The tome before you belongs to Angmar and Howahkan. There is a seal surrounding the book, one that allows you to leaf through the pages but prevents you from adding anything. The enchantment is strong and cannot be broken so easily, if at all. So just sit back and enjoy the Tall Tale that is unfolding before you. You can visit the Stationery Store to find out how you can write your own Tall Tale.

Quote: Linneas was seated on one of the plush armchairs, gold eyes staring blankly at the wall. He hadn't been in the best of conditions, waking up in the middle of the night, realizing he wasn't in his bedroom. His cheeks had gotten a little hollow and his hair was a little bit of a mess. He was beginning to wonder if he should ask Ning to watch over him while he slept.
Angmar, with a discontent sigh shifted her bag up higher on her shoulder, she'd had a long day, and not so much as one bag of inspiration to show for it. Egypt, it wasn't a difficult topic, and yet, the labor over this quest seemed to be bearing little fruit. She'd gone in countless stores claiming to have the odd, unusual or rare, but none seemed to fit perfectly, none would quite fit in her World Room. It seemed that none would measure up to her standards this day. Had she not paused to look in herself at the window to pull her long auburn hair into a swift pony-tail, she would have passed the humble stationary shop by, and not given it another thought. But for one reason or another, it peaked her interest, and after a moment of lipgnawing, she hesitantly pushed open the door, praying they were still open. She might find something interesting yet.
Linneas stirred at the sound of the shop door opening, shaking himself slightly in order to clear his head, the Tale stood to greet the customer.
"Hello, welcome, can I help you with anything?" he asked with a casual smile.
"Hmm?" Angmar's emerald eyes had been sweeping the shop with curiosity, "Oh, um, papyrus?" she asked absently, obviously more preoccupied with the contents of the store than the inhabitants, "Egyptian papyrus." she clarified, "S'for a project I'm doing at home..." she added with an awkward grin. "Been looking for the stuff all day."
No one would answer Angmar, at least not at that moment. As soon as the woman was far enough inside the Study, the door creaked shut, and locked itself. But that shouldn't be any cause for alarm, unless Angmar had a phobia of small spaces, but that's beside the point.
Her attention would be much more appreciated by the large, leather bount Tome lying atop the writing table.
Angmar blinked curiously, as she found no one, and with a haughty grumble she turned back towards the door, but as she did, something caught her eye. And having apparently entirely forgotten about leaving she floated towards the massive book, touching the cover delicately, "Well, hello to you." she murmured, inspecting it with keen interest. "Havn't seen anyone come through here have 'yeh?" she asked with a slight grin.
The Tome seemed tickled by the attention, its cover suddenly fluttering open. An aged fountain pen rolled out from the spine, stopping just beside a dirt-coated inkwell. Printed in neat calligraphy was the question:
"What do you hear?"
Angmar yanked her hand back with a mouse like 'eep', "Sheeze, You'll have to be the first book that actually talked back." she muttered under her breath, slowly running her hand over her hair. She furrowed a brow in thought, ears straining to hear something, "Uhm... Air?" she asked with a hopeful grin. "Oh, not the answer you were looking for 'hm? Well, I'll have to say your's wasn't either." she muttered, she picked up the pen, inspecting it warily as the book seemed to have a mind of its own who knows what the pen would do, but curiously as she did this, the most peculiar answer to the books rather peculiar question poped into her head, so she gently dipped the pen in the ink, and in her sharp cursive responded:
"The voices of the Dead."
So there book, now, are you going to tell me who opened the door?
Whoever opened the door was going to be the least of Angmar's worries. A soft chuckle seemed to seep into her ear, followed by a sharp, distinct forlorn wail, joined in by a wild, manic shriek. Laughter, sobs, even a monotone speech combined and clashed with each other. The cacophony of voices grew louder and closer, the volume would cause anyone capable of hearing to cover their ears.
And then all of a sudden, the voices ceased. Banished, it seems, by the appearance of the small figure seated atop the writing table.

"Hooooooly--muffins..." Angmar murmured in awe, ears ringing from the maelstrom of sounds. At the sound of her voice, the small child's unseeing eyes shifted to meet her own, with unnerved her nearly as much as his appearance and the white noise preceeding it. "Uhmm... hello..." she muttered, waving in uncertian greeting. Howahkan heaved himself from the table, landing on the floor with a soft 'thud'. "Hello." he greeted monotoniously, as though it were a recording, his eyes were squinted in concentration as he scrutenized the woman. Angmar nodded, swallowing a throat full of bile, "Uhm... what just happened?" she asked nervously. Howahkan simply shrugged, "I was here." he replied, taking a few steps towards Angmar. He closed his eyes and took another step forward, holding out his hand in greeting, "Howahkan." he said simply. "A-Angmar..." she took his hand, though her hands trembled as she did. Suddenly she glanced back at the door, realising that maybe this would make more sense outside. "Uhmm... come on, let's get out of here 'hu?" she offered hopefully, shifting towards the door as she did. Howahkan followed unprotestingly, leaning agianst her knee as though he'd been there all along as they exited the room.
Linneas returned from the stockroom, hands empty and an apologetic look on his face.
"I'm sorry miss, but it seems we've run out of papyrus paper. Oh, hello there," he greeted to Howahkan. "I'm Linneas, and you come out of that room right? Don't forget your Tome."
The teen smiled as he entered and emerged carrying a smaller version of the original Tome, only it was a light brown rather than the old faded color.
Howahkan nodded in confirmation, gently poking Angmar, who was still rather awestruck about the whole thing. He reached out for the leather book, taking it carefully, as he did agian poking Angmar, this time with a little more insistence. Angmar blinked, "He, uhm, Howahkan goes with me?" she asked hesitantly, glancing down at the child and bit her lip, she supposed she'd sleep on the couch until they made arrangements for him... oh well, more shopping tomorrow... With a thought she tugged off her coat and offerd it to the boy, "You'll need this..." she observed, he was hardly dressed for fall. Howahkan took it dutifully, wrapping it around himself like a cape...

When origonally confronted he is very reserved and quiet, offering little information or friendliness, this however is agian because he is trying to gain a mental layout of the person, and once he feels comfortable with them he's very warm and open, however he retains a rather cynical sense of humor. (Img Soon) Name: Angmar Imogen Larz. Nicknames: N/A Birthday: N/A Age: 28 Posting Color: Gold. Gender: Female. Height: 5'9" Weight:140. Complexion: Light. Eyes: Emerald. Hair: Auburn. Clothing: Anything longsleeved. Under no circumstances will she wear short sleeves, weather regardless. Many of her shirts are high collared, or turtle necks, though not all the time. She'll often wear dark colored blue jeans, or brown or black pants, though they are never terribly baggy. Almost all of her shirts are jewel tones, her favourites being green. She's rarely seen without her trusty bag, a khaki messengerbag with countless pockets, and almost as many things inside. Personality: A little eccentric but rarely aloof. She doesn't appear to be employed, almost always hanging around the house doing this and that. (Sometime these activities seeming almost Obsessive Compulsive.) However she's a nightowl, and when the sun sleeps she locks herself away in 'the World Room' doing who knows what, so perhaps she does have a job... As such she only sleeps a couple of hours a day and may seem slightly standoffish or snappy but this rarely lasts long, especially if she's had her coffee.

Which might just not be worth the effort as he can seem almost flippantly oblivious to those around him if he doesn't find them interesting enough. (He and Howahkan should get along great. c.c;;;; )
