The territory was fresh in her mind. She had previously met with a young male on the outskirts of here by the name of Strongear. It had been a few nights of greetings and a small invitation to the ever-growing pack of wild dogs. Her ears stand forward as the sound of hustle and bustle rolls on the soft wind carrying her fur lightly around her body. She breaths in the heavily scented air and breaths out. Excited to finally be entering the grounds of the Peke Na. Shaking herself a bit Twana wanders a bit further, her steps becoming more and more nervous and cautious as she goes.
Would they like her, accept her, was she okay? She kept pondering this to herself as she stepped time after time. She wasn't to far away now. the scents were stronger, so many and so unfamiliar. It was so fascinating to this few week old pup. Her nose was lifting to the air happily taking in the smells. "Hello?" She whispers, seemingly shy and semi-not wanting a reply to her hello but, sort of wanting a greeting. Her tail was low now, showing her sign of friendliness. Having found a 'safe' distance she decides to try for a small call. She whimper/barks gently, asking for anyone around.

Risktaker was doing his usual nightly rounds, greeting his friends and checking up on the youths and their families. He was restless, as he had been in these last few weeks, antsy with the anticipation of his own new family. He found himself drawn to pups, paternal instincts strong, and he enjoyed their company, trying to help them and see if he could make an impression.
He heard a voice, a young one, and his ears swiveled before he turned his head. Sniffing the air, he caught a scent he didn't recognize and padded toward it, fur bristling a bit protectively, but he wasn't the kind to leap to conclusions. He spotted an unfamiliar pup and, arching an eyebrow, moved toward it.
"Are you lost, little one?" He called carefully, his voice jovial and warm.

Ears perked forward and body a bit tense. She wasn't much for being shy but, she felt kind of weird about this meeting. About meeting a new dog she didn't know. She thinks about Zuberi and the weird feeling slips away. "Hello." Her voice is small and body crouched making her small and appear submissive. "I don't think I'm lost.. this is the border to the Peke Na?" She smiles to herself, mind flowing through what her male friend had taught her. Which wasn't much but, enough. She was starting to get a little worried that she had stumbled onto a wrong area though. What if I have? Her mind raced a moment, tail sticking her to her belly and ears relaxing back a bit.

Risktaker blinked.
"Y-yeah, it is," he said, trying not to grin. What was one puppy doing all on her own, asking for the Peke Na. He moved closer, crouching so that he wasn't towering over her. It was easier to talk to pups when he was closer to their level, he found. Made him feel like he could relate to them better.
"This is where we all live. Are you trying to find someone in the pack? Your mom, or dad, maybe? I don't... remember anyone saying they misplaced a pup," he looked a bit perplexed, "but you say you're not lost. So why don't you tell me why you're here?"

Her eye's wandered a bit, taking in the surroundings just to double check her mind-map. He confirmed it. This was indeed the Peke Na borderline. She was confused as to why he was confused but, answered his questions willing. "My parents are nearby. They know I'm here." She smiles, tail wagging a little, she remains happy and tries to cure the confusion in the air with a smile and more answers. "I'm looking to join here.." She says bluntly.
Her nose captures a few scents and finds Zuberi's all jumbled in. His scent comforts her and helps her along making this major decision. "I want to be a Peke Na." She says her eyes, pink and green, glue to Risktakers. "My name is Umhlaba`Umntwana." She says giving her full name. She remembers Zuberi mentioning a name change but, she knew nothing of it at this moment.

"You want to join the pack?" Risk said, his voice smiling though he struggled not to let the expression onto his muzzle. He didn't know what to think, beyond the normal questions he felt he was supposed to ask. Like if her parents knew she was coming to join, if she was running away, or if it was fine by them. He tilted his head.
He should probably ask those out loud.
"Well, hello Umhlaba'Umntwana," he echoed, making sure to get the pronunciation right. Or at least to echo her to the best of his ability. He nodded his head deeply in a little show of respect, "I'm Risktaker. Sorry if I keep asking too many questions, but is it okay for you to be trying to join this pack on your own? I mean, you're not trying to run away or anything, right? We always like to have new members, but most of the time they're older, or with parents."

Twana smiles, her tail dragging across the ground in a slow wag. "Yes, I'd very much like to join." She says, trying to gather up as many larger words as she could so she seemed more grown up. "Both my parents know I would come here, I'm not running away. My Mom, Banafrit enjoys travel.. I have chosen to come here for a dear friend and to learn." Oh how she craved learning. How she wanted to know so much. It was hard for her not to ask her own questions, she knew enough from Zuberi to be okay with joining. Her dream was to be a healer, work with the land to make others better. She smiles to herself with that thought.

Risktaker smiled. He felt like she was telling him the truth. Pups had a few easily recognizable tells when they were lying, and he was becoming very good at recognizing them, considering how many pups he had to deal with inside the pack. Plus, her earnest nature and the look in her eyes were more than a give away. She really did want to join.
"Well, if that's the case, we'd be happy to have you, little one. You'll find the ways of the pack out soon enough, and if you need any help you have a good friend already in me. And whoever else it is that you're here for." He grinned, unable to help but feel a bit paternal. He always did, when dealing with the younger pups, and he knew it was because he was anticipating his own family.
"I'll give you a tour, if you'd like, and take you to the chief. I'm a good guy to have for that, you know. She likes me," he grinned, teasing his lifemate more than the pup in front of him. Wisdomchaser would be happy to welcome this pup into the pack. Risk was already wondering what her wolf name might be.

Twana was overjoyed with the acceptance. It was easier than she imagined and she couldn't wait to tell whomever would listen. "A tour! A tour would be awesome!" Her puppy-ish nature kicked back into gear and she was quickly on all fours with her tongue hanging out and energy pumping quickly through her body. "I can't wait to meet EVERYONE!" She exclaims, eyes non-stop gazing about. "Oh! When do I get to meet the chief?" The cheif, sounded like a very knowledgeable position to Twana and made her rather excited. Learning about everything, most importantly the ways of the earth, were her life.

"Well, I can take you to Wisdomchaser now, if you want. Like I said, she doesn't mind meeting new members. But come on, let's at least show you around a little bit, and see if it really is a place you want to stay in."
Risk nodded his head, padding slowly into the pack lands. He'd show her Father Tree first, as it was a good gathering place for others, and a very important epicenter for the pack itself.
"Have you heard about our Way? The Now? It's not complicated, but we're united in our way of thinking, and it might be a bit difficult to adjust if you don't know about it. Ha. It's not like changing who you are, of course, but really adapting what you know. You'll see. It's something you really have to experience."

As excited as Twana was to meet this 'Wisdomchaser' the idea of being shown around first was more appealing. Though the word Wisdom kept interrupting her thoughts. "I'd love that!" She said and began padding after him, her paw steps falling a bit quicker to keep up with him as sh was quite a bit smaller. "The Way?" She asks. She remembered Zube mentioning the Way but, she didn't know much at all. And of course with the mention of something she didn't know much about her curiosity began to bloom larger.
[Her brother [Owned by Seaki] was also interested in joining.(8]

Risk gave her the short hand tour, knowing she would get the grand tour in due time. He showed her the dens and the various sections of their lands, and lastly took her to the Father Tree, looking at it with a distant smile on his face for a moment before looking down at her.
"The Way is more a guiding principal than a rule you learn and follow. Simply put, you must allow yourself to live in the Now. While the past will always affect us, mold us, and teach us it cannot dictate our actions today. Living in the moment, for the moment, is a difficult concept to explain. It's not like 'hey, just do whatever you want, whenever the impulse hits'. It's more subtle than that. The Way is a celebration of life, and living it. We serve each other, love each other, and we make our Now together with every passing second."
He looked down at her again, wondering if he was speaking over her head, "don't worry too much, you'll pick it up."

Every new, different patch of land was very beautiful and Twana enjoyed every sight. She kept silent respecting Risktaker as he spoke and any questions that popped up she left in the back of her mind. When it came to his explaining the Way she was extremely curious but, once again asked nothing. She'd get to it later. "Thank-you." She smiles. this group was very understanding with younger pups and Twana was enjoying it very much. Of course she'd miss her family but, she could truly call this home.

"Not a problem," Risktaker laughed, smiling down at her. He led the way to Wisdomchaser's den, just pointing it out. There was no rush, and he didn't want to overwhelm her.
"So take your time, enjoy the lands and see if you do want to live here. Talk to Wisdomchaser, find your name, and be welcomed into our home. I'll leave you now, if you want to go back to where ever you're staying and get some rest, or if you want to shack up here somewhere? I, of course, live right here, with my lifemate." He laughed, smiling.

Twana was all tail wags and smiles as he set to wander off. This area was beautiful and exciting and she had more than enough energy to continue on by herself, maybe find Zuberi and look around some more. Her nose scented the air looking for him but, she was no tracker without her eye's and moving about to get a clearer idea of his whereabouts. She looked to Risktaker and flashed him a welcomed smile. "Thank-you sooo much!" She says happily, the pup in her showing pretty largely. "I'm going to look around a little more than I'll go see Wisdomchaser!" She explains her plans easily in one sentence and then bounds away into more of the Peke Na's territory.
