaf town, straight towards Lake Varity, thrusting his bag at Dave, who was still following behind. "Pocket one contains Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Pocket two-Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. Three-Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip. Four-Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup!"
They were nearing Lake Varity. Dave thought for a second, then reached into pocket two, locating a pokeball with a drop of water on it. "Alright," Dave said, "I choose Totodile."
Professor Rowan smiled, "Great choice. Now just wait to send it out until we reach the lake. I'll need your help in a little battle."
Dave filled with excitement, his first real pokemon battle was approaching.

Jo's boat pulled into the Harbor of Snowpoint City. "Gosh," Jo said, holding Oddish tight in her arms, "Its freezing here. Oh look, its Aunt Sue!" Jo ran off the boat with Oddish and met up with her Aunt Sue.
Aunt Sue frowned at Jo, "Good gracious! It must be negative fifteen degrees out and you're not even wearing a long sleeved shirt! And your pokemon! This surely isn't any weather for a grass pokemon such as Oddish."
Jo had only just opened her mouth to speak when her aunt shushed her, sending a Honchcrow from a pokeball. "Honchcrow, I want you to take Jo to Sandgem Town immediately. Then report back here for dinner!"
Jo smiled, "Don't I get to stay with you for a little while before starting my journey?"
Aunt Sue shook her head, "You should have thought of that earlier. Perhaps before you didn't pack your coat! Honestly! What has gotten into you?"
And so, Jo hopped onto Honchcrow and she and Oddish began their flight to Sandgem Town.

Dave and Professor Rowan reached Lake Varity, only to find two strange people there already.
"Confirmed," said the first one, speaking into his walkie-talkie.
The second person turned, noticed Dave and Rowan, then took the walkie-talkie, "Sir, it seems there's people here. What should we do?"
Rowan quickly told Dave that he had heard reports of suspicious people doing tests at Lake Varity, and came here to stop them. Dave nodded, and listened intently as a cold voice emitted from the walkie-talkie, "battle them. You're not my strongest grunts. But give them a taste of Team Galactic's true power."
"Yes sir!" said the Galactic Grunts. They then reached into their pockets and each pulled out a pokeball.
Dave clutched his Totodile's pokeball, then sent it out for his first battle.
"Stunky! Glameow! Go!"
Professor Rowan turned to Dave, "I'll take care of the Stunky, you worry about the Glameow," he then pulled out a pokeball of his own, "Staravia, go!"
"Totodile!" Totodile noticed that a battle was about to begin, then gave Dave a serious look, informing him that he was prepared.
"Alright Totodile, my name's Dave, and I'm your new trainer. Right now, we've got to give these goons a taste of your power, though." Totodile nodded.

Team Galactic Admin Commander Vine walks up to the send off spring.
"finally after almost a year of searching i've found what Cyrus was talking about." Commander Vine mumbles.
Evee his pokemon team leader walks ahead and begins to growl as if danger is ahead.
"Evee whats wrong..."
(sir) a voice came through his walkie talkie.
"yes grunt waht do you want."
(there are some people here what do we do.)
"what do you think defeat them." Commander Vine told the grunt.
"i dont have time for this we have to train let gototwinleaf town evee its a long walk but its ok." Commander Vine told Evee.

commander vine and his evee arrive at twnleaf town " are you ready" "we gotta get ready to see my mom" Evee looks up at his trainer and smiles because he knows that mother is near by.
"Ohh My God Will youve grown so big since ive last seen you. Well... are you going to come in or just sit there and have you eatn anything you look like a twig." Commander vines mother said. His mother did not know that he was now apart of team galactic and he didnt want her to know.
"... My who is this strong looking pokemon. Evee ive missed you you look so strong now Will has taken good care of you." mother said.
"well mom we just came by to say hello and see the new house but we really gotta get to our training if we are going to beat the elite four in shinnoh."
"Well ok just come back for dinner at least and stay here for the night i need the company."
"OK i promise"
Commander Vine and his Evee walk out the house and go tward the tall grass.

(So sorry I haven't been on, my life has been a little busy lately.)
Totodile gave Dave a friendly smile, and then stared at Glameow with a look of disgust.
"Glameow," ordered the Galactic grunt, "use fake-out!" Glameow charged towards Totodile and struck him with her tail. "Nice job taking the hit, Totodile, now use scratch!" But Totodile couldn't move. "Huh?"
The grunt laughed, "hahaha, fake-out is a move that causes the opponent to flinch. Now Glameow, hypnosis!" Glameow opened her mouth and a series of sound waves emitted, hitting Totodile. Totodile fell to the ground and began to sleep.
"Totodile!" Dave yelled but it was no use, Totodile lay asleep on the ground. "Now Glameow, use scratch!" Glameow pounced on Totodile and struck him with her claws.
Dave, filled with nerves, looked to Professor Rowan, who had just finished his battle. Rowan nodded, "I'll take over from here Dave, that Glameow is much to high of a level for Totodile. Staravia, wing attack!" Dave ran and picked up Totodile. He shook him lightly and Totodile woke up.
"Sorry Totodile, that Glameow is a bit too strong. But you'll be able to beat it some day." Totodile smiled, and held on to his trainer. Dave then watched as Staravia defeated Glameow.
The grunts growled, then ran away. "Thanks, Dave. Sorry for putting Totodile in such danger." "Oh no, its alright. Don't worry. Totodile is fine." Professor Rowan smiled, "It looks like you two already have quite the friendship. Lets go back to the lab."

Robert stepped off of the boat as soon as it pulled into the port south of Sandgem. According to Professor Birch, he would need to meet with Professor Rowan in order to update his pokedex and pokenav, as well as to register for the Sinnoh League. A cute yet oddly colored Ralts sat atop Robert's shoulder. "Well Lilly, here we are. Now, all we need to do is find Rowan's lab so we can gt ourselves registred. Then we'll show all of Sinnoh how great we can become." Robert said. Lilly smiled and gave a nod.
Taking out a tourist map, Robert planned out what route they needed to go and where in the small town the lab was located. usually he relied on his pokemav for directions, but until he could get it updated with a map of Sinnoh, the pokemnav would be all but useless.
As he finally made his way into town, blocks away from the lab, his eyes widened from what he saw down the street. Two Galactic grunts ran past, as though they were in a hurry to go someplace, or get away from someone. Oh no. They're in this region too? He thought to himself. He was going to have to be extra careful now. Even though it was a legendary pokemon that brought down the thugs that chased him all those years ago, he was still a key part to Galactic getting the boot out of Hoenn by providing testemony and showing the police where the base he stumbled upon was. "Looks like we're going to have to watch our step here Lilly. But at least this time we're stronger, and we'll be getting even moreso on our adventures here." he spoke with a smile before heading over to the lab. He knocked, but there didn't seem to be any answer. "Think the professor is out Lilly?" he asked, looking up at his Ralts.

Dave and Rowan quickly made their way back to the lab. "Sorry, for making you run so much Dave," Rowan said dashing towards Sandgem Town, "I got the call in the middle of work, so I had to drop everything and run to those goons."
Dave glanced down at the happy Totodile in his arms, and then back at Rowan, "Oh don't worry, its nothing. Thanks for Totodile, by the way." Rowan smiled, "Ahh its nothing, I love helping out trainers new in the business."
Dave and Rowan finally reached Sandgem Town. While walking towards the lab with Rowan, Dave realized there was someone waiting at the front door. Rowan gave a deep laugh and then spoke to the stranger, "Ahh, so you must be Robert....Professor Birch told me to be expecting you. Come on in, I'll get you all set up." Rowan then unlocked the door and welcomed both Dave and the stranger into the lab.

Robert looked over to see the professor along with another trainer and a totodile. "Ah, you must be Professor Rowan. Yes, I'm Robert, pleasure to meet you." he replied. Robert stepped off and to the side while the professor unlocked the door. He still felt a bit uneasy after seeing the galactic grunts, but he couldn't let himself live in fear. Instead of working on avoiding them, he was going to have to become strong enough to fend them off, strong enough to take them on.
Once inside, he would hand Rowan his pokedex and pokenav. He looked over to th other trainer. "Who might you be?" He asked in a friendly tone of voice. Lilly bounced off of Robert's shoulder and onto his lap once Robert sat down on the couch.

Matt Walked out of his house, his parents standing in the doorway waving goodbye.
Matt's father yelled "Take Care Matt. And be sure to visit when you get a chance."
Matt grinned "Sure, Sure. As soon as i can."
As Matt walked away from his house, his parents shut the door. He looked up and say Rowan and some strange person run into the lab.
Matt thought *Well, guess going to Rowan's would be a good start*
Matt walked to the house. The door was shut and the two people were inside. Matt stood still and knocked on the door twice.

Dave followed Rowan into the lab with the stranger at his side. He watched as Robert handed Rowan a pokedex and a pokenav. Rowan took them in his hands and turned to Dave, "This is a pokenav, kind of like a computerized map, unfortunately, I don't supply new trainers with these. However, I do supply trainers with the pokedex, you'll get yours just after I update Roberts." Rowan plugged both the pokenav and pokedex into the computer, and began to update them.
Dave then turned to Robert after being spoken to, "My names Dave. So your names Robert?" Dave spoke with a smile. Then, there was a knock on the door and Rowan quickly opened it to greet yet another trainer, "Welcome, come on in."

Robert gave a nod to Professor Rowan, then to Dave. "Yup. Pokenavs are used quite alot in the Hoenn region. While Professor Rowan doesn't provide them, Professor Birch does. Not only can you use it to find out where you are and plan your route, it also allows you to send and recieve messages from other pokenav users." Robert explained. Lilly snuggles up agianst Robert's chest, yawning cutely before taking a quick nap.

Matt stood at the door for a few minutes. Then shrugged, he walked away. He decided it would be best to head to Jubilife city.
So he started to head towards Route 202.
Matt knew he had his work cut out for him.
Matt started on the Route. As he walked he heard a noise behind him. He spun around and say a small zigsagoon behind him. It looked very very angry. Matt grabbed the pokemon on his belt and enlarged it.
"Alright. I don't want any trouble, little guy."

Matt stood still, the zigzagoon used Quick Attack. It was so fast, Matt didn't even have time to get his Trapinch out.
Matt closed his eyes, and heard a thud. But, Matt felt no pain. He opened one eye and saw a Elekid Standing in front of him. The Zigzagoon was on its back a few feet away.
Apparently the Elekid jumped in the way and took the hit. But, it seemed like it didn't even get hurt.
After a few seconds, the zigzagoon got up. The Elekid charged up to scare it away. And the Zigzagoon took notice of it. It then ran back into the woods.
The Elekid turned to Matt "Ele Ellee!". It seemed really happy.
"Uhhhh Thanks for the help Elekid.". It smiled at Matt then started to walk away.
Matt looked at it and knew what he had to do.
"Hey... Elekid! Would you like to join me? well... Us?". Matt sent out his Trapinch.
It yulped in joy "Trap Trapin".
Matt pulled out a new Pokeball for Elekid.
The Elekid look at the pokeball and smiled.
Matt through the pokeball and caught Elekid.
"Ya!! I got Elekid."
Trapinch cheered "Tra Trapin!!"
