Edel was having another one of her usual days, she couldn't say she was exactly excited about that, but at least she wasn't sitting around doing nothing. And she wasn't carrying on some pointless conversation, just for the sake of talking. She couldn't quite comprehend how far certain people would go just to keep themselves occupied. Such things were pointless to here, she'd rather observe other Soquili from a distance, or talk to them only if she thought they had something interesting to say.
Of course, she could use some company. She'd been wandering around on her own since her harsh encounter with the desert, and she was determined there had to be as many interesting characters in her forest as there had been in the sweltering-frying-pan of a desert. "Too bad there's never anyone around..." Yes, she could see the path before her, though the light blue blindfold behind her eyes. She wasn't blind, but she had a purpose for hiding her eyes.

Amidst the shadows of the forest stood the hybrid of a male--horns slyly hidden amongst the equally dark hair, and large, fairy-like wings prominent against his body. It was indiscernible what exactly brought him to such a dark place, for while his bright body and colorful patterns along his left leg and face marked him out of place, other traits made him seem almost fitting.
As soon as the mare entered his surroundings, the male immediately took note and stepped lightly from his place to meet her, though still taking care to keep to the cloaking shadows of the trees. Soon, the sounds of the metal around his necklace could be heard as he walked, and he knew it was likely that the female would find his presence to be obvious. He delighted himself with that knowledge, as company was always pleasant to look forward to.
He slowed down as he caught the mare's words, and observed her figure--she, too, had wings like his, but split in two, and in addition, other features that piqued his interest. Perhaps he wasn't the only puzzle in the forest, after all!
"Never anyone around? I'm afraid I have to contradict that remark!" the stallion smiled as he offered a slight bow of the head, "Can that 'too bad' be turned to a 'too good' now, that we are not alone, hmm?"

Edel knew about the stallion's approach shortly after he spotted her. She wasn't overly curious in at first, but as she began to hear the clanking noise of metal on metal, and the soft hum of the air against his wings, her interest did peek. When she did get her first look at him, after he spoke, she noticed how, almost, out of place he was.
Her was very bright, with strongly, contrasting, dark hair. A smile twitched across her lips for a second. He was obviously happy to have some company, and well, Edel was happy she had found someone interesting so far from her normal route of travel. Instead of her usual cool routine, she kept a smile on her face.
"It could be, but it does raise several questions. Like why someone as bright, and obviously out-going, as yourself is out this far in the forest?" Edel peeked on of her eyebrow over her blindfold. "Of course, that question could be turned back on me just as easily. With the exception of the bright, and out-going part. That's not exactly my style."
