Physical Description:
A skinny lad, Demi is saved from scrawniness by being a little on the short side. For all that he lacks meat on his bones, he is decently proportioned, though his face is a little long with a set of high cheek bones that take away from his lovely almond shaped eyes. He doesn't particularly care about his looks though, and has to be constantly reminded by his foster mother to bathe and change his clothes. Blessedly, he does manage to get off his high horse long enough to listen to her when it comes to hygiene, and he also lets her cut his black hair down to a manageable length every dozen or so sevendays.
Personality:
'Smart' is one of the first things that comes to mind when someone thinks of Demitarnin. He's a squirrely little boy, and has been since he was in the womb, or so the saying goes in the Lower Caverns. His immaturity does occasionally get him into trouble, particularly when he fails to take into account how tenacious some of the Weyr bully boys can get. Despite his fire-quick temper, he does hold on to friendships, and he looks up to most adult dragonriders as men and women of integrity that stand for what they believe in. He values what few friends he manages to make, and cherishes the enemies he makes as well. Demitarnin thoroughly relishes a good challenge, and there are a few among the Lower Caverns that think his mind may have been put to better use as a smith. Time will likely temper his adolescent arrogance into something beneficial to the Weyr, but until then he continues to run amuck with his posse, Hallison and Lesifol.
History:
Demitarnin was born to a female greenrider and her bronzerider weyrmate. Both took a keen interest in his upbringing, but once it became apparent that he inherited his sire's quick tongue and his mother's temper, he was swiftly fostered to the women of the Lower caverns before he had a chance to be thoroughly spoiled. Once there, he was left mostly to his own devices until he was big enough to start carrying things reliably.
During one of his early excursions into the bowels of the Weyr, he came across a group of older boys teasing one of the other youngsters. He hadn't ever really thought about other kids his age, and was something of a loner previously, but something about the crying just jolted him right down to his core, and he took after the older boys swinging.
Fate would have it that Hallison happened upon the scene right before the bully boys could really lay into Demi, but the smaller lad never forgot the experience. Initially he did rebel against being dragged off to be coddled and protected by the larger Hallison, but once his brain caught up with his instincts, he realized something very important.
Hallison was big
Very big in fact.
And while the lad apparently didn't have much use for Bully Boys or their violent ways, he did strike Demi as the type of guy another guy could rely on in a pinch. So he gave in and allowed himself to be carted off to the Kitchens where his Foster mother made a great deal over his bruises and scratches, and he carefully kept up the feeling of camaraderie between himself and Hallison.

Other/Talents: Witty and devilishly smart, Demi seems to be pretty good at making his enemies suffer.
