ATTENTION MAGGOTS!
V0 has just released the pertinent data regarding the biggest lagfest in Gaia, that's right Halloween. Here's the detail.
Quote: Dear Users, This weekend we will be kicking off the Halloween festivites... Here's what's in store and when it will happen: 1) Storyline, Forum Event - Friday, October 28th, 3:30pm PST - We will be opening Gambino's mansion for a special event as well as launch a storyline update. This event will run until Sunday at midnight PST. 2) Trick or Treating on GAIA - Sunday, October 30th, 3:00pm PST - Trick or Treating in both the website(through NPC shops) or in GAIA Towns. Trick or Treating will be available until Tuesday, November 1st at noon PST. During both of these events, special themed items can be earned through participation. Happy Halloween everybody! pirate
You know what this means right? We must prepare for the worst. Zombies, robots, aliens, otakus, and giant hedghogs by the name of "Spiny Norman." ANYTHING.

I wonder if we can sharpen our new shovels and have some accidental fun with the possible tresspassers?
From what the note about Trick or Treat happening this Sunday, I fear that we shall need all our wits and defences sharpened! pirate

ATTENTION: As you may have noticed at Ian's shop, there is a refurbished sheet for 100g. This is a partial gold drain. There are 13 potential ghosts (but no Scooby Doo or Vincent Price) and there rare one is the Angel Ghost Sheet.
I have finally secured all 13 >:3
GOOD HUNTING and beware the gold sink.

The party forum was closed for a bit a half hour ago. The lag was painfully slow before and only tolerable now. I have 15 gunnys and have seen beakers full with 50 0 or more.
The Grunny tee shirts turned up in the marketplace before the forums went dark for 15 minutes at prices up to 10.000 gold. Typical Gaian greed.
I hope the lag will lighten up by morning so I can get a tee shirt and whatever else is up for grabs this time around.

Considering that Gaia is run on at least 55 cheap a** lightweight servers, this isn't a really surprise. In fact, it's a minor miracle that Gaia ever works. The reality is that the load these servers have to deal with is too much for the network of computers running the software. Tempting fate by opening the forums for postwhoring pushes everything right to the edge. I can't manage to post garbage in the party forum fast enough to keep from becoming bored.

All seems much better now. The lag is minimal.
But posting so much is so distasteful just to get a pair of green bunny slippers and lose my nice skin tone.
I wonder how the trick or treat will go starting Sunday?
