Tulip is gonna rant about her mom again. Fun fun fun!

Okay, my mom loves to use the movie Chasing Amy as her sole basis of understanding lesbianism. I have yet to watch it but the way she treats me makes me not want to. Yesterday she started splurting out this crap about "Don't limit yourself to half the population" Now I'm thinking "What the ********!? You're straight! Straight ALSO applies to half the population!" She tells me to "keep an open mind"... well if I was straight she wouldn't be telling me to "keep an open mind about being gay". I AM SO TIRED OF IT!

Yeah, your mom really doesn't get the point of the movie. The movie also has a straight guy who falls in love with his male friend.

I think you should see the movie, it's actually very funny. All of Kevin Smith's movies are excellent.

My dad has the same problem. He claims to be open minded and understanding, but when someone close to him changes their beliefs (aka: Me) he goes spastic, and turns preachy.
