The Rekiden residence is a large, very antique styled Japanese Villa.
There are many room, a beautiful garden, with a pond, and a little bridge, surrounded by cherry trees.

Kouken stepped out onto the back porch. He was looking for his sister. "Soka! Come on! Its time to go!"
She was due at the shrine shortly for a blessing ceremony. Spring had just started, and some of the farmers outside of town were coming for a blessing for a good harvest. She still had to preform absolution at the waterfall before the ceremony could begin. Any longer and they'd be late.
He sighed and looked at his watch. He shook his head and sat down on the porch. He had been designated as her guardian when he was 12. When she was 11, and had been chosen as the next priestess. He didn't resent it, in fact, he was glad that his precious sister was being protected by someone with her best interests in mind.

Light footfall sounded from the house as Soka stumbled outside, nearly tripping over her ceremonial robes as she rushed over to him. I’m here, I’m here! she said as she stepped up beside him quickly. Shaking her head, she pulled her hair up and tied it off with a thin colorful string which matched her robes, her blonde colored bangs falling around her face smoothly. I’m sorry Onii-san! she sighed as she stood up straight. I woke up late. It was not common for her to wake late, though this seemed to be that one day where she had too. Ready Onni-san, she said as she relaxed and her breathing slowed.

Kouken stood up and adjusted the ribbon, which she had tied on crooked in her rush. "I don't know why you put everything on already, did you forget about the absolution?" [[Absolution is where a shrine priest or priestess will bath in the mouth of a river, or under a waterfall to purify themselves.]]
He finished with the ribbon. "Come on, we have to get going or we'll be late. Do you want to go to the falls for this one?"

Soka sighed, Well I'm not carrying another set of clothing around so why not? It's comfortable anyway, she said as she hugged herself. And 'no' I haven't forgotten about the absolution. Do you think I'm stupid or something dear Onni-san? she asked as she tilted her head and looked at him, chuckling. Anyway yes, the falls are quite fine with me. As they walked, she stayed a pace behind him as she thought to herself. She looked up as one of her horses, Aki, nickered and paws the ground as Soka walked away. I'll be back later you silly girl, she giggled as she waved her hand to the mare. She just tossed her head and snorted as if to say, whatever.

Kouken gave her a little smile. "Well, come on then. We need to get moving."
He pulled the keys from his pocket, smiling as the horse responded to his sister, and led the way to his car.
He was proud of his Firebird. His parents had given it to him as a present for his last birthday, he learned how to work on cars, just so he could take care of it himself.
He opened the door on the passenger side and held it for Soka. He had modified it to a Japanese style set up himself, and it had taken him weeks.

Soka giggled as she turned around and approached the car. Oh it's very nice Onni-san! You spent so much time on it and it payed off didn't it, she smiled as she slid into the seat. She ran her fingers over the black seats and glanced toward the back seat, it was beautiful since her brother had worked on it.

Kouken smiled, happy to be getting the praise from Soka. "Arigatoo, Soka-Chan."
He closed the door and went around to the driver's side. He slid into the seat and started the car. He looked at her and smiled. "To the falls then!"

Lets go! she called happily as she waved one of her hand in the air, her decorative sleeve falling down around her arm. She had always loved going into the forest, exploring the like. She chuckled as she remembered wondering to the falls when she was small and Kouken had to go find her in case she had fallen into the river or something.
