Guyy pulled the car up on a side street around the corner from their destination. He parked it and leaned back in the seat, tapping his fingers on the wheel. He was clearly quite agitated at the situation, though he was doing his best to suppress it. They were here to do a job, and he focussed on that. He turned to Kaori sat next to him and then glanced in the mirror at the passengers in the back. Jack sat there, dressed entirely in black. It had been a long time since Guyy had seen him in such an outfit. Even his flaming red hair was carefully covered by a black baseball cap (though it still kept escaping). The little redhead hugged a small metal case to his chest like a child would hug a stuffed bear. On the other side of him sat Raven, staring out of the window silently. And between them a cheerful young face where Ilia sat humming as if this was no more than a family trip out for the night.
Guyy wound down the window a crack and took out a cigarette, lighting it and taking a draw of the toxic smoke. The effect was calming enough. He looked out at the moonless sky. Kaori had chosen the night well. He doubted any of them would have any real difficulty in such low light. Jack always had his supplies to fall back on, though Raven he wasn't sure about. He knew very little about any talents the DJ had beyond what he had seen. But still, he had wanted to come and Kaori had managed to convince Guyy he wouldn't be the slightest hindrance to them. "Well, no time like the present." Guyy muttered as he finished off his cig and threw the stub out of the window.
He stepped out of the car and led the group to the edge of the Boss's compound. They were on the east side and he could remember the other side well. A copse of trees and some rarely trimmed grass. It was placed between the security building and the stables and, as he recalled, a blind spot for the cameras. He and Jack had made use of this particular stretch of wall countless times to sneak out of the compound. He looked up at it, solid and thick and almost twice his own height. He stared up at it thoughtfully before turning to his friend. "Have they fixed it?" He asked. Jack shook his head. "Not since I was last here." He replied, setting down his case. "I'll head up and check."
Guyy nodded and put his back to the wall, lacing his fingers and crouching to boost him up. They'd done this hundreds of times, but this time Jack just laughed quietly and pulled off his black sweater, exposing the tattoos and scars on his wiry body to the moonlight. After glancing around nervously and making sure no one was behind him he gasped and bent. With a flurry of feathers (and the regrettable splatter of blood that still unnerved him a little) he took to the air and landed on top of the wall gracefully. "Show off." Guyy smiled, shaking his head and looking up at him. He waited for Jack to make sure things were clear.
The little redhead folded his wings back against himself. First he scanned the area intently and then patted the wall around him. With a nod and thumbs up to Guyy he shuffled back a little and steadied himself. "Still no cameras, no guards and they haven't replaced the glass. Chances are they still haven't noticed." Jack grinned cheekily. Guyy nodded and turned to the others. "You can't tell from down here, but the top of that wall has shards of glass embedded in it. Anyone trying to break in would get a very nasty surprise when they got up there. Except for a stretch a few feet wide right where Jack is. We got up there one night and spent ages destroying the glass." Guyy chuckled at fond memories. "Jack, I'm sending Ilia up first. Guide her over the safe part and drop her down the other side." "Just drop her? You don't want me to fly her down?" Jack asked, peering over the edge of the wall. "She'll be fine. Ilia, you're up." Guyy turned to the little android and resumed his crouching stance.
Ilia placed her foot in the space created by Guyy's hands and with practised ease he flung her upward. She giggled and caught Jack's outstretched hand. With a smooth movement the redhead swung her over the clear part of the wall and dropped her down as instructed. He waited until she landed easily and grinned up at him before giving Guyy another thumb's up and readying himself to catch the next one up. Guyy crouched down again and looked up at Kaori and Raven. "Who's next then?"

The quieter of the lot fell behind the others and seemed to nearly disappear into shadow as they pursued Guyy, Jack and Ilia. The lady had chosen to wear her traditional gear, eventually she may decide to update her look however her armor was well worn in and she was used to how it moved. A black cloak draped over her like a solid curtain, the over sized hood draped over her features and besides her single white braid streaming down the front she was darker than the night itself. Raven was dressed all in black as well, a little more on the pretty boy side however with his zippered high collar sleeveless tank and elbow long, dull leather gloves. His blond hair stood out however and as unpractical as his attire seemed he didn't look at all concerned.
Standing motionless as the group came to a halt, the lady waited as Jack took flight to stand upon the wall and waited while Ilia was thrown up to be caught by Jack and then dropped to the other side. The scent of the blood on the air worried her, any patrolling animals would pick up that scent and draw attention to it, but she resolved that the lot of them could do away with any nosy things easily enough.
The tall blond wasn't about to get a hand from Guyy getting over the wall he seemed to disappear instantly at that moment. But she could sense his aura. Tiny little furry thing he was, he clung to the cloth that covered her shoulder and squeaked before darting off into the night sky. His chatter could be heard easily by her ears, and painted a picture of the surroundings already. She liked how thick the trees seemed to be in this location. While the bat circled overhead the lady stepped forward in response to her lord's question.
Without a word she approached the wall, and regarded it's height. It wasn't anything she couldn't easily clear but whether to humour Guyy and take his offer or actually show him what she was capable of was a rather tough choice. She smirked and looked at him from the corner of her eye, "Silly Oro.. hurry over the wall." Getting much more height than Ilia had, it was Kaori's own flamboyant exaggeration as she neatly tumbled over the top of the wall and dropped next to Ilia in a crouch. Taking a moment before righting herself and standing tall ready to continue their mission.

Guyy never once lost track of any of the group, nor of the area around them. So far things were quiet. That was encouraging. Kaori lagged behind a little but caught up swiftly when they got to the wall. No doubt she was keeping tabs on the area as well, in her own way. He waited patiently in his stance for someone to step up. And waited.
Raven changed forms and took flight, circling the area as a bat rather than allow Guyy to assist him in any form. Guyy rolled his eyes. This really was no time to be too proud. They couldn't be sure what exactly might happen in there and they all had to be prepared to rely on one another, egos be damned. Even his own. If he was stuck and Raven could help... well. He'd just have to accept that if they came to it. Hopefully they didn't.
He looked to Kaori, his scarlet eyes meeting her azures. With a raise of his brow he invited her to take the boost, but he met an amused expression instead as she gracefully stepped over. With a smile and a leap she was over the wall without his assistance. He stood up and raised his arms. Jack looked down at him and shrugged. "Next time I'm not even offering you know." Guyy sighed as he threw up first the case and then Jack's sweater. The little redhead caught then one by one and dropped them down to the others waiting on the other side. Guyy stepped back a few paces. With a run up he scaled the wall far enough for Jack to catch his arm and haul him up. He could have used his shadows to boost himself, but he decided to conserve Myurr's energy for now. Just in case.
Both men dropped off the side and landed in the grass gracefully. Jack gathered up his things. Guyy sensed around. Just as Kaori (and no doubt BatRaven) had picked up they were pretty secluded at the moment. He looked around. This would be a good place for Ilia to lie low for a little while before they raided the security building. First things first. "I hope you're all up for a little breaking and entering." he smirked quietly. "It will be easier for us to get around if we look the part. We're going to have to steal some uniforms. Raven, you're going to find this a lot easier than the rest of us. You're the same sort of build they usually hire here. Jack and I are known on sight so we're going to have to avoid the more established staff or wear facemasks if we need to be seen. Kaori, I'd suggest looking for medical wear if you can. He doesn't hire many female guards and it will provide cover for Ilia if you can keep her close." He glanced around, orientating himself in this familiar place.
He looked to Jack. The redhead nodded silently. He knew were they would be heading. He glanced up at Raven in the air. With a leap and a flutter of feathers (and leaving behind his pants and shoes) Jack was replaced with a stunning bird of red and golden plumage. It took to the sky and soon looked like no more than a regular night bird. The phoenix located the little bat swiftly and circled it before leading the way towards the apartment block. Jack would wait there on the roof to guide Raven in to the rooftop door.
"Ilia. I need you to hide here and stay silent. If anyone comes near don't move. Just stay hidden and looks after uncle Jack's things for him. Can you do that for me?" Guyy turned to the little android, bending to her level. "Yes Daddy. I'll be good." She nodded and with all the practised ease she slid beneath a bush and pulled Jack's sweater over her head. She all but vanished from view. Guyy scooped up the metal case and carried it. Jack might need it. He glanced over at Kaori. "I'm heading around the back. It's probably going to take me a couple of minutes to make it to the apartment block. Jack and Raven should be on the roof. There is a side door on the north that leads into a utility room, that will be our best bet."
Guyy waved a hand and his eyes clouded over. He was blind now, but harder to see. He left it up to her whether she took the direct route or came with him around the back. She would be safe either way. He gave her a nod and slipped back into the trees, clouded in shadow. He would have to avoid the cameras around the back, but he knew where each and every one was.

Amused nonetheless Kaori failed to keep a smirk from tugging at her lips. "Next time? Wouldn't that be a waste of our efforts now if we let there be a next time? Moh, Milord.. quit joking around." she chided him as he scaled the wall before giving his instructions. She nodded understanding what it was she was looking for. It had been a while since she last used her invisibility in Guyy's presence, since the attack on that science compound that held Wavedancer a while back. It was now that she used it again and vanished from sight entirely the two fliers were already getting across the compound without any hindrance and while Guyy slinked off, she strolled directly past the security building taking a peek at how many souls she could see in these rooms with her enhanced sight and even a bit by stretching her other senses.
The gardens were quite lovely as she passed through them, she even stopped to smell the fragrant flowers.
"I don't like nights like this, so bloody hard to see anything." came a mans voice that passed by a few yards away. A second answered, "Oh shut up and get moving, the boss doesn't pay whiners." And she wondered if she should make a move or just continue and dance around them. Finally she decided that they'd die soon enough and it was best to stick to schedule. Once they were at a distance, she felt happier and continued her casual stroll to the North side of the building as instructed earlier. She loved being a grim reaper right now.
Raven on the other hand was having fun chasing down Jack his chattering stopped abruptly as he landed on the roof and picked up again as he used sound to create a picture to see what was around. It hadn't been the most graceful of landings, however he ended up resuming his normal form sitting in a dark corner out of sight of any cameras. For now that would have to be good enough until the others showed, he didn't wait long. Kaori only half materialized looking quite ghost-like and transparent, there was more than once she did this to him and had given him quite the scare on numerous occasions.
She usually found it funny. He hated it.

Jack had fun, fluttering and chittering a little in the air as he danced around Raven in what at any other time might have been a playful and expressive display of flight. They landed and Raven changed back. Jack remained in his avian form and settled on Raven's shoulder comfortably. He preened a little and fluffed up his feathers (and nibbled at Raven's hair a little idly).
"You think this will be our final hunt together Milady? I know better." Guyy retorted with a playful smile as they each faded in their own manners. He watched her for a moment, or rather sensed her, as she vanished from view and made her way towards the gardens. He envied her for a moment and the ease with which she did things, but he couldn't be envious for long. He grinned to himself with pride that she was the most deadly and beautiful woman in Durem, perhaps Gaia.
He made his way to the edge of the woods, paused to check the coast was clear, and slinked from tree to bush to the wall of the manner cloaked in shadow. He moved carefully, waiting for moments when there was no one present. He slipped right beneath some of the cameras, making use of the small blind spot beneath. For a moment he contemplated sending tendrils of shadows up to crush the cameras but figured that would only bring guards running. They would have to take them all out at the same time.
With careful patience born of years of similar missions he crept around the back of the manor, only having to duck into bushes and wait a couple of times as a patrol passed by. Before long he could sense the warm water of the pool and the hulking box that was the gymnasium. The apartments were a short run away. But he kept to the slow and steady approach, slipping around the back of the gym and heading for the north door. He could already sense the others waiting for him. He crept out of the shadows, the darkness around him fading and colour returning to his eyes as he studied them and gave them a grin.
Guyy stepped up and reached out to the lock on the door. In a familiar way Myurr woke and slipped into the lock. With a quiet click the lock opened and Myurr returned to his arm. Guyy pulled the door open and stepped aside, gesturing for them to enter quickly. "Jack, take them up to the nearest empty room before we're spotted." He hissed under his breath. The bird cooed quietly and fluttered a little on Raven's shoulder. With a little chirrup he took flight towards the hallway.

"You better not dump on my shoulder bird." Raven teased and in response got his hair chewed at, with a smirk he tried to save his hair from being crimped. "Cut it out." he defended quietly obviously amused.
It was no time at all that he was up and taking off after Jack, although he didn't get far, the pair of them were held running and flying on the spot by an invisible hand that turned very visible. "Hold it you two. Stay here. And don't let Guyy out either. I'm going to go kill some things. Raven wait until I come back, don't let them leave."
The room was dark but he nodded knowing she'd see him do that, he was released and the fluttering Jack was put in Raven's hands, looking down on the bird a little bewildered, when Jack settled Raven resisted the urge to stroke the feathers. The door opened and closed but no one passed through it, or seemingly so. For a long while there was little if anything at all heard, a thump here a dull crack there but nothing that would alarm anyone to intruders. And he did as he was told, stood there at the door facing Guyy who came in behind the rest of them. "Kaori's busy. She'll be back for us in a bit."
~~~
Ugh. Gross. Kaori was utterly invisible and lifted a hand over her nose, the stench of must, grime, sweat, old sex, body odour, weed, smoke, drugs and whatever else were just foul. Did no one open any windows here? Apparently not. The hallway was all in dirty earthen tones, the carpet was near enough to black from years of dirt and grime only the edges really betrayed what color it should have been. The walls were yellowed with smoke and at about 15 foot intervals there were doors. One or two were apparently open and people were playing soft music, someone passed between the two rooms.
Kaori smirked loving the invisibility trick of hers. It was to the end of that hall with the open door that she fled, silently so and rushing around the corner, attacked her first victim. Her hand passing into his chest, gripped his heart and squeezed.
The guy began to sweat and clutched at her wrist or where it should have been apparently, the one other in the room became concerned quickly and ran to support his roommate. Whom collapsed, the heart attack in full swing she had drained him of his life energy.
In seconds the next had his head snapped too fast, the bones broken by now the one across the hall was scared and wondering "What the F***!" was going on. Trying to call for help, he ended up doubling over. He had been too tall to reach his head easily standing straight up like that, however... he suffered a similar fate as victim two.
None of these guys were dressed in anything swanky. They stank just as bad as the place itself, weeks without a shower, greasy hair, tattered old clothes. Kaori almost felt sorry for them, but they were out of their misery now. That was those three dealt with, she made her way back to the hall. It was time to bust down the doors! Or... just unlock them.
This one door on her right.. it didn't smell that bad.. in fact... it almost smelled like the man in there used something to try to cover the stench, cologne or air freshener or something. With her pinky claw inserted into the lock, and with a certain twist, the door nearly sprang open, just a couple inches anyway. It swung to the right as she pushed on it and let herself in the pitch black space.
This occupant was still sleeping... oh a juicy snack just laying in wait for her! He was built and tall and dark and handsome.. she could see just from his aura what he looked like... ooh but he had a foul temperament. His aura was an angry red naturally. Closing the door softly behind her she cast her illusions, his fantasy woman wearing nothing. With the click of the door he was startled up in shock, the light went on, a gun pointed at her. With slow steps and a coy smile on her lips she approached, crawled up over the sheets and placed a finger on his stuttering lips. "Shh.."
A dream come true? For him maybe, but in the heat of getting warmed up, her tongue licked along his neck forcing him to arch and expose his jugular to her, her fangs sunk into his flesh and she drank him utterly dry. A sort of response humans had to just such a motion, numbing the area, perhaps it was a toxin in her own saliva that affected the nerves and made their backs arch, perhaps it was because of the way she could toy with their life energy and use the minor amount of electricity to make them do as she wished. He didn't move, he trembled in resistance and then went limp and slumped. This one did smell good and tasted even better, perhaps because he was young. Poor thing. The illusion was cast off as she leapt from the bed and she would be on to her next victim in room number four (not that the number on the door matched how many rooms she was finished with,) but her gaze went to the end of the hall.
Right.
In the utility closet were the boys. In her process and excitement in the amount of blood she had available to her... not that she could drink them all dry... (she'd wait for the next sweetest one to drain,) they'd want their fun too. Even if she did think that it would be better for her to clear out the rooms herself.
Her invisibility keeping her shielded of course she made her way back to the closet and slipped within, the back of her hand was lifted over her mouth wiping away the blood of her latest meal. Raven might not see her and Jack might not be able to tell but the warmth of it.. that Guyy would be able to sense or maybe even see in his blindness.
~~~
She didn't bother becoming visible Raven noticed. -"Three rooms are cleared at the end of the hall, no open doors left on this floor. I'll continue from where I left off and work my way to this end of the hall if you boys want to work on this end or even to a lower level, the coast is clear for the moment."-
Her voice was in a low whisper, he barely heard her himself. He was more quiet than usual, it wasn't the first time he'd see her in action, but he knew that deep down, Kaori never really enjoyed this kind of work or the fact that she was as good as any vampire, feeding on blood. He knew that, she had told him so.
In fact, he had seen her twice in the process of draining a victim, once he had walked in unaware and once on a mission they had been on together back when she was trying him out for a position as a reaper... and came across a complication. It was just after that, that she had disappeared for the longest time without word. And it was the Den that she had returned to where he found her after a couple years of nothing... that night that she was nearly killed by Guyy... as if she wanted to be killed. He mentally shook the picture from his thoughts and returned to the present. He knew she had already fed, maybe she would again this night, but he knew that she'd keep him from seeing it. She'd make sure none of them would, he knew that, after all.. she was ashamed of that need.

Guy chuckled as the invisible reaper stepped forward and put a stop to Jack and Raven's enthusiasm. He didn't need to see her to know where she was after all. He silently ensured the outer door was closed, set down Jack's metal case carefully and snooped around the room a little. With a quiet sigh he noted the building had a small rodent infestation again. Behind one wall a family of mice were living their unobserved lives, no doubt feeding on the trash and waste that tended to accumulate in the rooms and in the trash cans downstairs. They probably made a good living at it too, from what he could remember. There were plenty of staff in his own day that would take meals into their rooms and then leave the remains lying for days. He only looked up when Kaori invisibly slipped through the door and into the hallway beyond.
Jack trilled musically, almost like a whisper. He was quite content to settle in Raven's hands, trusting the man entirely to handle him gently. Raven had strong hands but despite all the skills he had mastered, he was not forceful or violent. So the little phoenix snuggled down contentedly in order to wait out whatever Kaori was doing. From what they had discussed he suspected she would be exercising her own skills. And he probably didn't want to witness that anyway. Instead he happily warmed Raven up and waited.
Guyy smirked when Raven authoritatively guarded the door to prevent him leaving and joining in the fun. He cast his eyes past the blond and stared at the wall. Yes, she was busy. He could sense her almost ghostly presence and the sudden halting of many a heart, often preceded by the racing pulses of the frightened, the confused and once... the excited. He chuckled softly at that, apparently laughing at nothing in the darkness. She was really having fun. And there was more to it than that, he knew. He could sense it even over the living radiator that was a happy Jack.
His theory was confirmed when she returned, remaining hidden but brimming with energy. The blood on her lips was still warm. He knew how much she disliked being seen to feed, though he had the honour of witnessing it once before, back at the laboratory. He licked his own lips and looked in her direction, giving her a soft smile. In fact, he had helped her that time by calming her chosen meal so that she would not spook the others present and let everyone in on Kaori's guilty secret. He didn't remark on it, though he suspected she was well aware he could sense her.
"Good job Kaori, I doubt they knew what hit them. That's the way, strike first and strike hard. These men may be armed and are always dangerous. Desperation can do that to a man. We'd do well to take out as many as we can while keeping things quiet. Just be careful." He directed this remark mostly to Raven. Kaori had witnessed the inhabitants of the building personally and Jack and himself were all too familiar with the place. They had been those scruffy urchins not long ago. Though Jack had never really been scruffy. That was probably one of the reasons Jimmy loved tormenting him.
Jack cut in with a trill. For some reason, though he could mimic many things in his current form he could not access any real speech. All the same he knew how to make himself understood most of the time. This time the bird twittered a few bars of a song. Guyy recognised it swiftly enough. Knights of Cydonia. How often had they listened to that song together while preparing for a mission in this very building? "No one's gonna take me alive. Time has come to make things right." Guyy muttered in time to Jack's trills. The bird cocked his head in Guyy's direction meaningfully. "Appropriate. I agree. Hold on."
Guyy crouched down for a moment and concentrated. He was close enough to their old rooms to sense any potential inhabitants and that was precisely what he was attempting to do. When he stood again he shook his head. "Mine's empty. They've moved someone into yours already. We should clear this floor out and do something about the cameras before we go visiting though." Guyy chuckled to the phoenix. Truthfully, though he wouldn't admit it in front of Raven of all people, he didn't really look forward to going back to that place. Perhaps if he held off on it Jack would lose interest in returning to those rooms, though he didn't hold out much hope of it. Guyy turned to face Kaori again, not seeing her but feeling her.
"You can continue love. We'll start on this end and we can meet in the middle. We'll simply have to open the doors ourselves. With fortune most of these lucky bastards will die in their sleep tonight. It would be easier to exterminate this floor now to ensure we get a clean getaway and have plenty of time to get suitable disguises." Guyy stepped to the edge of the door and waited in silence for a moment. No movement in the hallway. "At your leisure, it seems." He smiled.
Jack fluffed up in Raven's hands. He wasn't going to be much use in this form if it came to a fight. He chirruped once quietly before hopping out of Raven's hands. Light bird talons extended, but by the time they hit the floor they belonged to a decidedly semi-naked redhead. He retrieved his case and glanced up at Raven. "You don't have to come, if you don't want." He said softly as he popped open the case. He barely glanced at his hands as the sniper rifle was swiftly assembled with the ease of years of practise. It was precautionary. He didn't like using her indoors if he could help it, but they might have to make a sudden withdrawal. With the gun in his hands he barely looked like the meek man he seemed, as if having the metal in his hands somehow strengthened him. Jack was in mission mode, ready to play the part of the innocent assassin. He swung the gun strap over his shoulder and let it rest at his back. The necessity for quiet caused him to rely on a much more personal weapon for the time being and from the lid of the case he drew a simple and unremarkable bowie knife. He checked the blade quickly before letting it rest in his belt. He paused and looked up at Raven searchingly.
Guyy cracked open the door and nodded back at the others before he slipped into the hallway. He silently worked at the first door lock and let himself in with barely a click heard. He used his shadows to block the hall light from breaking into the room alongside him, thus ensuring the man in the bed slept as deeply as if nothing was wrong. The thicker shadows Guyy manipulated had their uses too, pressing into the parted lips of the sleeper and muffling his cries effectively as he struggled for air. No sense wasting venom on those who did not deserve the honour, after all.

The tigress was quick to resume where she left off, making her way leisurely down to the other end of the hall once more. The room on the right had been the one she had stopped at before returning to the boys previously. With the same technique as before, she opened the door and let herself within although she didn't have shadows at her aid to keep the light out she did see the single aura of this one. So far she had kept the bloody mess she could be creating to a minimum and with nothing more than a pillow, held it over the victims face. Muffled cries for help died as the body went limp, her careful eyes seeing the heart slow and then stop before she left this room and continued on.
Meanwhile back in the utility room, Raven watched the red head until he received that searching look. Which made him think he ought to hurry up and join their friends in the slaughter. A smug smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, "Hn." he wandered around the hot water tank, out of Jack's direct line of sight and when he came out from behind it, in the same pace he had been walking in, the thing that he shape shifted into would give any bird a heart attack.
A giant, sleek, pitch black jaguar with haunting yellow eyes. He blended perfectly into the shadows, nearly invisible if not for those amber orbs. It was a beast that would fit smoothly in the cramped quarters and had enough lethality to easily kill a man in an instant. Even if it would be a little gory.
The shape shifter sat before Jack and now looked ever so slightly down at the crouched man with an intelligence behind those eyes one might find uncanny and chilling. As if he were waiting for something, perhaps only for Jack to give him the go ahead or some sort of command. But it seemed one thing was clear, Raven wasn't going to go off on his own but would most likely stick close to Jack.
Down at the other end of the hall Kaori was making double time as she had Yaone go and collect the souls of the bodies she'd already killed while she entered the next room and induced another heart attack. And the pair continued like this until they reached the halfway point in the hall. With with snake coiled on the floor its head raised as though looking for the boys.

Guyy slipped out of the room silently. He moved to the room opposite, stealthy and deadly as he ended the life of the poor soul that resided there. This one didn't even get a chance to wake up. He was a lucky one. Unlike Kaori he didn't harvest the souls, leaving them for her to round up if she wished. The next room was troublesome. The resident was awake. He hissed under his breath as he paused outside the room, hand on the door. The man was pacing back and forth inside.
This would have to be a fast one. He unlocked the door and burst in. There were the soft sounds of surprise and a scuffle, then a dull thud. After a moment Guyy stepped back out of the room, straightening his shirt and cursing the blood spots on it. He glanced up the hallway, smiling as Kaori and Yaone slipped from room to room. She was as deadly as she was graceful.
Jack was hardly a normal bird. Nor was he afraid of the normal things. And he certainly wasn't afraid of Raven, no matter what form he took. He watched as he paced behind the hot water tank, returning sleeker and blacker. A beautiful jaguar. Jack's gaze softened on him. Yes, Raven could take care of himself. He was foolish to have been concerned.
He crouched down, stretching out a hand to brush across that velvet and silken fur that darkened the deadly cat's cheek. He was hot, soft and very strong. Jack could feel the muscles beneath the dark skin, toned to perfection just as his human form was. It was amazing really. "If you're sure." Jack smiled, glad to have him at his side even if he was a bit wary about letting the man he cared for see exactly what training had been drilled into him. "We ought to go before there are none left then."
He stood and stepped into the hallway, seeing Guyy a little stained as he left a room. He cocked an eyebrow and the raven haired man shook his head to indicate that no, the blood was not his. The shadow snake around his arm slipped free, crossing the hall to a locked door and vanishing for a moment before returning to Guyy's arm. Guyy waved at the unlocked door before continuing on his way, an amused glance at the black jaguar at Jack's side.
Jack grinned. How nice of him to unlock the door for them. He placed a hand on the big cat's shoulder, silently speaking volumes. Showtime. Then he dashed towards the door and slipped inside, leaving it ajar for the cat. The occupant was smoking at the window. A flash of recognition sparked in the man's eyes and he reached to his shoulder holster for his gun. Jack's knife opened his throat before he could react and he pulled the body inside before it could fall free and alert anyone. He looked back to Raven hesitantly. There was a noise in the bathroom. This one wasn't alone.

Raven certainly was an arsenal of beasts, a bird wicked for surveying and not just the one type he did have a few to choose from, a bat for sneaky infiltration, a jag for situations like this where he needed power in a smaller size, a horse for retreating quickly and taking a passenger with him... so far that was all Guyy had seen of his forms anyway and there were more for the blond to choose from, many more.
The shape shifter slunk along the hallway entirely out of place and yet as casual about being where he was as though he'd been doing this sort of thing his whole life. Amber orbs were watching the tigress slip from one room to the next moving quickly, Yaone was catching up to her, the pair in a sort of dance as they moved across the hallway and disappeared again.
Whoops there goes Jack into the newly unlocked room, with the door ajar, the jag could use his paw to knock the thing open a little more and slip into the room. His ear flicked to the bathroom and he readied himself crouching like any cat would, his tail swaying for when the door opened and pounced upon a surprised prey, paws on shoulders and teeth sinking into it's neck he snapped his head and severed the cervical vertebrae before he landed neatly over the now limp... woman. She had made a noise of fright but it hadn't been quite enough to alarm people say below their position.
Backing out he dragged her limp form into the middle of the room and placed her next to the one Jack had taken care of. Finally letting his 'kill' go and licking his chops free of her blood, his deadly gaze slid to find Jack before turning and slinking towards the door once again to move on.
Another heart attack induced victim went limp under Kaori's hand and finally Yaone had caught up to her, stealing the soul and feeding on it.
"Don't eat too much or you'll get lazy and I don't want to carry you around all night." Kaori told the nearly black snake which was indeed a very deep emerald green, her little amber filled eye sockets blinked at her and the head intelligently nodded, the soul in her mouth stayed there as she swirled unnaturally quickly around her master and dropped the small sphere into the tigress' palm, and it shrunk in size until it was gone and a fist of claws was in it's place. Kaori's fingers having curled in, the fist was dropped to her side as she exited this room and crossed the hall to the next.
There were muffled voices in this one... in the action of love. It put a smile on her lips, she listened and waited for the right moment because at one point neither will stop what they are doing for need of the other, invisible as ever she cast yet another illusion, one that sealed out the light of the hall, they wouldn't even know that she had entered. The wall of the room had been mirrored perfectly and closed in only enough on the room to allow her to slip in through the real door.
His heart was pounding with exertion and with just a slight bit of encouragement, at just the right moment, the weakest part ripped spilling blood into the cavity of his body in moments, despite relaxing he'd bleed to death not that the other would notice as he rolled off her. She was already passed out as the poison from the snake bite on her ankle worked into her system.
How merciful of the lady to let them die a happy death together. Their souls were collected, the illusion of the wall was dropped and Kaori exited into the hall. Having spent some time with this pair she was sure the boys would have caught up to her by now.

Jack had seen several of his transformations now, and he was silently amazed with every one. Each still had that element of Ravenness that warmed him through. Despite his apprehension about Raven getting hurt, he was glad to have him at his side in a fight, especially after he slipped into the room and quickly dispatched of the woman in the shower.
Jack crouched beside her for a moment after Raven dragged her back into the room, naked and soaked through, stained with blood and torn at the neck. He vaguely recognised her as one of the Boss's prostitutes. The small noise she had made before her death would be ignored, noises like that were quite common here and no doubt anyone listening would have attributed it to her acting out her profession successfully.
Shame she had been caught up in it, but chances are she was normally quite dangerous herself. There was a reason the Boss's prostitution ring was so successful - local working girls either joined his ranks or were cut down as competition. He stood and wiped off his knife on the bedsheets before slipping it back into his belt. "Good job." He whispered to Raven before leading him back into the hallway. Kaori was waiting there, and before long Guyy joined them, quietly shutting the door on the final room.
"This floor is empty." Guyy assured them, casting ruby eyes around the area. He hadn't missed the action in Kaori's last room and his eyes met hers for a moment, giving her a soft smile. She was merciful in her murders. Not many would have waited until the moment of bliss to end their lives. "We'd do well to move on as quickly as possible. There are cameras in the stairwells so we shall have to be cautious." He warned them.
But even as he spoke, a movement in the stairwells caught his extended senses. Someone was coming up the stairs, and not alone. It would be likely to be an inhabitant from one of the empty rooms, or a visitor coming to join one of the mini parties that had been held up here. He froze and stared at the door at the far end of the hall, lifting a hand and waving it to inform the others to be silent. No doubt Kaori would pick them up almost at the same time as he had.
Jack sighed and swung his rifle forward, training it on the door and taking a secure stance. It was far from ideal to use her indoors, less so while standing, and even with the silencer it would be heard. He'd provide cover, waiting until the last possible moment to fire. If those coming up the stairs drew guns, he'd neutralise them before they had a chance to use them.
Guy edged to the door, waiting beside it. There were four people in all, three male and one female if his guess was right. All of them strong. He turned towards Kaori and held up four fingers, mostly for Jack and Raven. Kaori could probably sense them, but the others could not as far as he knew. Jack already had his gun ready at least. He waited for Kaori to find a suitable position as the door opened slowly. Quick as a flash Guyy grabbed the first man in reach, dragged them into the hall and, with a swift bite to the neck, dropped the body to the floor. They would have to be quick to off the others before they could raise the alarm.

Instantly the lady reaper was gone from sight getting the signal that there were four coming up the stairs, she could sense every step they took, as the first was pulled through by Guyy Yaone slipped through the door and fell upon the last of the lot wrapping herself tightly about the neck choking the offender and biting deeply into the hand that scratched at her, the man sunk to his knees, blocking escape of the other two in his paralysis.
The second man through the door instantly grabbed his crotch his face twisted up instantly as he cried out in pain and dropped into the fetal position. Definitely not dead and definitely still a threat. The woman behind him was knocked backwards by some unseen force flying backwards down the flight and smashing her skull on the far wall, before falling to the stair case floor and leaving the wall stained with a thick streak of blood. A shot from behind her rang off, if that wasn't heard she didn't know what would alert people to the attack that ensued.
Sapphires found the last of the four being released by Yaone and he was flat out lying upon the stairs looking very purple in the face, strangled to death. The woman.. Kaori doubled checked, her heart beat was still, Yaone took the souls of the recently dead quickly so that they would remain that way and returned to her mistress becoming invisible as she slithered about her form. Looking up to the top of the stairwell, she knew the boys were more than capable of taking care of that last one and she fled instead to the next level wanting to hurry before anyone saw the dead man on the stairs, if they hadn't heard the scuffle already. And there doors opened! Curious faces started dropping to the floor one after the other with unidentified slits suddenly gashing across necks, that one was suddenly beheaded as if a blade had been struck right through....
Raven loped forward, even though Kay was invisible, his eyes could see her, looking exactly like a ghost. As she dropped the man coming through and jumped past him to take out the third, the jaguar made for the kill of the one she left behind, but not before a flash of metal fired off a shot as he got in close, with a snarling growl his teeth sunk into the neck and twisted violently snapping the bones in the neck just as he had done to the woman in the shower.
His shoulder glistened a slice of red marring the black pelt. It wasn't too deep and he could still put weight on the leg (He found out as he tested it,) but it warranted a moaning growl as he licked at the shallow wound. His long pink tongue able to clean the length of the slice, it was angled upwards, somewhere the bullet was probably lodged in the ceiling, it was sharp enough angle that Jack would not have been hit by the shot.
He looked over his shoulder, sparing a glance for the red head before turning forward and running through the door navigating the stairs without too much trouble. He could hear Kaori fast at work and didn't want to leave her to handle too many at once, he skidded around the landing and down the next flight jumping to the second floor, there she was and here in front of him was one she missed!
He leaped quickly and hit the man from behind knocking him to the floor face first and again breaking the neck before he could do anything about the random chaos that was storming through the building. As he looked up he could see her dropping another one a hole in the chest caused by the sharp end of her naginata. "Rrrr" he breathed wanting to know which had people in it, she waved directions to him. First, right door, one soul. He went to cautiously investigate.

Guyy tracked Kaori with his other senses as she vanished, smiling to himself as the final man of the group's heart raced and then stopped. He almost winced for the second one that took the blow to the groin, a wicked grin on his face as he stifled a laugh at her tactics. She was ruthless, efficient, and sometimes remarkably cruel in her wonderful way. The woman was the final one to drop, her heart cutting off sharply as the back of her head struck the wall and steps with more force than the human spine could handle. A swift, painless death for her.
Jack kept his gun straight and steady, watching carefully as the two Seniors cleared the way. The one that was dropped with a swift blow to the crotch cried out and fell. The others were killed swiftly and their bodies left to drop or thrown aside out of the way. Still he did not move, ready to cover should the worst arise. Raven rushed to finish the unfortunate soul off.
Jack's eyes went wide as he saw the flash of a gun being pulled from a holster and aimed at the big cat. His finger flexed, applying pressure to the trigger. But the fur and muscle of the large cat obscured his shot and he released it before his bullet could escape and mortally wound his dearest friend. A shot rang out from the other direction and Jack's keen eye caught a small spray of blood. A growl echoed from Raven and plaster fell from the ceiling. "No!" Jack whimpered, dropping the barrel of his gun and running to rush forward. There was obvious distress in his emeralds, even as he met the glance of the shining turquoises before the big cat was gone in a flash. Guyy grabbed him.
"Go!" he hissed to Jack, pointing at one of the recently cleared out rooms. "But Raven's..." He began to protest, wanting to rush and tend to that wound immediately. "It's little more than a scratch. And it's not like you brought sutures anyway. You'll be more use clearing out the next floor for them." Guyy told him. The little redhead swallowed and nodded, still looking distraught as he ran and leapt clean out of the window of the third room on the right.
He caught the windowledge and swung into the room directly below with practised skill, bowling over the man inside and putting him out of the picture with a sharp blow from the butt of his rifle. How dare they harm Raven! Jack was angry now, and upset that it was his own fault Raven was here anyway. He threw his rifle back over his shoulder and took the man's handgun and silencer, screwing them together swiftly. They'd pay. All of them.
Without waiting for an all clear he burst out of the room and threw himself into the one opposite, ending the life of its occupant with a bullet between the eyes. No sense being quiet now anyway. Speed was the name of the game. A good old fashioned clear-out. Just like the old days.
Guyy had turned and ran along the corridor, throwing himself down the stairs opposite to the ones Kaori and Raven had taken, just in case anyone was trying to flank them. True enough he delivered a swift bite to a rather surprised and young minion who was racing up the stairs. he left the body where it was and with a wave of his hand, had his shadows crush the camera. No doubt security would notice something wrong soon. He grabbed his PAD and called Ilia. "Ilia sweetie. Can you distract the men in the security building for us?" He asked as he slipped into the corridor of the floor below just in time to see Jack charge from one room to the next. He sighed to himself. Jack was in a bad mood now.
"Right away Daddy!" Ilia squeaked in reply, squirming out from under Jack's shirt. Now she got to play. She skipped along to the front of the building in question and looked up at it. It wasn't very big. Just enough for a monitoring room, the servers, a nap room and a bathroom. That meant that there weren't many people inside. Probably just a couple watching the monitors and watching out the window, or having lunch or something.
Ilia considered what to do about this. The door was locked so she couldn't go in. She'd have to make them come out to her so she could get in. And Parvarti had taught her a trick or two that made her giggle mischievously. Taking a deep breath she steeled herself and then burst into tears, wiping her cheeks and wailing terribly. It took only a moment for a head to pop out of a window in confusion. "Hey Frank, there's a kid out here." Said the head. A voice from inside replied. "From the lab, or from the house?" "I dunno. Must be one of the lab kids, I don't recognise it." "Hey kid, what's your name?"
Ilia stopped and sniffled, staring up at the man. And then she broke into even louder wailing and dropped to sit on the floor as if the world was ending for her. The face above her crumpled into confusion, clearly at a loss. "Woah, shush kid. It's okay!" Said the head. "For Christ's sake, it'll wake the neighbourhood. Paula, you're good with kids, bring it in here so we can see who it belongs to." Said a voice from inside.
Within moments a woman stuck her head out of the door and glanced around before stepping over to Ilia and picking her up. "Shhh. It's okay. We'll get you back where you belong." The woman crooned soothingly. Ilia let herself drop back into sniffles and small sobs, cheering silently inside as the woman foolishly carried her into the security office. For the time being, all eyes were on her and not the screens. She took stock. Three security staff. Two men, one young and worried looking - the head at the window - and the other rather stocky and bald, plus the kindly woman. This was going to be such a fun game!

More bodies were beginning to fill the hallway, that silenced gun shot from behind her still had a creepy sort of sound to it as it was fired.
And it was more than enough to have curious onlookers realize the attack. Too bad the hallway was so narrow, fighting in close quarters with her naginata was out of the question. The snake was busy draining the life out of victims, one after the other.
The fight had begun, body after body was pummeled by her, an elbow there broken a loud pained scream as her flesh of a shield received blows meant for her instead. Dancing around this one struck dumb while bringing down his allies. A deadly dance of claws and skill, akin to a martial artist but different in her own unique style.
No longer did she hold her invisibility, they would know the face of one of death's many minions. Blood flew in all directions, the screams and dying groans of men and women alike mingled in the air around her. A body flew and tumbled behind her.
And not a scrap of effort found its way upon her features during the process.
Meanwhile the jaguar loped out of the room he'd been in and wheeled around the hall to watch Kaori at work, all his eyes saw was a blur of motion and bodies hitting the floor, dead. His ear flicked behind him as footsteps came running up the stair well to shouts of anger, he lunged and attacked the first of the lot with a loud snarling roar. More to alert the others they had company.
"Is that one of the experiments loose?!"
"It must be! Capture it!"
He was now looking at three men, one of them had eyes on the goings on behind Raven.
"Holy s**t! Call securi---!!"
Rawr! He was knocked over backwards and in the next moment Raven felt some sort of restraining device round his neck. You know the kind.. long pole with a metal cable loop at the end...

Guyy watched his beloved with great admiration as her hands and body moved swiftly, like a deadly and alluring dance. Before long the dull, grimy walls had a contrasting pattern of deep red splashes decorating the spaces she passed through, bodies slumping and dropping. Most still retaining that expression of shock from the surprise attack.
How foolish, to believe that this place was safe simply because it was behind a tall wall. Even when Guyy had lived here, he had never assumed his safety. In fact he knew his position was far more tenuous and deadly than it had been on the streets. Too many people succumbed to the illusion of security these days. Good thing there were people like Kaori around to correct that assumption. He smiled at her as he grabbed a youth by the throat. Bad timing to stick your head out of a door to see what was going on.
The body slumped at his feet and he ignored it as he moved towards her, eyes becoming black as shadows crawled from the walls and clawed at the corpses around her, clearing her path. A little housekeeping never hurt anyone. Except for these dead people, he supposed. Nor was he the only one watching as he sensed the smooth form of the big cat in the hallway with him.
Jack was on top form. He ran right out the room he had just cleared and made his way to the next, not even pausing as he cut right through Kaori's personal battle. He trusted her skills to avoid him, and his own to avoid her. Quite helpfully, as he ran through he placed a bullet in the brain of a man coming up behind her with a semi-automatic. It wouldn't do to have her clothing ruined after all.
The next room had a man waiting for him, gun aimed at the door. When Jack burst in he fired at the redheaded intruder. Jack's own finger was already on his trigger. With twin shots, one man fell. Jack gasped and grimaced, staring down at the body on the carpet in a slowly increasing pool of red. He touched his hand to his own cheek and looked down at it. Red. Lucky shot. The gash burned, dripping onto his shoulder. He ignored it.
He stepped back into the hall and glanced down behind Guyy. Raven was tearing into a man, but two others were on him. A noose was hooked around his throat as Raven roared angrily. How dare they. Jack's eyes narrowed. They weren't fit to touch Raven's hide. He raised the gun and let loose another bullet. It arced through the air, causing Guyy's hair to ruffle as he too turned to look at the situation, hitting the man holding the pole right below his elbow. Blood spattered and bone shattered, the man's screams mingling with those of Kaori's victims as his hand hung uselessly from a few shreds of skin and tendon.
"Take your filthy hands off of him." He snarled, pointing the gun at the other man. A quick shot ended any threat he showed to Ravem. The pole was dropped as Jack strode along the hallway towards the other, backing the injured man against the wall sobbing. He clutched what was left of his arm to his chest. He placed the barrel of the gun to his forehead. The man whimpered and closed his eyes. "P-please...no..." "Bang." Said Jack, kicking him in the gut sharply and letting him collapse on the floor. It would be a matter of minuted before he'd bleed to death anyway. And he wasn't going anywhere.
Raven knelt down beside Raven, pulling the snare over his head and throwing it aside. He paused to rest his hand between the cat's brows, stroking the soft fur with his thumb and taking a moment to inspect his damage. He wished he'd packed first aid supplies. Maybe he might find some around.
Guyy felt the bullet almost graze him and he tsked. If it were not for the fact he trusted Jack's skills he would have been upset at that. He ended up being to preoccupied anyway, as a woman threw open her bedroom door and brought a knife down on him. Foolish girl. He just bent his spine and sank his teeth into her offered arm. She swallowed roughly and was dead before she hit the ground.
