Tinania sat out in front of her home, watching three children play around the pond. It was a month, yet she was trying to stop her mind from thinking back to the promise. She trusted Zhane, and she knew he would come back to her. She could feel it in her soul, that he would be back.
Brushing at her jean skirt, she tilts her head back as she enjoys the sun against her skin. Being a rather warm day, she decided a spaghetti strap in pink would do fine. As she kicks her feet alittle in the water of the pond, she chuckles at the three kids.
Seiji, who recently grew on her was tossing his cousin Nirendra into the water. Then he would pick Lexi up, and do the same to her. All three kids swam in the water, picking on each other.
Looking away, Tinania closes her eyes as she brought her fingers up to her heart necklace. With a low sigh, she chews on her bottom lip for a moment.

He had felt better than he had in a long time. Long-nagging questions were answered, and the grudge between him and his father was, if not buried, at least mostly beneath the dirt. Which left one last, very important, thing left to seal.
Zhane wasn't sure what state he would find Nani in after having not seen her in the last span of weeks, or if he would find her there at all. He had come prepared in either instance, hoping to greet her, but prepared to leave a flower and a note letting her know he'd arrived home safely should she not be there.
As he walked the cobbled path of Moon Haven, his mind touched and held on the last time he'd been here. The way they'd held one another, on the verge of tears, the way she'd asked him not to go...
A pang of guilt washed over him, making him wonder for the first time since he'd left if he'd really done the right thing, leaving her the way he had to wonder whether he'd be coming back or not...especially when it had been an issue for her in the past.
The sound of splashing and laughing children caught his attention, making him stop a moment to keen his fins. He recognized the impish little voices as Seiji and Ren's, making him smile a bit, heading in their direction. Where they were, Tinania likely was. Or if not, he'd be just as happy to at least say hello to them. He'd missed the children as well. And maybe Rose or Kayla could let him know when Nani might return.

Crawling out of the water, Seiji shakes his hair as he lays out on the ground. laughing a few times, he grunts as Nirendra sits down on his stomach "Alright Ren, in a moment." he opens his eyes only to arch a brow as he sees Ren looking beyond him. Shaking his head, he looks back at the young girl "What did you see Ren?"
Sellexi who had just resurface the water, moves towards the other two. Floating in the water, she falls quiet as she watches the two dragons. her eyes mostly focused on Nirendra.
Nirendra however doesn't move a muscle, her body is tense as her eyes change colors. Almost making it look as if she was blind. Blinking, a huge smile forms on her lips as she looks down at Seiji.
Tinania eyes open slowly, looking towards the little kids for a moment "Is everything okay you three?" standing slowly, she brushes off her skirt as she moves towards them. Her eyes following the direction that her niece had been looking.

Following the noise had led him beyond a few buildings, finally bringing its source into view. Where there had, a moment ago been laughter and splashing, there was now silence, as he was met by several pairs of eyes looking in his direction.
The young man paused mid-step, uncertain for a moment. Were they angry? Upset...?
Apprehension faltered, however, seeing Nani and the kids all in one place, and a moment later, dissipated entirely as he started toward them again, his step quicker, grinning foolishly, and not caring. He'd missed them so much...!

Tinania found she couldn't speak, all she could do is stare at Zhane. Was she dreaming, or was he really walking toward her? And why did he look like he changed? She felt the excitement rise in her as she takes a few steps forward "Zhane? Please tell me I am not dreaming, that you are actually real." taking another step forward, she pauses as she hears the squeal behind her.
Both the little girls were happy to see Zhane, more so Sellexi. Splashing the water, she giggles up at Seiji and Nirendra. Both the dragons didn't move, as they knew it would be their time soon.
Looking back at Zhane, Tinania shakes her head before she actually moves alittle quicker towards Zhane.

If it -was- a dream, it was an impossibly tangible one. He met Nani halfway, arms sweeping her to him and holding her tightly. Everything was just as he'd left it....with a few minor differences on his own part.
His eyes closed as he brushed a kiss over her forehead, his hold on her not abating. "God, I missed you...." he whispered, his voice betraying the roil of emotion he felt as it quivered a bit. It was a strange feeling....like he wanted to laugh and cry all at once and never stop.

Wrapping her arms around his waist, Tinania buries her face into his chest as she trembles "You really are here, Zhane." looking up, she doesn't cry at all, instead she was smiling as she leans up and captures his lips with her own. No talking, she just had to know that this was real. Slipping her hand up, she wraps it around his neck as she forgets everything around her.
Seiji blinks has he sits up slowly, Nirendra giggling in his lap as she claps her hands. Next to think. Sellexi makes a few small sounds as she too starts to giggle.

He didn't protest, and surrendered himself fully to the kiss, a palm reaching up to place itself on her cheek. He felt, right then, that if there was a moment he could live in for the rest of his life, it would be this one.
When, at last, the kiss broke, green eyes met hers, a bit deeper in color and a bit wiser than they'd been when they had last looked upon her. The smile was still present, though now more at-peace. He was quiet a moment, letting himself stay lost in her as the hand on her cheek strayed to stroke through her hair.
At length he gave a chuckle. "You would not -believe- the month I've had." he told her, even as he looked past Nani to the children, finding himself a bit startled as he laid eyes on Seiji....who was now decidedly much larger than he remembered him.
It seemed they would -both- have stories to tell...

Tinania couldn't help but chuckle herself as she turns away from Zhane. Looking over at her son, she nods towards him "Yea, well it seems a few things have changed here also." looking back at Zhane, she steps away from him before she holds her hand out towards him "Why don't we go say hello to the kids. I'm sure they would be thrilled to see you."
Nirendra was the first child to move, in fact she was the only one to move. Slipping off of Seiji's stomach, she runs towards Zhane and Tinania with her arms out in front of her.
Seiji however remains where he is seated, his golden eyes locked on Zhane as he frowns alittle. Tilting his head tot he side, he brushes off his swim trunks as he stands. Leaning down, he picks Sellexi up out of the water before moving slowly towards his mother and Zhane.

Of the three, he was surprised to see Ren making the first move, considering the shy little thing she'd been when he'd left. But nonetheless, he dropped to one knee to meet her, giving her a hug when she was within reach.
"Hey, you!" he grinned "You been behaving for your aunt?" It was not lost on him the way Seiji and Sellexi yet seemed hesitant, but for the sake of keeping it a happy reunion, tried not to let it show. He didn't think the runes were -that- offputting...
...but then sometimes kids could be funny if everything wasn't just right. He imagined he might have been the same.
"Hi Seiji!" he greeted him warmly.

Tinania smiles as she watches her niece wraps her arms around Zhane's neck. The little dragon giggles with delight as she attempts to give Zhane kisses, but instead she was only pressing her face against his cheek. Looking away, Tinania arches her brow as Seiji and Sellexi finally reach them. She was expecting them to be the first ones.
Placing her hand on hand on Seiji's shoulder, Tinania chuckles "As you can see, my little boy grew up while you were away. He been helping his mother take care of these two little girls."
Seiji doesn't say anything at first, his eyes seem to hold so many question. None that the little dragon had the courage enough to ask as of yet. With a small nod he gives a small smile to Zhane "Hello Zhane, welcome back."
Sellexi kept quiet however, until she was able to get close to Zhane to have a good look at him. As her eyes grow owl like, she reaches out towards Zhane. It took getting closer to him, to realize that she knew him.

He gave a chuckle as Nani spoke. "I can see that." he said, getting a better look at the dragon child up close. "I almost didn't recognize him, he's so grown up." His smile didn't waver, even as he noticed the turbulence in Seiji's eyes. He wished he knew what he was thinking.
"Thanks." he said, addressing Seiji properly now. "Sounds like your mom really appreciates all the hel--uff!" he was cut off as he suddenly had an armload of merchild as Sellexi didn't so much climb into his arms, but launched into them.
His hearing was filled with the jangle of childish giggles between Sellexi and Ren, his hair was pulled by tiny fingers, but he didn't care. It was good to be home.

Tinania took a couple steps back as she laughs. With her hands on her hips, she shakes her head alittle "Seems I will have to share you for alittle." placing her hand on Seiji's shoulder, she frowns as he shrugs away.
Shaking his head, Seiji turns towards his mother "May I go inside? lexi and Ren need to eat lunch soon." before Tinania really had a chance to speak, the blue dragon was already inside the house.
Nirendra pauses as she looks up towards the door then a rather startled aunt. Looking back at Zhane, she quickly pulls away from him.

Zhane blinked, letting Ren go as she pulled away to trail after Seiji. Puzzlement was evident in his features, as well as maybe a slight undertone of hurt.
As the two children moved out of earshot, he readjusted his hold on Sellexi who, for the moment, seemed oblivious to the upset, continuing to cling fast to his neck.
"....what's that all about?" he asked Nani at last, quirking a brow.

Tinania shakes her head before she frowns "To be honest, I really do not know. He hasn't acted like this at all." her wings flutter before she looks towards Zhane. Lightly brushing a finger over his cheek, she shakes her head "Maybe he just wanted to get lunch ready."
Nirendra takes a seat on one of the steps by the door, her wings wrapped around her wings as she looks towards the adults. She wanted to go back and get hugs like Sellexi, but she didn't want to upset Seiji.
