It was late and Siti found that she couldn't sleep. Her cubs had grown so much and me nearly the size of Korrin. She had a lot on her mind and she thought of two in particular most of. First there was Mito, her cubs father, she felt that he should know them. So she knew in her heart the time was nearing for her to head out to seek him. It would be a grand introduction and a short stay. She knew she did not wish to leave her pride for good. She and her cubs were peaceful and happy in Simbafutaji. Next there was Jasiri'ka or Ja'ka as she'd taken to calling him lately. The thought of her made her cheek warm and her hear race. She was excited whenever she got to see him and she could see her little Lila was growing rather attached.
The orange male had never felt this nervous for a long time, not since he heard the loud "Bang" outside his den as a cub on the day he lost his mother and had to spend his first night alone. However, he was scared back then. Today was vastly different - this nervousness had both joy and excitement mixed into it, something that made Jasiri'ka smile to himself. He subtly lifted his head to sniff the air, his smile widening as he closed in on the scent of Siti and her family, a blush creeping up his cheeks. Increasing his pace, the lion found himself at the entrance to Siti's den soon after, standing there, almost too nervous to enter. Clearing his throat, he stepped forward, "Siti?"
Siti looked up recognizing the scent immediately; it was Ja'ka. "Yes Ja'ka, I am awake." Siti rose from where she lay near her children and made her way to the entrance of her den. "What keep you awake do late at night? Can't sleep either?" Siti thought a marvel that Ja'ka seemed to show up just as she was thinking of him. She wondered what it was that he wanted, she hoped nothing bad had happened.
"Well," Jasiri'ka found himself averting her glaze at first, afraid that he would be unable to form a coherant sentance if he didn't do so; his eyes darted from the ground to behind Siti before finally stopping at the night sky, now filled with stars. As an idea formed in his head, he found himself looking into the den, his tail swinging gently from side to side as he smiled, "I was just thinking... Urm... If you can leave the den for just a moment, care to have a chat while star-glazing?" He finished lamely, unable to think of a better reason. Then, he looked down from staring at the sky, and smiled at Siti instead.
Siti smiled at Ja'ka shyness and stepped out of the den closer to the male. "I would love to go star gazing with you." She looked back into the den to make sure all her cubs were fast asleep and smiled knowing Korrin and Udo could handle anything, if one of them were to wake. She turned back to Ja'ka her heart racing, but her body language calm. "Shall we," she asked motioning for Jasiri to lead the way.
Jasiri'ka grinned, unable to hide his happiness at Siti accepting his invitation; he nodded, remembering a small hill a short distance away, perfect for star glazing and some time alone. He started walking, gesturing for the lioness to follow as he tried to keep calm, although the smile never vanished from his lips. Turning to face Siti, he tilted his head a little to the side as he kept moving, "Earlier, you asked if I couldn't sleep 'either'... Were you troubled and kept awake?" He decided to keep talking; at least that will help to lessen his nervousness.
Siti followed Jasiri, happy to have his company, especially while her mind was so full. She almost did not hear the question she asked and blinked a few times before she realized what he had said. "Yes, I have had a lot on my mind and I have come to the conclusion to that my family and I may have to go on a journey. I wish for them to meet some important friends of mine." Siti did not mention the other reason she was kept awake, not knowing how the new would be accepted. She did not even know how or really when she'd fallen in love with Jasiri, but she knew she was.
"A... Journey?" He found himself echoing her words, blinking several times before the meaning of the words made his eyes widen. He swallowed a lump that formed in his throat; for a moment, he didn't know how to reply. Although it was only a journey, and she will be back after, he wondered how long it'll take for her to return... It was then he realized that they had already reached the hill he was thinking of; he forced a smile at Siti and begun the climb up; however, his thoughts were focused on the 'journey' that was mentioned. He frowned, pushing it to the back of his head - no, there were more important things to say to her... He relaxed as they neared the "peak" of the hill; it almost feels like they were being enveloped by stars. He sat down on his haunches as he turned to look at the lioness before looking up at the sky, his heart beating faster and faster as he took a deep and sharp breath, "Its beautiful."
The setting was just right...

Siti nodded when Jasiri echoed her words. She felt slightly guilty for telling him like that, but she did not know how else to say it. She pondered whether she would tell him she'd also been think a lot about him but before she could really contemplate the though they'd reached the hill and Siti gasped in amazement. The sky was filled with star and it was very beautiful out. The moon a small crescent with star twinkling around it. "Yes, it is. It is very beautiful." Siti turned to Ja'ka and gave him a affectionate nuzzle. "Thank you for showing me this," she said before turning back to enjoy the view.
He froze at the nuzzle, a shiver running down his spine as he let out a soft 'You're welcome' in reply; his face was burning despite the cool night air and he smiled, almost embarrassedly as he stared at the grass beneath his feet. Then, he looked back up at the stars, "Hey, Siti... There is something I've been wanting to tell you..." He looked at her and stared into his eyes, determined not to become disoriented; his expression softened and he smiled, "When I first met you, I was already attracted to your personality... A little playful, but kind. The times we met after that, I thought you were special... At first I thought nothing of it, but after that day, playing at the beach with Lila and you... Well, I..." He paused as his voice became a tad softer, "I realized that I'm in love with you."
He let out a breathe he didn't realize he was holding, and continued, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, if you'll allow me to."
Siti turned to looked at Ja'ka when he addressed her. Her heart beat quickened when he said he wanted to tell her something. She smiled softly looking into the eyes of them male she loved. She sat there quietly listening to his explanation and was shocked to hear that he was in love with her. She had not expected it and the surprise showed in her eyes. His next statement made her extremely happy, knowing she would not lose Ja'ka. Siti expression soften even more and she moved forward nuzzling her love and making no attempt to move away. "Oh Ja'ka, that is the most wonderful thing anyone has ever said to me. I love you too Ja'ka. I want to spend everyday with you."
"Rea- Really?" Jasiri'ka found himself blurting out, almost childishly when he heard her answer. Then, he broke into a bright smile at the nuzzle; closing his eyes, he returned her nuzzles happily, still blushing. She had agreed... Agreed to spend her life with him, by his side. His smile widened, feeling both relieved and happy at the same time; it was like a huge boulder on his heart had been lifted - he wouldn't want to spend his life with anyone else! Siti is all he'll ever need, he thought to himself as he smiled again, "Your journey... How about letting me go with you?"
Siti was content to stay where she was, "Yes, really," she said giggling slightly. She was just bursting with joy and never thought she would be this happy, nor did she think she would have such a large wonderful family. His mention of the journey drew her out of her thoughts. She'd completely forgotten about it in her bliss. She nodded vigourously, "Yes of course, we wouldn't have it any other way." Her journey seemed like a much less dim thought knowing Ja'ka would be with them. Siti grinned feeling playing and before she knew it she made to pounce on Jasiri.
"I'm glad..." His voice trailed off as he batted gently at Siti with his paw, chuckling as he nuzzled her, pushing her back a little. It sort of reminded him of the first time they met, and he smiled to himself. Lying on his back, he stared at the sky before turning to Siti. Giving a playful nudge using his paw, the lion chuckled, "So... What is this journey about? You seem pretty worried about it."
Siti gave into the gentle play fight and grinned looking down at Ja'ka who lay on his back. He nudged her and she nudged back lightly before lying down beside him. "I am excited to see my old friend and introduce them to my family, but I will see introducing the cubs to Mito, their sire, and I was just worried to how they will recieve him. Lila is rather attached to you and I was worried about that for a moment, fore I am sure she will have no other as her papa. You seem to have really charmed her. I am less worried now because you are going. I feel less like I am taking them out of their comfort zone." Siti smiled and rose, she was becoming sleepy now. Yawning slightly she said, "lets not worry about the journey then. I am feeling tired now. Let go home."
"I see..." He simply replied with a small smile as he nodded at her suggestion; he was glad he could be of help to her and her family - no, it was their family now. He was getting fairly tired too, and the cubs need to know... Maybe when its morning. He chuckled, rolling over before climbing up, "Yes, lets head home."
