Has anyone ever needed to take a small break from WoW, you know, just a week or two?
At this point between having too many friends jumping server, dealing with two raids (one not quite there and the other what's left of what was one of the highest ranking alliance guilds on the server)....I need a break. Between that and stress I'm just finally fading out. Usually my raiding demeanor is calm and optimistic, however lately it just seems to have gone away. I even snapped at the raid last night. That never happens. My time expires Sunday morning (PST), that's when the break starts for me.
So, what do you guys think?

I take breaks often, not because the game is stressful, but because the game is boring as ********. Every few months I take a month or two to just chill out. :B

My situation is just mostly juggling two raids and the pressure of trying to perform to the best of my ability, most of the time right after I get off of work. It's really annoying sometimes.

That happend to our raid leader once. You know what he did? he gquit :p Its one of the reasons we only run 10 man raids now, so no one has to deal with any of the 25 man BS that they used to.

You know what he did? he gquit :p Its one of the reasons we only run 10 man raids now, so no one has to deal with any of the 25 man BS that they used to. That's what happened to my normal raid leader. He actually transferred servers with another healer. Which was cool as I could actually get into a higher raiding guild, but I know they used to be so much better because of me watching them on my boyfriend's screen. And now that I made my decision, three officers decided to take a two week break with me. Even BRK has made a decision to quit WoW altogether. Something has to be up in the world of WoW, or the world behind it. I'm just laughing about it.

I take breaks all the time. It's mainly because I can't even be online with my priest without getting several obnoxious requests to heal something or other. Also, I can't roll to save my life, so that's a frequent source of frustration. xD

I just came off an extended break.. And I take 'em often. When it's by choice, and you know you're coming back to it, it's not that bad.

Well if people want to take breaks, now is the time before the patch come out and theres actually something to do in the game :p I imagine that probably has a lot to do with it ^_^

Since I have very few friends in WoW, no one ever really needs me except for the occasional port somewhere.
So, I take breaks without anyone knowing. They're usually not intended, though. It'll be because I was either sick or had a bunch of schoolwork and didn't log into WoW.

lolol i usually xfer when people i'm guilded with is giving me unwanted irritation. dramallama Insults and being obnoxiously loud or an a** wouldn't irritate me..
but officers chasing any new chick joining the guild sure does, or arrogant female wow players who are not that good. rofl

Ugh yes. People need to take breaks sometimes. I'm kinda taking one now. That for me means that I don't log on unless I have a raid to go to. Blizzard just isn't putting out the content fast enough to keep people from being bored to death. There are only so many daily quests you can do and most of the people I know don't need to do heroics anymore. And really, who wants to grind out heroics if you don't have to?
So until 3.1 comes out, I won't be doing anything other than helping my guild clear 10 and 25 mans. I've already farmed everything I need for the upcoming patch. Sit back and take a little break! It *shouldn't* kill your guild. If they're relying on you that much, they have bigger problems than you can solve on your own.

I'm becoming a champion of Audiosurf while waiting for Ulduar.
Even though I don't have a guild, because I don't care lolol.
What is the point. Hard mode encounters are a band-aid. I can join a casual (read: GOOD CASUAL, yes they exist there are 3 weekend raiding guilds that have H:GotR on my server) guild that raids twice a week and clear the same content eventually. Oh no, so I'll kill Alagon a few months late. Or I can watch a video of the encounter and do well in school/life/etc.

My Wow breaks are really whacked. Like, I'll play for 6 months straight, obssessively, then not for 4 months..then play a couple weeks..then another month off and woot I'm back in deep. stressed /intervention
