 While browsing through some old books in a dusty forgotten corner of a library you come come across what appears to be a journal, covered in a faded dark green leather, inlaid with silver and gems.
Gently brushing your fingers over the faded leather, your fingers encounter raised letting. You lift the book to gently blow off the dust and read the words:
"Milady's Menagerie- An in-depth History"
Intrigued you open the cover and begin to read the faded elegant script. The first chapter contains a fanciful story about a magical race of foxes that emerged from small brightly glowing baubles!
Chuckling to yourself you continue, and find the subsequent chapters an in-depth journal of one Lady Emerald and her Illumens.

Welcome to my journal! I hope that the information you find within these pages is not only factual and enlightening, but also amusing. Life can get so terribly dull without to comfort of a good book.
I have done my utmost to recount the exploits of my pretty pets to the best of my ability. Often they have dictated to me in their own colorful words what they wish recorded. In other instances I have included my own insights and opinions in the hopes of providing further understanding.
Furthermore, thought these pages you will find lovingly rendered Illuminations of the wondrous creatures. The artists worked hard to create these, please don't take them to use as your own. Below each rendering is the name of the artist who painted it.
