User Image Malda rested at the edge of one of his favorite lakes in his elder form. This was rare for the golden dragon since he usually prefered being in the elven form. It felt good to soak up the heat of the warm sun on days like this however so he made an exception for the day. His golden, bright fur was probably even easier to spot now that the sun was shining down on him. The new season was coming which meant more flowers and plant would be growing. He would have different kinds of models to draw. His mind mused over all this we he stared down at his reflection in the water where his nose was only about an inch from touching its cool surface. By the tip of his tail, some sketches of drawings could be seen. Malda always brought his hobby along wtih him somehow after all.

It was a great day to go for a swim, the water had always been a calming thing for Alei'andryth. She followed a stream she knew fell into the lake she wished to visit, it wasn't too far from her den. She grinned as she climbed up on a large rock and looked over the lakes edge, noticing a glimmer of gold, not usual for the lake she knew so well. Alei dove into the water, her sleek body shooting through the water with ease. She stroked large quick strokes, occasionally rising for air, but she was curious to see what the gold glimmer was.
She stopped a couple miles out, enough for him to see her. It was another dragonfly, but he was different than the others she had met, he was like her, he had fins and shimmered like she did. She smiled and made her way to the shore, she wanted to meet this new dragonfly.
As she left the water, she thumped her tail hard against the sand and the water fell from her coat.

Malda had witnessed this other elder approach him from afar. He had caught sight of her almost as soon as she came. She was so much like him, except with silver colored scales and beautiful, wide, breath-taking wings. He rose up from where he was laying and stretched his legs quickly so he could greet the this silver dragon properly. Yes, she must be another dragon. The evidence was all in front of him. Even if it had been such a long time since he had seen another of his "kind", Malda could tell a dragon elder from a normal elder from a two miles away. It made him happy to see someone like him again. The gold dragon was starting to feel like a needle among a pile of hay, the odd number one in the bunch. She seemed to him that she wanted to see him, so he took the liberty in calling out to her. "Hello. Lovely day for a swim..." He greeted and chuckled a bit. "Maybe I'll take a dip later myself." The tip of his tail rested gently on his drawing material to make sure he didn't exactly hit it away as he spoke to the other elder. He had a few drawings in there he was dying to finish.

Alei gave a warm smile and lowered her head in a bowing gesture. He was certainly not a threat, not an immediate one at least. She shook out the rest of the water from her now gleaming coat and looked back to the gold dragon.
"Ai, it is a wondrous day to swim." She looked him over a little more and was sure he was like her. She watched him for a moment, noticing the small pile of things behind him at the tip of his tail, things she hadn't seen before, but again, she couldn't remember the last time she had seen anyone similar to herself. She moved a little closer to him, in a distance that they could speak at a comfortable tone.
"You look so very similar to me.... My name is Alei'andryth, if you would please, you may call me Alei." She bowed her head once more before lowering her hind haunches to examine him a little more now that she was closer. She was curious as to how much he knew about them, about why they were different, maybe he could enlighten her on aspects she was yet unaware of.

Malde smiled. "Alei'andryth... What a lovely and unique name," He smiled and bowed his head politely as she did. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Alei. It's always nice to see another dragon elder. Sometimes it feels like we all might of died out." There had beem a time where he felt he had seen many more creatures that were simillar to him, but that was such a long time ago... "My, you have such nice wings. I haven't seen wings like those in a while." Ah, he was getting ahead of himself. He just realized he hadn't yet introduced himself. "Oh! My name is Malda. I don't really have a nickname, but if you think of one you feel is suitable free to call me by it."
