Masque sighed as she trotted her way through the forest, her mind millions of hoofbeats away. It was alright though, her feet knew this path by heart. There was only one reason to follow this trail through the forest to the base of the mountain range. When she got there she turned into an imposingly tight corridor of stone into the mountain, round a corner, and down another graveled path. It abruptly turned right, and ended in a secret glade in the heart of the ring of peaks. Their father often did aerial stunts over the small glade, and Kaishara had taken to doing the same, when Papa was not around.

The black mare, painted with her glorious colors, was soaring over the gently waving grass now. No stunts, just the sharp banking, easy gliding, and the occasional shallow dive. At the sight of her sister -a splash of color on the meadow below far larger than the dainty flowers- Kaishara released a knicker of greeting and spiraled down. She landed with a prancing trot over and nuzzled Masque's cheek. "Glad you're here.. Chaci shouldn't be too far behind..." She laughed. It was good they were finally getting a chance to have a girls day.. She couldn't wait for the talk that would ensue...

Chaci huffed, almost clawing her way up the side of the mountain. Who's idea was it to meet here?! Probably Kai's, Miss-i -can-fly. She was coming from a different direction than they were, blazing her own trial.
Which was ridiculous, because to her left, a trial. What the hell was she thinking?! Oh, that's right, nothing.
She pushed through the final brush, huffing. "I'm- *wheeze* Here. *wheeze* "

Kaishara couldn't help it... When her cream-colored sister appeared sounding more like the big Bad Wolf than Chaci, she laughed. "Well hey there Wheezy..." She teased with a glint in her eye. "I'd hate to see what happened if you did things the hard way Chac!"
"Oh Chaci!" Masque smiled and shook her head. "Do you need a moment? Or a drink?" She flicked her tail toward the little stream, looking concerned. "I don't want you to faint or something... Papa would NEVER forgive us!"

Chaci huffed, trying to breath. "If I wasn't so tired. *wheeze* I'd kick your a** birdy." She gave a final wheeze, breath comming out in pants now. "Nah i'm alright Masque." She sucked in a deep breath, smiling at her sister. "Im not gunna faint. Your rumps are safe, for the moment."
"So birdy, what exactly are we doing here?"

"I'd like to see you try, Old Mare." Kaishara baited her sister playfully, flaring her wings. "Come on, I think I could take you.. Right back down the mountain!" She reared and laughed, prancing around. "Why are we here... Hmmmm..."
Masque smiled and nosed Chaci just to be sure. "If you say so." She replied sweetly. "How did you happen to lose Ty?" It seemed like the wind was always following her cream-coated sister. "And yes, Kaishara, what are we doing here?"
Kaishara grinned wider. "Talking..."

Chaci laughed, shaking her head. "Old mare? Pot calling the kettle black eh?" The cream coated mare just grinned at her sisters. "Delphy distracted him. Hopefully she got away from him AND Ash...Honestly, the poor girl has it double." Delphina landed gently at the edge of the clearing, smiling widely at the mares before her. "Yea, I lost them...Though I wouldn't put it past either of them to come looking for us..."

"More power to her then.." Kaishara Immareska laughed softly. "That's quite the accomplishment you know... And I've no notion of how she managed to do such a thing- Oh!" The wind mare grinned as Delphina arrived, trotting over to nose her in greeting. "Well done handling the lads there Del... No idea how you managed it.. Luckily enough Father and Imri went for a race or something.. I never could have gotten Masque out of there otherwise. And sure enough Ash will go wandering, I doubt he'd look for us directly."
"She has a point." Masque smiled a greeting to Delphina. "Well-played by the way, Del... But if father hadn't gone out, I doubt we could have told him anything that would make him let us go wandering without making him want to check in on us later..." She rolled her eyes, glancing to the circle of friends. "So now.. That what we've all given the males the slip for the day.. How is everyone?"

The cream coated mare gave a shrug, watching her sisters and Del for a moment. Del was tiny, a pixie like Ash often called her, so escaping her over-protective father and mate was pretty easy for her. Until they noticed she was gone. Then the world was ending, and they had to send out the search parties for her. She loved it though, relishing in the attention and affection Ash gave her. "He might..." Chaci murmured, casting a glance toward the path. "Where his pixie is concerned, I would put nothing past that stallion, thats for sure."
Del giggled, returning the greetings to the other mares. "Well, I am a 'pixie'. I can slip out from under their noses sometimes." Of course, most of the time, she didn't want to be out from under Ash's watchful gaze. She loved him more than anything, and being with him everyday made her heart soar. Ruffling her wings, Del smiled at Masque. " I'm fantastic...Really."

"Well Delphina does have a distinct advantage over her mate, if not her father." Kaishara murmured, flaring one wing and nosing a feather into place before she folded it to her back. "Afterall, Ashrialto cannot fly after her to find out where she's gone... So really all she has to do is make sure he's distracted and then take wing. That's where her father becomes a bit more of a problem." The Phantomess grinned, winking playfully. "But you managed it, well done Delphina."
"A Pixie, yes, we keep forgetting that." Masque murmured with a shake of her head, golden eyes bright with amusement. "Well, not really 'a' Pixie. More like 'his' Pixie, but we all know that. Are you fantastic, Del? Even without your Knight here? You can tell me, I can take it." She sighed dramatically, dropping her head and hiding in her mane. "You'll never love us as much again, you're too busy with that handsome silver-eyed stallion of yours."

Chaci rolled her eyes, watching her sister . Masque certainly had Papa's flair for the dramatic... And his hair. But that was another story. "No, Ash certainly can't fly after her... Just like your sisters can't fly after YOU. Next time we run from Papa and the others, lets find a place that isn't half way up a mountain, sound good to you?" The mare grinned, nosing her older sister. "Well, once she evades Ash, Ty is much larger than us... He couldn't get through that tree line if he tried."
Del flushed, scraping a hoof across the earth. "I do miss him, but its good to be away from each other some. I miss our girls days." Scowling playfully when Chaci made a gagging noise, Del shook her white mane, grinning at the other mares. "I still love you! I just enjoy spending time with him is all... "

Kaishara puffed out her cheeks, making a playful face in response to Chaci's look and the roll of her eyes. Putting on a snippy tone and pulling an annoyed expression. "Don't look at me in that tone of voice." She ruined the severe air with a peal of laughter and fluffed her wings. "Yes, I'm aware that my sisters cannot fly after me. Sadly, Papa can, and it is more he that I should worry about than you." She glanced around, as though seemingly surprised. "Oh, you mean some place not like this? Yes, I suppose it would be easier for you if you didn't have to climb a mountain. I'll work something out for our next meeting."
Masque grinned at Del, amused at the shy reply. "We miss you, you know. It's not the same without you, and I think we all need a girl's day every now and then. Perhaps we should arrange a boy's day so they don't feel ignored? Keep them distracted, at the least." A thought flicked through her mind, and she frowned. "I hope they wouldn't get the idea to hunt us down and see what we're doing, what with them being in a pack and all... They do tend to be more trouble when they're together."
