"Do you want to hold the leash, Varun?"

Varun eyed the offered leash, which was attached to that dog and scowled. "No," he sniffed, turning his head away as though insulted by the very idea. He would not like to be associated with that furbag and he would not especially like to be attached to it. He'd seen the way that thing dragged Kinsey all over creation.

Kinsey just rolled her eyes, leaning over to let Ford off. She had faith the German Shepard was well knew enough to come when called; they'd been working on his obedience for weeks! (It was a good thing she got that out of the way before Varun came home, imagine trying to teach them both at once?) Of course, no sooner had she said that than did Ford catch a scent, and just like that, the young dog was off as fast as his still-growing legs would take him.

"Ford!" Kinsey started after her dog, grabbing onto Varun out of instinct. "Ford, come back!"

Varun was not impressed.

The weather was getting warmer, nicer, a better time to take long walks.

Her mother had nudged Anita to go out again, just a gentle suggestion to give Tango a bit of exercise and herself, too. Without these nudges while living back at home, she tended to forget so she was grateful with them. Going back to living with a parent had caused her to go slightly more dependent than she had been while living alone with the dog in Durem.

Adventurous as ever, the Saarloos wolfhond shoved his face into whatever they passed, whether it was a patch of grass, a garden of flowers or even someone's foot, Tango was on the case to sniff out every smell and find where it was coming from. Their journey hadn't been very long and Anita had the leash wrapped around her arm several times, keeping the dog close but not at choking point, not allowing him to lead.

A new scent hit him and his nostrils flared, ears perching straight up and his head raised with intense attention. Seconds later, he was running and Anita was stumbling to keep up with him, "NO! Stop!" The nearest solid object she passed happened to be a light pole and Anita readied the crook of her arm, slamming it against the metal and wrapping herself around it, shoes planted firmly on the sidewalk. Tango came to an abrupt halt, yelping quietly but promptly returning to her side, ears docked and tail lowered.

She was going to get a bruise from this, it was obvious as the area inside her right arm was already reddening heavily, a drastic contrast against her pale complexion. Until the bruise formed, it would probably look like she had a rash of some kind. A sigh left her as she tested out what hurt the arm, bending and stretching, twisting. It just felt sore now but that would intensify later in the day or the next one. Sighing, she bent down to give Tango a reassuring peck on the head but was met by two faces.

Two dogs.

"...Made a friend?"

Ford began to wiggled at his new friend's human, smiling as he yapped once and presented himself to be petted. While he was supposed to be a police dog, the German Shepard didn't seem to grasp the part about being reserved. Kinsey hoped once they cracked down on the training, Ford would....get it a little bit more...well, more K9 cop-like.

Speaking of Kinsey.

The young woman continued to drag Varun in the direction she was sure she had seen her dog run. Fortunately, the pair didn't have far to travel; Kinsey spotted her dog just down the way...with another dog? Sighing and rubbing her face, she released her Raevan and started towards the woman who'd attracted Ford. "Come on, Vars."

"Varun. Let...." Varun waved in the general direction of the stranger. "Keep. Keep it."

Kinsey frowned, noting that Varun still refused to use Ford's name. "Come on," she insisted. "We have to go get my dog." Kinsey waved towards the stranger. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll be right there to get him!" she cried, trying to convince Varun to just come along.

The two dogs seemed to be getting on swimmingly, sniffing at each other, tails wagging and small yips of excitement sounding despite their nearly equal size. Once Anita got her hand in and was able to have the new dog sniff it and seem to accept her, she carefully attempted to pet his head and take hold of his collar while also shortening the lead on Tango's leash, keeping the both of them close.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll be right there to get him!"

Her attention shot up and she smiled slightly, nodding to the woman as she waved. She was certain if she had any dog other than Tango that was the same size or larger, a similar thing would happen, easily. Neither of them seemed particularly big in body type and both of the dogs were strong, however good natured. Flicking her head to move some hair out of her face, it was then that Anita noticed another presence nearby.

An extremely colorful presence, at that.

Squinting, she was able to tell that this was another male. Her second encounter with one, to be exact, and her fifth Raevan spotted. They seemed to be spreading, which made her stomach tingle sickly with excitement. Even just witnessing these creatures was amazing, in and off itself, so the more to be seen was a blessing. Sadly, her interaction with one had never been very prolonged so it was difficult for her to tell how they thought, functioned. Curiosity abound, Anita decided to close the distance and meet the woman and her companion half way, pulling both dogs along.

"He's a big one," she called to Kinsey before stopping in front of her, speaking in regards to Ford, "Haven't met many people around her with big dogs, too." The very idea made her smile. She always found larger breeds of dog to be the best; least annoying, most loving, the whole package.
