These waterfalls are a popular hang out during the summer, and is often used by the shrine for absolutions.
Its South east of town, about five minutes down a dirt road.

Kouken drove Soka through town eventually coming to the falls. He exited the car and opened her door for her. "We are here, dear Soka-chan." He held his hand out to help her up.

It was brighter now as the sun had risen up higher in the sky, casting warm beams of light overhead. Taking his hand, though it was hardly necessary, she stepped out of the care and looked around as he shut the door behind her. A breeze had picked up as they arrived, carrying with it the sweet scent of herbs and soft earth from the forest, the light sound of water churning not to far away from where they stood. She paused as she relaxed, taking in the sounds of the nature around her. Since she was very small, she had always loved being surrounded by the forest, it always gave her a calm and peaceful feeling whenever she was sad or angry.

Haru runs through the forest, finally able to escape his grandmother's grasp and get out. he avoided the town, for no particular reason...then a fall appears, he runs ahead not thinking following the sound of the water, then "Yahoo!" he screams as he leaps from the top of the falls falling into the pool below...

Soka jumped and tripping, she stumbled back into Kouken rather clumsily. What the he-! she blurted out before catching herself and pulled her hands over her mouth, she may have looked it but she was never one to speak so freely.

[[Umm . . . the falls are no where near the street . . . and they are hidden in the forest, so . . . no guardrails. >_< Sorry, but it looks like we will kind of have to leave the area . . . >_< Its not you or anything, absolutions are not something that you really want people to watch you doing. >_<]]
Kouken grabbed Soka's hand and stepped in front of her, relaxing when he saw it was just a boy from the town. He turned to his sister. "Well, Soka-chan. Looks like we will have to move to another spot." He frowned. "I'm sorry, I know how much you love the falls."

Haru looked up at the sound of peoples voices, they could barely be heard over the roaring of the falls "Hey!" he waved at them he had yet to meet any people from town. They seemed nice, maybe.

Soka frowned, I did really want to go to the falls. Such a disappointment, she sighed. The falls were her favorite spot in the entire forest to be and having to leave pained her greatly. She was soon drawn from this as she looked at the boy in the falls. Onni-san, who is that boy? she asked as she looked over his shoulder. He was not familiar to her.

Haru looked oddly up at the pair, when a chill wind gusted through teh pond, he looked up at the darkening sky and crawled out of the pool "Uh..See Ya!" he called he couldn't head home in the rain, so he began to race through the trees toward teh teashop.

Kouken looked oddly at the boy watching him run off. "I don't recognize him," He said to Soka. "A little strange though. But I guess this means that we can stay after all, Soka-chan."
He led her over to the falls and then turned back to her. "OK, You go ahead and I'll keep a look out." He held a towel in one arm and found a dry rock to lay it on. "Don't worry, I won't look." He said, smiling playfully. He said that every time he had taken watch at her absolutions, a silly joke.

Soka smiled as she was able to stay at the falls. As he layed out her towel and turned, she chuckled. Oh course, my loyal body guard. Grinning at him, she turned and walked down the edge of the water. The falls fell from a tall, earthen cliff and jetted into a good sized pool of crystal water. Eyeing the tall water fall for a moment, she pulled of her priestess attire and took special care to set them upon the dry rock next to her towel to keep them dry. Shivering, she waded hip deep into the cool water and proceeded to the fall. Ducking under the water, she resurfaced under the cascading pillar of water and remain there for a few moments allowing the water to fall over her body, cleansing her.

Kouken was tempted to turn and make sure that she was ok. But he stayed his guard watching the outer banks. He remembered that she had slipped under once and almost drowned as the water churned her around, but he shook the thoughts away, she had only been 7 or 8 at that time. She was quite a bit more steady on her feet these days.
He waited there as she did her ceremony of prayer under the waters.

She ducted below the waters again and remained there for a great many seconds before resurfacing near the bank. Tilting her head, she rang her hair out and stepped onto the bank. The air was rather warm and she didn't shiver like she had last time she had come to the falls. Picking up the towel, she slowly dried herself, allowing her hair to air dry as she redressed herself.

Kouken waited until he thought she had finished dressing before turning around again. He looked at the sky, even though it looked like it was going to rain, it was still warm outside.
"So, you ready to go then?" He looked back at his sis and smiled. "We should get there before all of the farmers start getting restless. We still have to do a little bit of preparations there as well."
He smirked and walked over, drying her hair a little for her why she adjusted some of her clothes, as he usually did after absolutions.

She chuckled as he helped dry her hair. Thats true, just hold on one mo-ment, she said, focusing on tying of the strings on her priestess top. Finally fixing them to satisfaction, she combed her almost dry hair through her fingers and shook it out. It felt cool against her scalp after soaking in the cooling water of the falls. Shall we? she said with a smile as playfully stretched out her hand toward the edge of the forest were the car waited.
