Zuberi was lounging in a field starting up at the stars, it was one of his favorite pass times, being awake at night left him with little to study but the stars. It was an interesting pack he belonged to he was rarely up during the day, it was too hot during the day for his pack to be out and about. Therefor the only time he had been out during the day was when he could sneak out before his mom got up, and without her hearing, it was a rare event.

As Zuberi was looking up at the stars he heard the grass rustling behind him. He knew someone was around but that didn't bother him, he hadn't ever met anyone that caused him problem, and as a result didn't know enough to be afraid of outsiders. He had grown up in a pack where he was protected and shield for knowing anything all that bad. It was allowed to live a very peaceful childhood.

He heard the grass move again, who ever was there was getting closer. Zuberi flipped onto his stomach to peer between blades of long grass to see if he could catch a glimpse of who was coming closer. He wasn't sure they were aware of his presence, he guessed he would find out sooner or later.

Janja gave a small yawn. Lately, she hadn't been up so late, so being up at this time was a feat for her. She trotted along her path carefully, her tail wagging slightly. Despite her tired state, she was rather happy. The moon was bright and the stars winked at her prettily. She rather liked the night, but lately, she hadn't any time or energy.

Her brown paws pushed through the blades of grass easily, years of travelling alone had helped her with that. Obstacles, she could pass with ease, being trained by the harsh world of loneliness to be alone.

The fox-like dog paused in her walking to scent the air- her nose low to the ground. She wondered - was she in pack territory?

Zuberi wagged his tail he was very excited it was another dog that was about to stumble upon him. He liked when he was outside the packs borders, he got to meet some new! He could see her approaching, she was an adult he hoped that she would like to spend time with him, he understood why some adults wouldn't like to hang around with kids.

She was getting close to him, he decided to make his pretense known by standing up in the grass, so he was no longer hidden. "Hi, there. I am Zuberi, or Strongear... depending on how who you ask." He smiled up at here, tail wagging he wanted her to know he was friendly.

Janja was slightly surprised by the small pup, though dark in color, she hadn't seen him. Though, he blended in well with the near by ack territory - he was a part of this pack, she could tell by his scent.

With a small mile she trained her brown eyes on the pup. "Hello, I'm called Janja, young pup," She stated. She called all young animals 'young pup'. It was simply in her nature. "You're out late," She commented, almost to herself.

Zuberi looked up at the sky, thinking about the time of night it was. To him all things were backwards, as his was a nocturnal pack, night was day and day was night, "It isn't late for me it's actually early" he said to Janja smiling. He wondered if she would understand what he meant. Deciding not to wait he went on to explain "The pack I live in is nocturnal we are all up at night and sleep during the day."

"Are you from around here?' Zuberi asked, he did recognize this dogs sent, but it was possible he just hadn't passed her before.

Janja tilted her head a bit, but it did make sense. She, herself, was rather nocturnal, but she had a strange sleeping schedule anyhow. "I see," She commented.

"What is your pack, pup?"

She was faintly curious. She normally didn't come across packs or pride - not straying too far from her den and small watering hole.

"I am from the Peke Na Pack" Zuberi announced proudly. He quite loved his pack and boasted about it all the time. "It's a very friendly pack, lots of dogs are their, and everyone treats everyone else like family, we take care of each other." He smiled up at Janja.

"Have you ever lived in a pack?" Zuberi asked her. Zuberi didn't know many others outside of the pack and he quite enjoyed hearing about life as it was outside of a pack, they lived in a whole different world in his eyes.

Janja gace a small nod to the smaller dog. She had never heard of the Peke Na Pack - but then, she hadn't know of many things. "Sounds like a very good pack," the older dog commented. Her tail wagged slightly at the pup's love and enthusiasum for his pack.

"I've lived in a pack, once, when I was a pup. I fear it was not as tight knit as yours sounds though." Janja admitted lightly. It was the pack she was banished from, being only old enough to eat meat, but not to hunt. Her eyes glazed over as she thought about it, but with an ubrupt shake of her head, she drew her attention back to the pup.

"I'm sorry your pack didn't care of" Zuberi said sincerely to the older dog. He didn't overly understand pain of suffering as he had lived a fairly care free life, taken care of. He was slightly confused, this dog was so nice and yet, even with her sad past.

"Well if you ever want a pack to live in that would treat you like family, mine is very friendly and they welcome everyone. Do you have a family already?" Zuberi could understand if she had a family around why she wasn't in a pack. Other then for family Zuberi often had trouble understanding why someone would choose to live on their own.

Janja gave a nod. "I do have a family, though it is quite a small one. It shall hopefully grow soon," she agreed. Her family was small, dysfunctional. A strange mate and a troubled pup that came from a pack similar to her own.

Her family, though, was a reason she didn't have a pack, along with her past. It had not been too long ago, for she had just reached adulthood. However, the pack this mere pup presented was rather appealing, though family came first. Janja never came upon a whim.

"Were you born into this pack, pup... er... Zuberi?" Old habits did die hard

Zuberi smiled, "I was born into my pack, my mom joined it while she was pregnant. She was all on her own and I guess she wanted to find a family. She was in a pack when she was young, but it disbanded. When she got pregnant with me and my siblings and my father was gone, she found us a home where we could all be safe."

Zuberi respected his mother greatly for what she had done for him and his siblings. She found him a place where they could all be safe and she would be able to provide for them better. He assumed it was great for her, she could go out and hunt for her family and the pack, and know that her children was being watched over back at home. It would have been hard for her if she had done it all on her own.

"Your family might be growing?" Zuberi asked the older dog, eying her body carefully. He had seen pregnant dogs around the pack, but this dog didn't look pregnant to him.

One of Janja's ear's flicked in faint amusement. This pup knew his stuff, even if it was personal. She pondered for a moment if he should be telling her this stuff. "Sounds nice," She stated instead, with a soft tone. Almost... lofty?

"Might be... Maybe someday," she said in response to the pup's question. She hoped one day she would be impregnated by Adeto. She didn't even know if he'd be adverse to pup's yet. She gave a small sigh. "I'm not pregnant though," She said as she watched the pup eye her up. It made her chuckle lightly.

"My family and my pack is nice." he answered smiling. "I can't imagine life without them." Zuberi was rather niavee when it came to live in general all he knew was the pack life, and their he had had it rather easy, he never had a worry in his life.

When the dog told him that she wasn't pregnant he blushed, apparently he wasn't as sneaky as he thought. "Oh, I just I uh wasn't sure what you meant by your family would be growing." he stammered. He felt kind of silly now. "Well if you have pup's you will be very lucky, I see other couples around the pack lands they always seem very happy when they are about to have pups, and afterward there is new little pups I can play with." he smiled he had a habit of putting things in his mind so that they benefited him.

Janja gave a small amused snort. "I figure I shall be happy, carrying pups. I'm just worried about being a good mother," She responded, thinking back to her sole pup that she adopted. That girl would make it far in this world, and she hoped that the guidence she provided was good enough.

"I'm glad you feel so close to your pack though. A pack can be a good thing..." or your downfall. She didn't know how many left her old pack or joined it, but she didn't care. It was past. She was just glad she came from it mostly unscathed and still with a good spirit.

Zuberi smiled at the older dog, "Yes my pack is a good thing, that is where my family is and my friend." By friend Zuberi was taking about his... well his girlfriend for lack any better term. He was still kind of young for that kind of relationship but he knew they had a special bond. He smiled while his thoughts lingered on Twana.

Worried that he might be making the other dog feel sad about not being in a pack.... he wasn't able to think that perhaps there was more to life at that point in time. "But you know packs aren't everything as long as you have your family." he said in a quite voice, hoping that he had been convincing.
