Rei laid, sprawled on his back, completely bewildered. Whuh...? Where is this...? He arched his neck upwards, glancing at the new location.
Before him laid a dome of pure darkness. The 'ceiling,' if it could be called such, looked like a slowly rippling puddle, the ripples making their way to the floor, and then disappearing. The ripples made an eerie, low pulsating sound, like the beat of a heart.
The floor, a flat surface, was transparent. The ripples from the ceiling flowed into the center, disappearing at a figure in the distance.
...evil, dark looking place, with a figure in the distance. Looks bad. Rei gripped the nearby tome, pulling it close to himself. And this thing... I don't even know what it does. But, that note did say to defend myself, so this seems like a great way to see what I can do...
Rei took a deep breath, letting magickal energies flow into the tome. The entire book glowed a faint purple. Okay. Manipulation. So... Rei concentrated his thoughts on the book, followed by a sickening squish and slithery sounds. Dark tendrils rose out of the ripples, pulling the Druid up to his feet.
"Oh, cool." He said to himself, amazed at what he pulled off. "Now, then. Who are you, and how did I get here?"

"My name is none of your concern child," The woman answered, "Though I can tell you that I pulled you in here." She made her sword appear in her left hand.
"Now I will do what my master has told me to do." She charged with the speed of the swordmasters to Rei. (cause that's her class) smile

Reptilian, enigmatic, and creepy, eh? Rei gripped the new tome, prepared for a long, drawn out speech. Her rush towards him, though, was unpredicted. Aw, crap! She's fast! He took a hop away, walking backwards to keep distance.
"Oh, man. I could surely use some protection, now.... I wish I had a sword or something..." The tome pulsated with energy again. Wait, what? This thing can help? ...okay, then... Rei took the tome into his hands, and opened it to the middle. Magickal energies poured into it, turning the pages.
"Forces of Darkness, grant me thine aid! Erebus!"
More bonecracking sounds echoed through the dome as tendrils speared through the 'ground,' intertwining themselves to create a wall separating the two.
...that's some nice defense. Rei chuckled at the tome's power, taking a combat stance while he waited for the creature to pass the wall. All the while, the tome continued pulsating along with the tendrils, making an opposite 'heartbeat' to the ripples on the walls.
(( Yes, Rei uses Spellcasting methods like in the Tales of Series. X3 ))

The woman passed through the wall with some effort. "Nice try." She had a smirk on her face. "Now!" She cut her self with her sword before she took 3 swipes at Rei in the form of an A. Why an a? That would be determined if she hit him or not.

Rei took a step back at the creature's minimal effort at passing the wall. What IS this thing? Rei's musings were cut short as the sword strokes began. The horizontal one came just short, the wind moving his clothes. The first vertical was barely sidestepped. The second, however, left a small cut on Rei's right arm. Rei winced as he stepped back farther, and watched the bloody tip of the blade return to the thing's side.
Huh. That sword... Rei focused his thoughts on it, and tendrils grabbed the blade, trying to wrestle it from the creature's hand.

She let go of her sword. She felt she didn't need it anymore. She charged at Rei once more. She was going to make sure that the shaman felt her wrath. She jumped and kick him with one of her clawed feet.

Rei was pushed back a few feet by the creature's kick. The force of it almost knocked him over, but he managed to regain his footing. Rgh, I can't take much more of this. Rei glanced at the wound, wondering why the creature decided to just ditch her sword. But, returning his attention to the event at hand, he channeled the book again. This time, the floor right under the creature rippled, and a deafening crack shook the room. A tendril, rigid as a spear, had shot from the ground directly under, and into, the creature.

The woman didn't see the tendril come out of the ground, she had no time to prepare herself to pass through it. So when it came up the woman tried to step back, but she wasn't fast enough to prevent the tendril from going through her right leg.
"DAMN IT!" She yelled. Her leg was dripping with her blood. She also knew that her mobility was cut now. She got herself into a position to where she could get herself free. She had to pull her leg out with a good amount of effort.
"Damn this hurts." She said. She tried to stay standing, but due to the fact that some tendons on her leg was cut she couldn't stay standing. She fell to one knee. The blood was still flowing out of her.
"I'm in a tight spot now." She thought. "I just hope I did what I needed too."

Rei took a sigh of relief. he'd gotten the enemy in quite the tight spot, with nothing but a small scratch on his part. But, his legs began to wobble just a bit, as the tendrils started to return to the earth, save the few closest to the creature.
"Now." Another spear-like tendril shot from the ground, stopping just short of the creature's throat. "Answer my questions. Who are you, and why did you attack me?" Rei glared at the assailant, preparing to end it at a moment's notice. "Hurry up, I'm waiting."

"Guess I should tell you SOMETHING." She said with a sigh. "I'm Asami Meiuqer. As for why I attacked you? You going to find out REALLY soon." She formed a smile on her face.

Rei's eyes widened at Asami's remark. He took the tome back in his hand, preparing another spell. "What're you planning?!?" He shouted, causing the spear under her neck to go just far enough to make a pinprick. "You're going to tell me." He took a deep breath. "NOW!" More spikes shot from the ground, driving the tips up into Asami's other leg, and both hands. "Tick tock, lizard."

"AH!!!" Asami yelled in pain. She then struggled to look at Rei. When she got her self able to look at him, she had a smile form on her face though she was in alot of pain and more blood was flowing out of her.
"Looks like it's already starting to work." She stated.

"...Poison, eh?" Rei took a step back, a hint of worry in his voice. "That explains the shaky legs." He wrapped a tendril around Asami's neck, putting about as much pressure as a loaf of bread on her throat. "Send me back. Now. I'll kill you another time."

"Gladly." She spat out. She passes though the tendril, grabs Rei's arm and jumps the best she can. Once high enough she throws Rei out of the shadows and back to where he was.
"Too bad I didn't really poison you, child." She said to herself as she fell. "You'll find out what I did in time." She hit the ground with a thud.
"Time to rest Asami." She closed her eyes. "You did your job."
