Ever since I was a kid and I would go out to visit my mom's family on the east coast I have been amazed by how different things are from one area to another. Since I don't even know where the majority of our guild is from, let alone anything about their area, I thought I would make this topic for us to discuss the differences in our areas. Please, do not feel any need to get specific about location if it makes you uncomfortable, I completely understand; but, if you notice something different about your area, please feel free to share. 3nodding

Okay, so, a little bit about the area I'm from. I'm located in southern Illinois, about 30-40 minutes out of St. Louis. It's a small area, and most of the people who live here have lived here their whole lives. I live in a small suburban area, but I'm just on the outskirts of the rural area (I just passed the horse farm today and they were all out being cute whee ). And, right now, I'm really upset becuase the leaves aren't really changing, they just kind of half change then fall off. (I love autumn, especially in Illinios!) 3nodding xd

And, I don't know, living someplace where there is a lot to do might be fun, but I don't like traffic, so I'm not sure how well that would work out... sweatdrop

It seems like a much more laid back than the U.S. (okay, really any country does) We had conference in Toronto last year, but I couldn't afford to go, but everyone loved it (even though they all almost freezed to death). So, what is it that you don't like about your area, if you don't mind me asking.

I want to live somewhere that's a city, I've always wanted to go to Tokyo even if just to visit.

Welllllll...right now I live near Philadelphia, PA! The leaves are kind of changing, but then kind of not. I used to live in upstate NY (:gonk) where the season changes were just so dynamic....and I lived in Michigan for a year, but it wasn't that different from NY. And Pittsburgh is basically the same as Philly...buy yeah, Philadelphia. It's a cool place, if you're into that kind of thing...I mean, I guess there are some things to do...but I don't know, the people around here are too stupid to realize what they're surrounded by. 99/100 people at my high school spend every Friday at the school football game. Which just goes to show that you can be surrounded by art, culture, excitement, etc, and still be a moron...
