ok so i finally got around to picking up platinum. i have to say pokemon is still as fun as ever, but i am kind of confused with the multiplayer modes. there is one where you are like in some sort of carnival, and there are trainers there too.

are thos supposed to be real trainers? and whats the point it just seems very random to me. :/ wtf?

The plaza games are just an extra. But most of the trainers in the plaza are real, those with profiles are real.

The plaza games are fun so just have fun.

i wish they would do it so we could have a random room to meet up with random people. i think that would be fun. the friend code system is kinda limiting.

You can chat with people in the plaza confused

Random battles could be a problem. Ubers and all kinds of things would show up.

there was an option titled chat but it was more like choosing a phrase, like with the news people. it wasn't like mic or custom text chatting, which is what kind of disappointed me.

Excuse my assuming friend, but it looks to me that you are trying to find an excuse to view the extra features given as a negative prospect. I can see it limitations, but after all, it can be genuily fun as well its was nice of Nintendo add something to kill time with other than just battling and trading.

I agree. I mean, if you were able to speak with ANYONE..... that could and would be dangerous. Friend codes allow people to speak with people they know for sure. Friend codes ensure safety for children playing in some ways. I love the wifi plaza, it gets old after 10 sessions straight(i know okay) but its like refreshing to compete with others without battling.

Custom Text chatting could too be dangerous, they would have to preset the word filters, have MODERATORS, which we all know would take too much money for nintendo....
