Spring had started not to long ago; and most of the snow had melted away but the skies were cloudy, and rain was always drizzling. It was strange on those kind of days... Starlet found that she was finding brighter colors faster, but they almost hurt her eyes. And today for sure that was going to be a problem if it happened! The young foal had strutted her way away from the teepee and her mother in search of her friend! The large bright stallion~ He wasn't one for word, and once Starlet was able to form correct sentences and had a life of her own she would be sure to gabber away at him.
But for now the young filly would babble in his direction. He himself was like a jungle gym! being so large, and she so small; she was able to run around him and play. He didn't seem to mind TO much, but she had yet to catch him on a bad day. She wiggled her way to that field where they had first met, and with her pink eyes she peered around in hopes of seeing his bright orange coloring.
Pushing her nose with its pink heart, which she got from her father; to the air she snuffed a little. It smelt like rain. It was always smelling like rain. Starlet almost glowed on that fore casted day. From her mother she received a blueish aura, It was a strange thing the ever slight color was. But it was something from her mother; so to her it was a comfort. Her short tail flicked behind her and her ears leaned forward.

Indeed the stallion was never much for words. He found it easier to keep away from idiots and love sick females. The only thing (which at this time he considered the filly) that he even remotely allowed near him, was Star. One couldnt be sure if it was because he found her oddly cute, or if she just wouldnt go away until she had his attention, as to why he allowed her to hang around without him walking away or flat out ignoring her.
At first his colors blended in with the sun, the sky and the foliage around him. It wasnt until she came closer that he could easily be seen. He was at the forest's edge, grazing as he normally tended to. His powerful wings were flopped lazily to his sides, as if uncaring. He never really tended to use them anyway.
He could hear the familiar trampling noises of Star from the distance and an ear flicked to acknowledge her presence.

Finding the large stallion Starlet pounces around the grass in her excitement. Some of it was still larger then her! Tripping her way over to him, she gave his leg a slightly nuzzle as her hello, and ducked under him. If it hadn't been for Req, Starlet would have probably be a depressed foal. But she didn't even know it herself.
Req was saving her, right now, even if he didn't speak to her. Starlets father had taken her sister back to his teepee and then he, himself left to look for the missing foal of his herd again. starlet was to young to understand any of it. But her mother did her best in raising her one foal. The contempt that built in her mother... Liberty's parents and herd would be raising her other daughter caused her mind to start slipping.
"G-ggood Moooorning." Starlet sounded out proudly. Having been better then she ever had been. She pranced about his legs. "Water today?" Starlet had wanted to go and play in the water. But the weather might prevent this.
(btw; this RP doesn't have to be to long, since as a foal she's unable to really do anything. So unless he happens to stumble on finding out about her parents we can do this as a quick RP and then do an adult one which would be a bit more interesting XD )

He didnt know much about this foal at all, but something about her warmed his heart. Feeling her nuzzle and seeing her prance around made the stallion chuckle lightly, his ears docked a bit, relaxed again as he finally peered at her under him. His voice was low and smooth, almost calming. Alluring to most older females usually.
'Good morning, Star.' For his few words, he was seemingly somewhat proper. A smile curved his lips as he used his wings to play 'tag' with her a bit. 'Water?' he looked up. 'Sure... we can go to the water, if thats what you wish little one.'

Starlet giggled at him. The young foal wiggled as his wings played with her. She was happy to hear that he would go to the water with her. She strutted out from under him. Her ears taking to his voice and she acted as if she was leading the way... She took him not to far from where they were to a opened area that had the river. It pooled there, and made for a 'bath' almost for the larger horses.
Starlet looks back at Req making her he didn't get lost. Not that he actually would. But Starlet was still learning that the adults were usually smart. She pranced her way into the edge of the water and splashed around.

He was more than happy to let her 'lead', and in fact it was quite adorable how she strutted around so. Before long it seemed he was wearing a continual smile around her. He yawned wide, tail flicking as he came to the water with her. He drank of the water deeply, ears moving to make sure to keep a keen watch on her. Somehow, he felt as if he were a guardian to her, and for once, he didnt consider such a thing a job, or a hindrance. Hell, he didnt even mind letting her feel as if she had to watch him. Normally he would consider such acts a slap in the face to his intelligence, but again, things were different with the foal.
He normally figured foals in general were annoying little things. Always getting into stuff, always bitching and whining and causing problems. Always being so needy. But none of those thoughts ever seemed to cross his mind with her. Tho his eyes and ears were still sharp to protect her on a whim, he was more settled than he had been for ages.

As a foal, there were a lot of things that Starlet never understood. She couldn't be considered 'special' in her intelligence either. But when she turned around, her pale pink eyes looked at Req, she was able to take in the true beauty that stood in front of her. To her, his vibrant colors were like... the light that broke through the darkness. Even though she was not lost in any darkness yet. But she would only come to understand that feeling when she got older.
The thought quickly left her mind, as she walked around the shallow water, making sure not to splash at him. There was a frog nearby that she would cash for a few minutes, before she walked her way over to him.
She would lay in the water, folding her legs. She wanted to tell her only friend something but wasn't to sure how to communicate such a thing, at her age.
"Does Req have family?

He noticed how careful she seemed to be around him, and he made a point to flick his tail at her, splashing her a bit with water. When she settled in the water, he did as well. It was a strange feeling, one he never considered... actually laying in the water in such a way. It was refreshing to say the least.
He shook his head a bit, not minding the heavy feeling of his mane as more and more of it got wet. 'No, no family', he said in a low but gentle tone. He couldnt even remember a time when he had any, but he wasnt going to tell her that. No need, and he didnt want to weigh more things on the little ones mind. More than he could tell, she already had. 'I dont mind tho... I have you...' he smiled gently.

Starlet looked up at Req, and it was up, such a height difference even when laying. For Starlet, the idea of family was common. She had family. But even though the others that lived at the teepee didn't have family, it never really occurred to her.
But when Req told her that it was okay, because he had her, a feeling she never experienced filled her. She felt warm and happy, and she smiled at him, unsure of how to tell him how much she appreciated him.
She nosed at the water and lightly splashed some water back at him, obviosuly not getting the same height he had gotten with his. Before she jumped up and pranced around.

He often only saw emotions of sorrow and distress, never seeing something so purely happy. Something so... bright. The chaos and darkness in his heart completely culled as he determined he could be here forever with her. Such a happy place.
Lost deep in his own thoughts about the feelings he too had never really felt, or remembered feeling, he blinked a bit as she splashed some water at him. He smiled wide and turned to laugh whole heartedly when she started to jump and prance around. It was odd for him to even laugh so loud, but he didnt seem to care or mind at the moment.
He remained laying as to not over tower her more than he already was, instead he kept playing with her with his wings and his own muzzle, pushing her over lightly in the water, not to hurt, but to play back.

Starlets ears folded over when he laughed. It wasn't a bad sound, but it was loud non the less. She smiled up at him, and got nudges over. She would roll over in the shallow water, and then bounce right back up.
She played in the water, dancing around and rolling about. But a little while later, she started to slow down... She was tiny, and only had so much energy. She leaned forward against Reqs nose and she yawned some.
"When I get older. We'll have tons of adventures together..."
Sorry its short >.< I feel like she can only do so much because she's a foal still XD

(( Np, I often find that shorter responses allow for more natural responses. Unlike the massive 3 paragraph ones that sometimes dont allow the other player to react like they normally would :3 ))
Requiem held her easily with his softer muzzle and shifted as he brought a wing to pull her closer to lay next to him. He watched her all the while, ears moving at her soft small sounds, nuzzling close.
"I cant wait..." he spoke softly as to not hurt her ears. She was so small against him but she had so much life. So much to go for. Nothing in the world could have made him happier than this moment. It was perfect.

( XD good to know. I think that we could finish this RP up in the next post or too, since she's likely to take a nap )
Req was like a big teddy bear for the small Usdia. The large Angeni could use her like a little rag doll, with her side. But he was very gentle with her. She had an exciting day with her good friend. So it was a simple thing to stay she had a good day, even though it was barely over. The small foal needed her nap!
She wondered if she should go home, or if Req would want to play later. But the small one simply yawned and nestled against.

(( ugh... holy sheet.... 8D mai have we plotted a lot since this RP haha ))
He just watched her gently, one of his wings folded over her to block any sunlight that might be otherwise making her too warm or get in her eyes. The carefree moment making him just as lazy, relaxed and tired. Without even thinking, the stallion started to hum faintly. It was a song he often found himself falling into when he would go visit the dead. He didnt really know where he originally heard the song, or really what it meant, it seemed to be more a song of the soul more than anything.
His eyes closed as he soaked in the suns rays, the soft breeze and water felt nice, even if it lasted just a little while.
