Janja trotted through the fog were she remembered the area where she met Adeto. She was happy. Adeto said he would teach her to fish. It would be fun. Janja raised her nose to the air and scented for him. She had memorized his scent. It was sweet and moist like air vapors, but a distinct scent of dog and other scents mixed it. There! She ran towards that area.
As always there seemed to be a fog over the lake. It was lighter this time but the wild dog still seemed to appear out of it. He was standing on a large rock and looking out over it. His eyes landed on the female running toward him and he stood firm. For a moment he looked like quiet a frightening eninity. His blue fur captured the shadows making him look dark and mencing while his eyes capturing the morning light were glowing a soft green. Upon seeing her the demenor breaks and his tail starts to wag. He lets out an excited bark and jumps off, rushing to greet her with a sniffs and friendly gentle lick to her face. "Ready to fish?"
Janja was beyond excited. Her tail was wagging rapidly and she gave him a quick lick as well. "I'm ready!" She told him in a firm excitement. Not only was she excited to learn to fish, she was looking forward to seeing Adeto agian. It was strange; she never felt that way before. She thought nothing of it for now though, as she shook it swiftly from her mind.
THe male didn't expect a lick back and his muzzle quickly stretched out into a grin. "Alright, let's get started." He turned around and trotted back to the water's edge. "Now, the first thing about fishing is that its not all that easy." He says dipping his nose down near the water and glancing back toward her. "Do you see that fish?"
Janja followed the blue and purple male to the side of the water and peered into it's depths. She watched the fish wriggle it's body as if forcing the water around it to move around it - like moving through shoots of grass. "I see it," she said, he breath only disturbing the water a little.
Adeto kept his muzzle close to hers, watching her with a smirk. She was certainly a beatiful wild dog for sure. He gives his attention back to the fish. "Now... to catch one you have to aim under it. The water makes it looks father then it is."
"Under?" She asked, not understanding, "Like, at its belly?" She question, raising her head up a bit as not to startle the fish with her breathing.
The male gave a rough chuckle. "Well sort of... See where he is?" He asked her directing her attention to the fish. "You aim down here." He drew his head back then lunged, a bit closer to himself then where the fish was and came up with it flopping in his mouth.
Janja watched with a strange sense of wonder. Fishing was... strange, she watched the wiggling fish struggling between Adeto's jawns and looked back at the water, her mind's eye remembering what the male had done to capture the fish. "Interesting..." She whispered to herself
He took his fish that he'd just caught and tossed it to the shore to wait for it to suficate. Then they could eat it. He trotted down a bit to find another one along the shore and waved her over with a jerk of his maw. "Alright, you try it. Don't worry if you can't do it right the first time. It takes lots of practice."
Janja trotted after him once he gestured her over. Her brown eyes peered into the water and her maw was close to the water. Hoping to get it, she moved her maw the same way Adeto had and plunged her head under. Quickly, she closed her jaw, snapping up simply water and dirt
He watched her tense , ready and gave a chuckle. She certainly was willing to learn. "Good job... you barely missed him." He encouraged, sitting down and splaying his long gangly legs. He found a bug and grabbed it in the very front of his teeth before letting it drop into the water. A few moments later another fish snapped it up and went into waiting near by. "Alright.. now this time, aim just under it. See where its shadow is in the water? Go for that."
Janja watched the bug being tossed into the water with interest. The fish took the bait. "That's effective," She commented casually, though blinking in a slight surprise. She lowered her head back over the water, with her nose aimed at the fish's shadow. Quickly, she plunged her head deep into the water and close her jaw, managing to grip the wiggly tail of the fish.
She pulled the wriggling creature out of the water, though it fought strongly, shifting it's body side to side with force, but Janja's teeth were in it strong.
"It does the job..." He replied trotting forward a bit, his tail high in the air. He watched, moving to stand on a large flat stone by the lake. "Good job!" He complimented. "Now toss it to the shore! That way it'll die." The sun was warm upon his blue back and felt good. "Then you can eat it."
Janja managed to toss the fish onto the shore, with a bit of difficulty. Her tail was wagging excitedly - she had caught her first fish! And on the second try! She didn't fool herself, though. If there were different types of try, there were diffrent types of fish - those that she wouldn't be able to take on alone.
However, the excitement was overwhelming.

Adeto was proud of her. He slid up to her a bit more closely then needed and pushed nose near her. "Now that you've got it on shore..." He whispered clamping his front teeth down on the belly and ripping. "You can eat it. Give it a try. The first fish you catch is always the best one." He gave her a smile and a wink before taking a small step out of the way.

Janja's tail was still swishing when she bit into the fish that was still flopping about. She didn't know if she should wait until it stopped... or?
Not that it really matter. She tore into the scales with force and ripped a chunk from it's side with an almost delicate ease. The fish flesh was soft, it was strange. After the scales were torn through, it was like biting water.
She blinked in suprise and gulped down the chunk in her mouth. He was right, it was delicious. She gave a small hum of contentment.

Adeto grinned wagging his tail in pleasure as he watched her go at it. From the look of it she liked him and that good enough to him. He laid himself out beside her and crawled near her kill.
He was kind and respectful while she ate but sniffed at the tail of it. He was hungry but he wasn't going to steal. "I... was wondering if you'd want to hunt with me... a real one."

Janja gave a light tilt to her head and smiled. "A real hunt?" She questioned for a moment, but then nodded. "Sure!" Her tail was still moving, but at a more sedate pace.

The male nodded his head. "Yes, a real hunt. Real game... Surviving off fish is hard." He responded then smiled at her. "Then.. perhaps before dawn one night? I would... enjoy it immensely." Maybe he could prove himself to her. He didn't know he didn't have to but he felt like he should. But he hadn't left this lake since he stumbled on it. Would it be safe to leave it alone?

Janja gave a small giggle. "Well hunt tonight then," she gave a smile. "Meet me at my den, alright?" She questioned. She was slightly tired - she would have to sleep first. Tackling her first fish was difficult. "Just call and I'll answer." She gave a wink and dashed away before he could answer - slightly embarrassed.
