 Spring was here, and easter wasn't far away, he'd never celebrated it, but it was supposed to be fun he was told.
The sun was finally out after it's long winter slumber and it shined on his back warming him. He slowly placed his muzzle on the ground nipping at the grass, sad that winter was going but glad it wasn't summer.

 The walk was long and Flik was getting thirsty. But these lands were new to him he would have to find someone to ask for directions or just continue walking on until he stumbles upon some drinkable water. He was beginning to curse his bad luck when he spotted a stallion. He smiled for it seemed this was his lucky day after all. He steeped closer to great the stranger.
'' Hello there. I'm sorry to disturb you but could you tell me where I could find some water? ''

Akuba herd the stranger approach, he'd never seen another soquili in two legger clothes, but he didn't stare, he just smiled.
"Well, their is a river to the east of here, just before you arrive at the kawani village, if you head further east then you'll arive at a lake, but when at the lake be carful, there are many kelpi in there, I think your best bet is the river, and the lake is okay if you want company. Not all kelpi are bad, it's just the myth is that they pull youngsters into the water, not all of them are the friendliest of folk, it depends who you bump into."
Akuba looked at the stranger in the eyes this time,"I have a teepee by the river, so, yeh, I should know where they'd be water."

Flik blinked few times. He wasn't expecting so much information at once. And what was that about kelpi?! He never heard of something like that.
'' Ok so river is east not far from here. Thank you for the information. ''
Flik prepared to take leave and search for this river he just heard of. But then stopped surprised he didn't know where east was.
'' Um... and east would be in which direction? ''

"You're heading deeper into this forest, so from her you'd have to keep heading left",Akuba nodded,"It shouldn't take you too long to get there, with a good run it'd only take 20 mins to half an hour, good luck on your journey, my names Akuba by the way."
This other stallion spiked alot of interest in Akuba, but he didn't want to bother him, he'd only rather just say what he though the other stallion wanted to hear and just keep quiet.
The swod must be heavy, why would a soquili need one?
He slipped into a day dreamy state, think of him waving the sword around fighting against a kalona.

Flik looked in the direction Akuba was talking about. So he still had a fair way to cross better he continues.
'' Oh... right... well thank you again Akuba. ''
When he turned to him it seemed as if the stallion wasn't listening while his eyes seemed distant. He recognized that look he was daydreaming so he just smiled for this was something he himself did a lot. It seemed as if he was looking at something so Flik followed his eyes and fount himself staring at his sword. No wonder it wasn't a sight you see every day.
'' Since you introduced you're self it would be nice for me to do the same. My name is Flik. ''
He looked at the stallion once more now in no such hurry as at first. He spent so much time alone it could be nice to talk to someone for a change.

Aku snapped out of his trance.
Well flick just flicked my daydream switch.
"Flik, what a nice name, is it spelt F-L-I-C-K?"
Must've been great to have a cloak like Flik's.
Akuba wondered weather he was born with the clothes or found them,
although he didn't ask, in fear of appearing to be simple or stupid.
Akuba's tail was metres behind him, it was so long, i needed to be trimmed soon, because he didn't like the feel of it always dragging on the floor and catching on things.

Flik couldn't help not to feel like the spelling remark wasn't so innocent as one would think but he let it pass. Solitude can sometimes make one less picky. He looked little around the place was nice and grass was nicely green. looked very delicious.

"Yes, I walk to this forest everyday, the pains are to far away, my food mostly comes from this forest or near the river, apparently it's not as pretty as the Ceryeni lands, but it's bigger",Aku nodded,"I'd really would've wanted to visit that forest if it hadn't turned out to be so dangerous."

Flik peaked hie ears like it would help him gather better information about this new subject. He had heard this name somewhere but couldn't get any good information on what was it about. He smiled from inside for his decision to stay and chat with Akuba gave positive results. He was about to learn something new.

"Oh, yes. If you'd like",Akuba regarded Flik,"The Ceryeni are a type of soquili who look quite like deer, short tails and males have antlers and they have trotters instead of hooves. Long ago they used to live in these lands, but they found somewhere better to live. They have only recently emigrated over here again, apparently because their lush forest burnt down. There aren't many round but you'll see some here and there."
Akuba hoped this information was useful, to Flik.

So it seemed he would stay here little longer than he originally planed. And it wouldn't be bad to have some company. Since he didn't know anyone from around here Akuba was perfect for that role. After all he lived here and knew this place very well.
'' So I was wondering since I'll be staying here for awhile could I bother you while I'm here? I don't know anyone here. ''
He's thirst came back. And it was about time he finds that river.
'' Would you come with me to the river? Of course if you're done here. Or I'll just come back here when I quince my thirst. ''
