Each summon has their own special land in which they train not only themselves in the ancient art of sage mode but also their original summoner and the student of said summoner. It is here that you will find the wise dog Thrashkun teaching those dogs worthy of such power and occasionally the summoners. This is said to be the greatest place of power to the dogs, and it is no more than numerous canyons with a large river swimming through it. The river branches off through out the canyon and forms small waterfalls that contain properties which allow one to gather natural energy in order to form sage chakra.

A large cloud of smoke suddenly enveloped the area closest to one of the small waterfalls branching off of the large river which ran through out the entire mass of canyons which produced what was known well to the dogs as their sage land, or place of power. Here was where Ryoku would be trained in the art of sage mode, taught first how to gather the natural energy which lingered all around him as well as how to maintain that natural energy and use it in ways almost unimaginable to normal ninja's in the shinobi world. One might say the power could even be compared to the tailed beasts which sometimes roamed the shinobi world looking for places to wreak havoc upon. However Ryoku still remained ignorant of all this, lacking even the slightest clue as to what would be taken place here, what had been taking place here, and in general what this place, where Thrashkunt he elder dog had taken him, was even called. Of course he'd be filled in by Thrashkun, such was expected for with out a thorough explanation Ryoku lacked the ability to even start upon this amazingly difficult string of training and exercises he'd need to preform in order to learn sage mode and take use of the dog's true power as their original summoner...
"This place is known to us dog's as our sage lands, for it is here where we train and pass down the art of sage mode. It is my duty as the elder dog to teach you of this power and how to use it properly...I'll tell you now that learning this power and how to use it is no simple feat. In fact you'll find this to be the hardest and most dangerous training you'll ever face in your life. That I can assure you." Thrashkun said, continueing on about the benifits of sage mode and what it exactly gave ability wise. He lingered most upon what was called natural energy, stating that it was the energy of that which surrounded us. It was produced by the trees, the earth, the sky, even the smallest insect which scurried across the dry earth they both now stood upon. He told Ryoku of how by gathering this natural energy one would take use of it only by balancing it with the energies which the individual gathering it already possesed. He made sure to specify that it was the key part in taking use of sage mode, for by balancing out this natural energy with both the spiritual energy and physical energy which you possesed in your body you could form sage chakra. There by allowing the use of some of the most dangerous and some of the strongest techniques in the ninja world...however he made it appparent that if Ryoku was to improperly gather the natural chakra he would be turned into a stone dog...

"I could die doing this type of training?!" Ryoku questioned, alarmingly loud. Thrashkun of course nodded but then quickly added right after that. "You could indeed, which is why we'll be proceeding with this training very, very carefully....however with me around the chances of you actually dieing from turning into a stone dog is slim to none..." Then after he quickly padded over toward the small waterfall gesturing for Ryoku to follow behind him. As he did Thrashkun once more spoke up this time informing him about the water and the properties said water possesed. He made it clear that Ryoku would begin by taking use of this water, and that it would start his long and extenious training which would end with Ryoku having learned all about the sage mode of the dogs as well as ending with his mastery of said power. Of course Ryoku only hoped it wouldn't take too long. After all he needed to return back to Hatori to end the life of the snake king manda once Pakkun discovered his summoners location. For now though he would comply with this training. After listening to Thrashkun he was told to dab some of the water on his forehead and remain eerily still. He did as he was told but not five seconds later he began to morph into a dog. It was then that Thrashkun quickly licked him leaving a trail of slober on the side of his cheek. However it had atleast stopped him from potentially dieing...

"Ugh! That was gross!" Ryoku said, whipping the slober from the side of his face, there by dampening his sleeve. The dog nodded and smiled. "Better than you turning into a stone carved in to resemble a dog..." He replied, before then speaking up once more in a questioning tone of voice. "...but did you feel it? The natural chakra? Did you feel it being soaked into your body from all around you?" Ryoku paused, tilting his head up and bringin his hand to his chin and the other holding the elbow of his opposite arm propping it up in that position. It happened to be a pose used most commonly when thinking. Ryoku's case was no different, for he was presently trying to recall all which he'd felt whilst the odd water had come in contact with him. His memory was shrouded though, or rather all he could really remember clearly was turning partially into a dog and freaking out before being licked by the elder dog Thrashkun. However he did recall a small, unique sensation that happened specifically where the water had come in contact with him, more specifically known as his forehead. None the less he recalled such a sensation. "Yeah, now that you mention it I did!" He said excitedly.
"Good, now remember that sensation." The dog replied, before gesturing for Ryoku to once more take use of the water which allowed him to not only feel but gather the natural energy which was presently all around him. At first Ryoku was slightly hesitent at actually taking use of the water, pausing do to the slight fear of once more turning partially into a dog but that of course faded with in seconds. After which time he once more took use of the water and began to draw in the natural energy all around him. Beginging to do this by concentrating on ammount, for he was trying not to pull in too much natural energy and begin the process of the dog and stone transformation which would lead to yet another slobbery lick. That only reminded him of how many licks from dogs he'd actually attained since he'd become the sage of dogs. The answer to that question prooved to be quite frightening by the end of the day. Infact by the day afer the number had risen even further, and that answer was even more frightening than the first...sadly enough. However it was infact that specific time which he had caculated such a thing when he'd actually mastered the use of the water used to gather the natural energy. Meaning he was one step closer to completeing this training, but also another day shorter from the time he had before needing to return...

"So after about a day straight of work you finally managed to master using the water perfectly. You were able to gather great amounts of the natural energy around you and balance that energy with your spiritual and physical energies partially. Well to the point that you were one step short of sage mode I suppose..." The dog went on, commenting upon all he'd done and really just ranting on and on about basically all and everything he'd already told Ryoku in the begining. However it was not so much a rant as it were a lecture, for in reality he was just simply making sure Ryoku was well aware of all that was which made up the Sage mode, ect. Which happened to include it's limits, abilities, and definatly the most important...the dangers. For Ryoku had already learned first hand by experiencing what could happen by gathering the natural energy around him. It was a risk he was willing to take though, that was clear. For even after the elder dog had finished he merely gestured for the dog to finally get to showing him the next step. However to his own dismay he instead told Ryoku to rest, and sleep for a long while before continueing. Ryoku hesitated before doing so but Thrashkun quickly told him that if he didn't have his full strength then he would lack the ability to actually take that next step toward mastering sage mode...
It was mid afternoon when Ryoku finally awoke, sitting up from the crystal bed he'd composed, using his shirt as a pillow. You see out here, in the canyons, it was unbearably hot out and sleeping with out a shirt on was not something unusual but something expected. That was all besides the point though, for once Ryoku had risen he quickly pulled on his shirt and walked back toward the small waterfall where he and Thrashkun had previously trained at. It was there where he found Thrashkun waiting for him. The elder dog though was sitting there though, still and completely silent. The dog was to the pint where Ryoku was actually wondering whether he was sleeping. Of course the dog answered that quickly by flashing open his eyes and smiling. Ryoku nodded and tilted the corners of his lips up to form a smile in return. Walking over toward the dog he immediatly questioned what Thrashkun had been doing, and it was then when he replied. "Gathering natural energy to form sage chakra...which is what you'll be doing today." The dog said, gesturing for Ryoku to take a seat before him. Once doing so the dog continued by explaining what exactly Ryoku would be doing. Which happened to be not so different from what he'd previously beeen donig with the water just, well minus the water...

Ryoku sighed, exhailing deeply as he continued to attempt to draw in the natural energy around him....to his own dismay he was failing miserably at doing so even though he'd now been doing this for a good half a day..."I can't get the hang of it. I've been sitting here for hours and still nothing. Theres only so much patience one person can have before they hit they're breaking point ya know..." Ryoku said, slightly frustrated at the fact he was failing so very badly at learning and mastering this part of his training. "Never took you for the type of shinobi to just give up..." Thrashkun began, shaking his head at Ryoku. "This is the hardest part of the training and its going to take some time. Try and recall the sensation you experienced when the natural energy was being drawn in toward you. It sometimes help with you beginers..." He said, and so Ryoku sighed before doing as he'd been suggested to do. Taking the elder dog's advice he crossed his legs once more, forming the boar handsign as he attempted to become completely still so he could draw in the natural energy to form the sage chakra and there by enter sage mode.
Ryoku attempted to do so for what seemed to be several more hours before finally exhibiting even the slightest hint of achieving any outcome to this training. For as he sat theree he exhailed and once he did he paused for an instance and the sensation suddenly appeared in a brief flash before it faded as he inhailed once more. He smiled in victory before he quickly motioned to continue this training. Thrashkun obviously noticed this brief victory in his teachings, for he commented upon it soon after. "Thats good, keep it up and you'll have mastered this part of the training in no time." He commented, however Ryoku did not answer. He was far too busy trying to concentrate on getting this part of the training mastered just as Thrashkun had commented. However that was far ahead of him for now, he'd only now experienced a short and very brief experience of it. However he would cling to such an experience in order to finally master it. So he again continued. Sitting there oh so very still, motionless really. It was then when he finally seemed to gain the hang of it, but not nearly to the extent neccesary. Meaning he still had a long way to go before he could truely master the sage mode....a very very long way to go...

"Im finally getting the hang of it!" Ryoku exclaimed loudly, his voice echoeing through out the surrounding area as he did. "Good, keep it up!" Thrashkun answered, mentally commenting upon Ryoku's succes as well. I can see the natural energy drawing in toward him. He's really getting the hang of this...and fast too! Ryoku returned to the training though, however Thrashkun had suggested for him to gather it in a less than simplistic way. Standing upon the balls of his feet and reaching his arms up toward the sky upon a thin arc of stone that stood near the entrance way to the small gathering in which they'd been training in. This was where he'd be practicing complete stillness. Through that he'd be able to gather the natural energy around him with even further ease, and after gathering it in a position such as that...well the possibilities were near endless. Or so he thought. None the less he continued in that position, of course it had obviously taken a while for him to finally find his center and become completely still like the stone which formed the very canyon they stood with in. However with in a few hours time Ryoku had mastered even this section of the training. As his eyes flashed open he couldn't help but smile in victory. He could now properly gather the natural energy around him with out the water.

"Now that you've mastered the final aspect to this part of the training involving gathering natural energy it's time to move on to the last part of this training....entering sage mode!" Ryoku nodded slowly in agreement with Thrashkun's statement. He himself was rather shocked at how fast this training seemed to be going. Well considering what he was attaining through the training he was suprised by the little amount of time it was taking. He had only been training with Thrashkun here for around three days time and now he'd completed half the training required so far to actually master sage mode. Which considering what sage mode really was happened to be quite the feat even for the most skilled shinobi. However there was still more left for him to do in order to finally master sage mode, and so he moved on toward the next step. Meaning he would now practice entering sage mode, not just gathering natural energy and balancing his three energies, spiritual, physical, natural...
Moving toward another section of area with in the dense forest of canyon stone and passageways through out the canyons which they presently weaved through out Ryoku found himself in a new place. Or another part of the place which he was currently located. For rather than being next to a small water fall he found himself presently located to the left of a incredibly wide river matching it's width only with it's unbelievable depth. He even found it quite remarkable and really very unlikely that a river of this magnitude was able to run through the canyons like it presently did with out causeing more damage. Instead it just branched off into small riveres that formed miniature waterfalls like the one he had trained with. However if that water which poured from the waterfall was able to draw in the natural energy around him he wondered whether this mass source of water which it was created from would do just the same. He hoped not because he was just dying to dive right in and relax. However Thrashkun answered that question with a no, thankfully. "You see, those waterfalls are pouring special water that branches off from this river but goes through special seals to gain that particular property which allows us to train the new comers in a simpler way rather than having them just start up with such a difficult training method."
Thrashkun gestured for Ryoku to take a seat before him, in order for him to explain what this next portion of the training would contain. However this was nothing new to Ryoku, in fact it was a process Ryoku had grown quite accustom to for Thrashkun had done this exact same thing before Ryoku had gotten to actually practicing and attempting to master the portion of the training or the next step in the training. And so Ryoku took his seat just before Thrashkun and focused his attention soley upon Thrashkun and only Thrashkun, listening so intesnly that he would not foget even the smallest whisper the dog elder uttered. He needed to know exactly, and by exactly he meant exactly, how to enter sage mode perfectly with ease to match even the elder dog himself...however with the time he was alotted that seemed a little far off base but it atleast gave him a goal to work toward. A goal he was not about to let slip from his grasp with out giving one hell of a fight, after all if he didn't that wouldn't make him him. Ryoku was a natural fighter, and nothing was gonna change that. Not now, not ever!
After listening to Thrashkun's seemingly endless lecture upon the basics of sage mode and how to enter, especially the balancing of the energies, Ryoku had a pretty decently composed idea of how to enter and maintain this sage mode. This power, a power he knew he could use to increase every one of his stats according to Thrashkun. "Sage mode is no simple means of strength or technique, your gathering unimaginable power by balancing your spiritual, natural, and physical energies. In fact it increases everyone of your stats tenfold...and in your particular case your speed more specifically. Try having speed to match the 6 tailed beast, no one will even posses the slightest ability of keeping up with you. Not in sage mode atleast, but first boy you need to actually learn how to enter sage mode and maintain it properly..." The flahsback ended and Ryoku was once more in a sitting position, legs crossed, indian style, and attempting to place himself into sage mode. At first oh so very unsuccesfully. First though he required some natural energy, and needed to balance said energy along with his other two energies to first take the step toward entering sage mode.
After a few hours Ryoku finally seemed to be getting the hang of balancing his three energies, spiritual, physical, and natural. He'd been sitting in the same exact position for hours on end doing no more than simply breath and even that had been limited. Although breathing seemed to lack any large difference in his ability to gather natural energy now after he'd trained for so long. Now he could gather natural energy with real ease, it was balancing it with his other energies that had proved to be the section of his training that was the most difficult. Knock on wood He thought, praying that this was the hardest part of the training and that he would actually have sage mode mastered even sooner than he'd hoped. For he didn't want to think of how much longer this would take and how much longer he'd be leaving Litany with out a sannin as well as leaving Hatori waiting too. In fact by training with Thrashkun he'd been keeping alot of people waiting. He only hoped he wouldn't keep them waiting any longer. Again returning his mind to training he found himself finally balanced, his enter body so completely...tranquil almost. It was then when the words rang through the air, produced from Thrashkun. "You've done it, I can see it now! You've entered sage mode!" His eyes flashed open and Ryoku now stared intensly at Thrashkun, his eyes that of dogs but the rest of his body completely human. He was one of the few true sages!

His lips tilted into a neat smile that spread over to cover his entire face as he grinned wildly at the statment Thrashkun had just made. Had he truely entered sage mode? Had his training finally paid off? It was almost too hard to truely grasp the concept. Although he still managed to do so, he wouldn't stand for being ignorant of anything, and this was all to obvious anyways. However he couldn't help but question it still, even when he could feel the power and strength coursing through out his entire body. He could in fact actually feel the chakra sources around him, but still lacked the true ability to locate its exact position. None the less he could feel the chakra and energy around him, especially his own. "Did I really? Have I truely entered sage mode?" Ryoku asked, his tone unquestionably serious. He really needed to hear it, to actually here the word yes and the description of what he'd actually done, and in such a short amount of time too. It was unheard of, truely just unheard of. Of course sage mode in general was uncommon anyways so not many people even knew about the power in general...
"Yes, you have. What more is you havn't even taken on any traits of the dogs besides the eyes, a mark of the true sage of dog's. You are one of the few gifted with the ability to actually take use of this power in such away...do not take this lightly." Thrashkun said in response however it was clear he had much more to elaborate upon sage mode. More specifically about how his training would not so simply end with him just having learned how to enter sage mode. He still lacked the ability to take real use of the ability. Meaning he still had some training ahead of him. "You've finally finished your training to enter sage mode and in a way that I truely did not expect. None the less you did, but your training with me does not end there my boy. You know how to enter sage mode but you still dont know how to use it, which is the entire point of learning how to enter it. So we will spend the next day training how to use sage mode to the best of your abilities. I believe I already informed you of the benifits but lets go over them once more shall we? I think hat would be best and most benefitial to get it there fresh in your mind."
After speaking on and on about the benifits of sage mode and the specific ways it would prove to serve him well should he take use of it properly they moved onto actually practicing it. The major points they were going to practice and train upon were the speed, strength, and in general other phyical ability increase sage mode allowed. First though they would begin with the speed training. He would do so by racing some of the other dogs here presently with in the canyon, and once he truely attained mastery of the speed he would race against Thrashkun to prove his mastery over the speed. And so he began, racing first with a large dog roughly about his size, possesing similar atire to most of the other dogs. Which included a blue bandanna with a sketch of some sort of insignea on the back. For he never truely got a good look at the dog's back. Instead the dog got a good look at his own, for Ryoku had managed to stay ahead of the dog through out the length of the race, never once falling behind him. His speed had dramatically increased, beyond what he had even suspected or dreamed up in his dizziest day-dream. After that he raced a few more dogs who seemed to grow speed wise with the defeat of the previous one.
Finally he moved on to defeat enough dogs that he thought he'd proved himself fast enough to defeat even Thrashkun, the elder dog and no doubt the wisest of all the dogs who were able to be summoned by Ryoku. So when he did request a race with Thrashkun he proved himself quite the competitor, for the two were undoubtably equal for much of the race and for a while it seemed as if there would be no more than a simple tie occuring at the end of the race....however it was Ryoku who pulled ahead to win. His speed so drastically increased it was unmatched by any other ninja alive with in the shinobi world, inffact this he knew for a fact. Thrashkun had told him so that it would take the 6 tailed beast to match his speed whilst in sage mode, a fact he would certainly use to his advantage. However with his speed training finished and mastered he moved on to strength training in order to take use of his incredible strength sage mode provided him with. Strength also unheard of among normal ninja, yet another fact and advantage he would definatly use to the best of his abilities. When it came to strength training though he found himself throwing boulders of various sizes.
Beginning with some of the smaller bouderls he worked his way up to some of the largest boulders with in the local vicinity, using his incredible speed to find the boulders in split seconds really. Meaning his training was taking less and less time with each passing moment. Which would lead to him returning back to cloud even sooner. Although it was still evident that he'd been gone some time. Infact he suspected that the chuunin exams had already begun, which saddened him slightly due to the prospect of him having lacked the ability to have actually been there to assist his partner in crime, also known as Litany or the present day kumokage. However that was besides the point, for as his training progressed his strength did as well, which also meant his exhausten and draining of energy seemed to grow as well, to his own dismay of course. None the less he continued, however his strength training had finished after a rather short period of time compared to his other training. After completing that training he moved on to the other training exercises. Which meant he'd also moved on to training the taijutsu aspect of the dog stlye sage mode. A taijutsu style which prooved to be quite unique compared to other taijutsu style's he'd witnessed. Once finished with the numerous training exercises he had truely mastered sage mode...

"So i've finally finished with mastering sage mode?" Ryoku asked questioningly. "Yes, but there are some things you should know...like how you wont be able to sit still long enough during a fight to actually gather enough natural energy in order to enter sage mode...." Thrashkun responded, padding along the dry earth along the bank of the large river, Ryoku following him close by his side.
"Wait, so whats the point of me actually learning it if im not gonna be able to use it during a fight? Yeah I can always just prepare before one but im not gonna have a heads up or a warning usually before im engaged by an enemy." Ryoku said, and following his question came an answer produced by Thrashkun. "The truth is, thats exactly right. Unless you have an ally near by to buy you time, with out one your done for...but thats what you've got me for." He said with a smile.
After that Thrashkun continued to lecture on about how that would work, for at first Ryoku had only thought he'd simply summon Thrashkun to defend or attack his enemy while he proceeded to gather enough natural energy and focus enough of actually enter sage mode. However he quickly clarified upon that factor, informing Ryoku of how they would preform a fusion so one or the other could gather the natural energy whilst the remaining one of them moved to engage the enemy...
So after explaining what exactly they would be doing, in detail for again Ryoku had assumed by fusion that he would be transformed into half dog or something, however again Thrashkun clarified upon that small fact. Now that he had explained it and Ryoku understood 100 % what they would be trying to do exactly they began to attempt an actual fusion. Begining with Thrashkun jumping up on his shoulder and both of them clapping their hands together in order to focus.
At first the two seemed to fail completely at the fusing themselves together, for it started with but a single one of Thrashkun's feet actualy melding into Ryoku's shoulder, however by the end of their training they had nearly mastered the fusion with one another completely. The small elder dog easily fitting upon his shoulder. However that was mainly due to a simple transformation jutsu, for with out one Thrashkun would have easily weighed Ryoku down and made fighting, defending, and avaiding all the more difficult. However by the end of it they seemed to have mastered the training. Allowing Ryoku to finally return to cloud!...

Qastor arrived in the Dog sage lands nothing but the scroll on his back, a rather nostalgic moment as Thrashkun sat in front of him, he surmised temporary peace as he observed the land scape.
Thrashkun looked up at Qastor for a moment and then spoke in an uncertain tone of voice,"Its about time you showed up, I thought you would never come back."

Qastor looked down at Thrashkun for a moment then blinked,"Im guessing you can figure out why I came back here, so shall we get started and not waste any time."
Thrashkun turned his head to the right a little adjusting to Qastors state of mind,"what has changed you so, the reason you would be here is to learn sage mode techniques passed down through us Im afraid I could not teach you in such a state of stress."

"Before we start this I have matters Id like to attend to while we are training," as he said this he made three seals one fusing star chakra with his own normal ice doll. Creating a clone similar in origin to the flesh clone but with the stability and chakra reserves of and ice doll, the thing left limping abruptly a horrid creation as it exited the sage lands all together.

Qastor had only just begun his training with Thrashkun before he started to feel the effects of his jutsu, it would be some time before it would end but for now he could work with it. He began to focus his full and lighter attention on the dog elder and soon he was ready to hear what he had to say. Thrashkun stared blankly at the man he was in pain which was evident, he not only had higher senses but he had a sixth sense per say as well. As the paws made contact a seal spread across his back, several layers of tetragrams repeated to constantly suck out all of his chakra. Needless to say it did not feel too good, he was out of chakra before he expected it, and soon the seal was drawing on his Star chakra. The seal didnt expect this or wasnt built for it as Thrashkun put a second trigram seal on it similar to the jinchuurikis various seals in order to retrieve it all.
"My god I never knew you had so much chakra, the Okazi chakra in you, to be specific, is quite abundant, I dont think Ive ever met an Okazi with as much pure chakra as you." He examined Qastors fatigued body and smiled as he slapped him on the back,"Well regardless looks like youre all dry now ! The process for gaining sage mode is rarher simple.... well for me it is, all you must do is learn to take in natural chakra from your surroundings instead of using your own. This will increase your power ten fold, maybe even to that of a bijuu if you use it properly, regardless this will be no small quick task like learning Ninjutsu."
The slap on the back almost knocked him face first into the ground as he was almost too weak to stand, this did not matter for his training. He listened to Thrashkuns words and began to concentrate and search for anyway to absorb natural chakra, he didnt know how but at least in meditation he looked like he knew what he was doing. "So to absorb natural chakra my strength will be increased and I will be able to obtain sage mode. Now I can see why you drained my body so it would be easier to absorb chakra and Id have more room to fill with this natural chakra."

He straightened himself and resumed his instructions,"now, you wont be able to do it simply by meditating, to get a feel for it you must first use these oils here. This oil has special properties designed exactly for absorbing natural chakra and making it easier, think of the way you first used your ninjutsu in the academy. Well simply we are started from square one, welcome back to chakra control and release 101 kid," that said Thrashkun began to apply the oil all over Qastors body seeing he could not.
