A tan lioness lay stretched out with her back legs projected behind her and her front paws loser to her chest. Her belly lie flat against the cool sand from where she had cleared away the sun heated grains there previously. A pink tongue licked the bloodied paws, red with the lifeblood of her latest kill – a small rabbit which she had devoured quickly. The sun, though high in the sky, did not bother the tan female. With a great yawn, she peered around the savanna, green eyes gleaming with mirth.
The grass tickled Mauja's smooth underbelly as he wandered about. He watched the birds fly above him, and it made him wish he could fly like them. The nearby trees he scanned weren't high enough for him to attempt this feat, however, so he kept strolling along.
With the warm air blowing through his fur, his boredom became even more apparent. His mind was rushing around with ideas of things to do, and every rock and stump brought more opportunity. If only he could find something really interesting to do, like jump off a cliff.

The lankiness of the creature walking in her generally direction was amusing to watch. She had never seen a creature such as this one, normally being secluded by her small den area made up of rocks and large tree limbs. She stared at the bark-colored thing for a moment before giving another great yawn. How is it that the sun made one tired? She was always confused by this feat.
Going back to staring at the cheetah, she didn't know what to call out to catch it's attention. She thought for a moment before calling out a simple 'Hey, you!'
You? Who's You? Mauja's mind went blank as he heard the words fly through the air. No one had ever addressed him, so he wasn't used to the expression.
Looking about, he barely noticed the figure that called out to him. If it wasn't for her glimmering eyes, he never would have seen her in the grass. Tilting his head, he trotted close to her, leaning his face in right up next to hers. "You wouldn't be referring to me, would you?" his attitude was almost cocky, and a thought flashed through his head- what would happen if he were to.......
His tongue flashed out of his mouth and Mauja smiled as he licked the lion's nose, drawing it up to her forehead.

She watched the strange lanky creature come up to her and she listened to his question. “I would be referring to you, creature,” She answered with all honesty, smiling likely as she watched him.
Unexpectedly, she felt a wet tongue on her nose the slide all the way up to her crown. The tan lioness giggled – actually giggled – at the sensation. She had never felt something like it. Sure, she had groomed herself before, but she had never felt someone else's tongue upon her body. It tickled and felt strange, all at the same time.
“What are you, strange Creature?” She asked with an undertone of mirth.
Mauja pouted his lip out a little, smirking slightly; although he was expecting a different reaction, he liked this one more. He looked down at his paws, scratching the earth beneath them. "Strange creature?" his bright eyes looked right into the lioness', and he lowered his head to her level to dramatize the effect. "I think that sums me up quite nicely."

Nafsi laughed again, before asking another question. “What shall I call you then?” She asked the cheetah curiously. She normally didn't act like this, which was strange, but this creature amused her so. She could not help but laugh and assert herself. It was... strange.
Biting his lip, Mauja smiled. "Mauja." he rose his head up, titling his chin cooly, eyes flicked down towards the lioness. "What about you, cutie?" A reaction. That's all he wanted. What kind of reaction would he get? Maybe it would be different than his expectations. So far, this lioness has proved to be different.

The compliment was noted first. Nafsi shook her head with a smile. “I'm quite plain, I think. But my name is Nafsiumizu. Pleasure to meet you, Mauja. Call me Nafsi if you need to, my name is rather long...” She answered with a small, almost shy, grin.
Mauja rolled his eyes; he hated such formal introductions. "Enough of that." he leaned in again, this time laying on the earth in front of Nafsi. He leaned in closer, putting his head next to her ear. "What are you doing way out here?" his breathing was heavy, on purpose, to try and arouse some sort of shoked or hateful response.

Nafsi stared into the cheetah's eyes in confusion. "Way out here," She questioned. "I live about here, not too far away," She commented. "BBut is it way out here for you? You don't live around here?" She asked, quickly. This creature wasn't her master - she didn't have one, but could she really ask so many questions?
Moving back to his original distance, Mauja stared at Nafsi blankly. He wasn't really from anywhere, but he considered this far off from where he normally roamed. "Not really, no." he looked around, scanning the scenery. "Although, I think I jumped off of that rock before." he motioned towards a large rock with a deep crevice a few meters off. Rolling onto his back, he looked up at the tan lioness, pawing at her chin.

"You are a very strange creature, Mauja," Nafsi repeated herself. She looked down at the cheetah with only her eyes as he pawed her chin. He could kill her from this position if she would allow it, but this could also be noted as the stance of a submissive. It was hard to think of a male as a submissive, but it wasn't rud to ask, was it? Mother thought it was, but Nafsi was proud to be a submissive.
"Are you... submissive?" She rather doubted he was a master though, and everyone had to be one or the other... right?!
Squinting his eyes a little, Mauja became annoyed. She had ruined his fun by suggesting that; although, she didn't know him, so she couldn't know why he does these sorts of things. "No." quickly, he leaned up, clamping his jaws around her neck with a smile. "Would you want me to be?"

"It would be strange if you were," The lioness spoke. "I've not seen a male submissive in my life, though it would be interesting if you were. You are in a strange position for a master though, and I do hope you won't kill me." She didn't flinch at the feeling of teeth at her neck - the creature had a right after all. She may have offended him.
Letting his smile slip even further, Mauja laughed around her neck, and tugged at her skin before letting go. "Strange? I guess it would be." He rose to a sitting position, licked his lips, smelling the blood on her paws. "So sweet." he leaned down again, running his tongue between her toes, seeking out the taste of blood that he had smelled.

Nafsi spread her toes out so the Cheetah could get to the missed blood easier. "So, I do assume you are a Master then, Mauja. You do quite act more of one than you would a submissive, such as I. Though, I do not know you well enough to determine, I suppose. I did not mean to offend you with my question, though."
Mauja glanced up at Nafsi; his eyes met coldly with hers. "I don't get offended." his voice had lost its boyancy briefly, but it soon returned. "So what's with you and masters?" he rose from the ground, pushing himself into Nafsi's chest, stepping on her paws so she couldn't move.

Nafsi was slightly taken aback, and she shuddered lighty. "I have never had a Master, Mauja. No one wants me - I am too plain. Unworthy. I had to leave my Pride because of my Ideals. I was raised to be a submissive, though I was raised to be too weak and banished with hopes of my ill survival."
She was shaking, angry and confused. She had never showed such emotion, simply smiling and waiting for someone to come by and overcome her - to take her as a slave and to be happy about it. She never spoke of her past, she only hoped for a future - who knew such a question would evoke such an answer.
"Uh-huh......" Mauja flexed his paws on her forelegs. "Intriguing." he leaned his head in and tugged playfully at a tuft of fur on the top of her head. "Someone needs to loosen up a bit; have some fun. You can't have a master if you're boring all the time, now can you?"

"No one will want me if I'm uncontrollable either, will they?" She question with a whisper. She had never questioned anything. Just... wait. No one ever came her way, so what was she to do... Besides the little wild dog, who could not be her master - she was too small and emotional, though she would make a better master in the future, she assumed.
"What is fun?" She asked with complete seriousness. She was never allowed to have fun, so when she grew older, she never did anything reckless after that. Nothing 'fun.'
Laughing out, Mauja found it hystarical that the creature that sat before him could speak like that with all seriousness. He leaned in again, crouching in front of her. "I like 'em wild." backing up, he trotted a few feet away from her. "Maybe you should get out away from this tree; it's too damn depressing."

Nafsi's eyes showed shock, green eyes widening. She pulled herself up quickly andstarted after the brown male. 'W-wait,' she was almost at a state of panic.
"Come come now, before I carry you." Mauja twirled as he walked, weaving in the grass.

Nafsi trailed behind him, weaving through the grass, letting it brush against her sides. They tickled - she had never noticed before. She pushed herself forward, to be at least at his thigh as she kept up.
"Aww, so I guess you don't want to be carried then, do you?" Mauja laughed as he pictured himself carrying Nafsi. Although she wasn't fat by any means, his slender figure probably couldn't take that much weight on it. "So, do you want to go raid some dog dens?" he smirked slyly; he loved raiding dens, taking off with a pup or two then dropping them off a few yards from the den.

"Raiding dog dens?" she questioned. What was that supposed to do? What was the purpose. What would they do. No food was in them, usually, and dog cubs were... she couldn't eat one.
"It's fun." Mauja stopped, smelling the air for any nearby dens. "You don't need to have a purpose for everything; if that was true, I think I'd be dead." he started to trott down the slope that he had stopped at, headed towards a scent.
Nearing a den, he stooped low; this was one of the only times anyone would see him being serious. While it was a game to him, it let him practice his stalking technique, which had become quite amazingly good. He leaned over to Nafsi, licking the inside of her ear. "Follow me." he whispered softly, then headed towards the entrance of the den.

The lioness crouched, looking into the den. She felt Mauja's tongue in the shell of her ear and shivered with the whisper he gave her. She followed into the entrance. She glancing in at the small pups. They could get hurt... What if they were her own cubs, the ones she wanted to have. The pit of her stomach was sinking, if felt odd, a feeling she had never had before.
But she listened anyways.
Mauja glanced back and saw a worried expression come across Nafsi's face. "Don't worry, it's not like we're going to hurt them or anything." he didn't quite know what she was thinking, but he thought it best to make it clear what they were doing.
Moving further in, he looked around for the mother; she had been in the corner, and was now running at him. Taking on an unusually rough attitude, Mauja jumped on the mother, snarling wildly. "Hurry up!" he spat quickly, trying to urge Nafsi to grab one. Usually, when it had just been him, he would sneak in quickly, make what he'd done known, then he'd run out as fast as he could.
He knocked the female back a few feet, turned, and grabbed a pup as he ran out the door.
