Name: Kiriwar
Age: 19 Turns
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Craft: Vintner
Rank: Apprentice/Candidate
Physical Description: Tall and lanky, Kiriwar looks every bit the charmer that he is. He has a tussle of black hair that he usually holds back in a small braid, just to keep the curl in it from getting in his way. His eyes are brown and stand out with pleasant warmth against his lightly tanned skin – he does not have much color, due to working mostly indoors. Given his chosen Craft, he tends to have light stains of purple or red on his large hands and feet from working with grapes to make wine. His smile is a touch dashing, bringing a dimple to his left cheek and a sparkle to his eye. Tall, Kiriwar has a light build, but is not too thin, having a comfortable layer of muscle on him from his craft, having to move barrels and stomp out grapes.
Personality: As mentioned before, Kiriwar is a charming character. He flirts without meaning to and without any intention of harm, having grown up mostly with his father’s influence. His confidence is high, and he has no problem telling himself that he can do anything if he puts his mind to it. This tends to get him into a spot of trouble every now and then, because this confidence also makes it hard for him to ask for help when he really cannot do all which he thinks he can.
When he interacts with others, he is friendly and quick to strike up conversation, treating just about anyone as though they have been friends for some time. If he is scorned or rudely approached, he closes up into a more serious attitude until good terms are reached – and to him, good terms can always be reached. He will try for some time, with smiles and kind words, hoping to bring about good relationships with everyone.
History: Kiriwar grew up with both parents, and later, two younger brothers, born when he was Five and Seven Turns. His father had a business working in wines, so the trade was passed down to Kiriwar and he relished in it, finding a talent in Tasting wines to detect flavors and age. He grew up in a happy home, but it was tensely happy – his mother preferred her younger sons to Kiriwar. They were more like her in personality and were interested in following her family steps by going into the craft of Tanning. His father did his best to shield the oldest boy from this, finding it to be unfair of his wife to think this way, but there was only so much to be done. His younger brothers were aware of being favorite above their elder brother, leading to lots of arguments. Home was the one place that Kiriwar easily lost his temper.
As time went on, Kiriwar’s mother began to accept him more, especially as he came closer to the age of not being Searched and the younger sons came closer to the age of being Searched. When the Search reached their family and Kiriwar was selected, but not his younger brothers, the careful relationship built between him and his mother was crashed into pieces. She would have much preferred her younger sons to become riders, merely as a matter of pride that she still had. He communicates with his father and tries to talk with his mother, but she seems to be ignoring him.
Pets: None
Other/Talents: Talented at being a Taster, having a good nose and a sensitive tongue that allows him to differentiate between flavors in wine and ages.
