Here's how this works... I'll give you some clues about a god/goddess and you have to guess which god I'm talking about! Of course, the first one will be rather easy, and then they'll get progressively harder as we go on.

The Rules
- Only one guess per person (you can only guess once per post, and someone else has to guess after you before you can guess again).
- If you've won twice in a row, then you must sit the next row out to give someone else a chance.
- No asking for clues.
- Have fun!

The first person to guess right will receive 200 gold. After someone guesses right, I'll give you new clues on a different god. We will continue doing this until the end of the party!

The first clue is: Tibet. God. The meditating Buddha.

After five incorrect guesses, I'll give one more clue. Then, after five more incorrect guesses, I'll give a third and final clue. After another five incorrect guesses, I'll give the answer and start a new round.

That's not the one I'm thinking of. Although, if you can find proof that the clue I gave also fits Osiris, I'll give it to you. smile

Okay, let me go look at something.

Edit: Well i do know that in one legend Osiris is the beginning of all the kings of Egypt and after he was murdered by Seth, it was decided that Seth and Horus would jointly rule. My other guess would be either Horus or Atum. There are so many gods that have the title of creator in the description, but I'll stick with Osiris. I'm trying to figure out how to put what he really was to the Egyptians. It's complicated in a way.

Edit: I guess I'd go with Osiris because he is such a mixture of things. He's the god of death and the Afterlife, but also is associated with rebirth and fertility. That is why I figured him.

I just came up with a second candidate: Ptah. Not sure if he's the one. I'm not that good with the Egyptian Gods and Goddess as I am with the Greek and Roman. I understand if you don't give it to me because I may be wrong on both. And this counts as two guesses but I had to find out for myself. I'll wait a bit before I answer another one to give others a chance.

I just changed one of the rules to make it more clear:

None of the ones you've mentioned are correct. I'd also like to note that 'the title of creator' was never mentioned.

The current clue is: Egypt. God. "Similar to Jupiter and Zeus."
Which means that he's the Egyptian equivalent to Jupiter and Zeus, not that he's exactly like them.

It's not Osiris, Horus, Atum, or Ptah.

I'm sorry that I posted twice. I'm still shaking cobwebs from my brain. Thank you for reading what I wrote though. I just can't find the god I'm looking for. You are really sweet though to have all these contests. I'll try to come back a lot more this month and check out all the things that are going on. Thank you for being patient with me. I'll remember to refrain myself in the future.

I'm going to go with Ra/Re.
From what I can remember of Egyptian mythology, Ra seemed more like the higher up of the rest of the gods/goddesses kind of like Zeus/Jupiter.

I'm going to say Nut... simply because Zeus and Jupiter are sky gods and Nut is a sky goddess...

"God of reproduction, fertility, generation, wind, air, prophecy, and agriculture."
ANSWER: Amen/Amoun/Amun/Amon/Ammon ('Ra' possibly at the end).

All prizes will be sent out at the end of the party. I'll post a new clue for the second round in the first post.

I think Hathor is the only Goddess associated with the moon in the Egyptian pantheon, but I could be wrong with that one. It's my guess at any rate. whee
