Winter was once more shifting toward the slightly warmer climates of spring. The transition this time was calmer to the dark coated mare then when she first moved to the southern lands. The steady driping of snow from the branches of her shelter awakened the mare with a chilly start. Shaking her head, her evergreen locks swayed and bounced over her shoulders before the mare started pulling herself to her hooves.
"That was cold," The mare muttered as she shook again, her words being said to the trees. "Can't someone have a late wake up call?" Her answer was more cold drops of water upon her frost colored back, "I will take that as a no."
Shaking her head, Alaska stepped out from under the trees, expecting a brutal wind, but remembered that she wasn' in the north anymore. The sun was warm over her back, drying her coat and warming her all over. A small smile came over her face as she moved on, the snow was retreating as it sloshed beneath her hooves. Spring, a season she had yet to meet, but as to the feeling she was getting, it was much calmer then the summer she had met a while back.
"Now, for something to eat, there should be some shoots around..." Lowering her head, her muzzle just about touched the ground as she searched, her snow white eyes remained closed and in some why looking like she was sleep walking.

Akuba had been up quite a while, ever the early bird. Spring was his second favorite season, he was sad that the winer was leaving, but happy it wasn't summer. Not too hot,not to bright or dark. Boredom riffled through Akuba's head, he wanted to create a bit of mischief or meet someone new, so he went looking for one or the other and he found a blue and green soquili mare, he didn't try and sneak up on her he just trotted up to her without thinking about the danger of any strangers, mare or stallion, regular or kalona.

She felt the vibrations under her hooves and through her muzzle, long before the sounds and smells hit her. Someone was heading her way, ears perching themselves forward atop her head, the mare rose up some and stopped moving. Tail twitching behind her, she waited and listened, trying to deturmine what was coming her way, it sounded like a stallion. The hooves were heavier then a mare's, her steps were light and so weren't those that she had met before.
"Hello?" her voice came forth as she didn't alter where her face was pointing. "Who might be out this fine morning?"
True she didn't really know the time of day, but from the warmth on her back, Alaska could figure that it was about late morning at the very least. Pawing at the ground a little, her head turned ever slowly toward the side where the visitor was approaching upon.

"Hello, I am Akuba",Akuba grinned,"do you mind if I join you?" He flicked back his mane out of his face, and started to n** at the grass. That mare was very pretty, nice shades of blue and green, very rich in colour. The grass was sweet and some of it was tickling his muzzle, he laughed and blew at the grass.
His tail was still metres behind him, he need to get it trimmed because it was getting way too long.
