It had been a long time since he was so tired. From dawn, he had been fighting the animated. Pink feathers still clung to him from a clash with a flock of flamingos and he could swear he could taste a bit of those mushroom cannons. Where was this stuff even coming from? He didn't know, hell, no one knew - but he did know that the body laying beside him in bed was warm and the night was too cold to face on his usual side of the bed. Hesitantly, he found himself nestled against the bare flesh of the already slumbering fawn. The boys rhythmic breathing, the scent of the forest, and the sensation of the metal bell on his chest sharing their warmth was enough to overcome the stress of the day and welcome him into the night. Eilender closed his eyes and surrendered to it, falling into a deep, restful slumber.

Penterino nuzzled gently against Eilender in his sleep but besides that did not stir. Meanwhile, the Prince's soul was slowly pulled up and out of his body, the ghostly relic around his neck following. He was soon floating a ways above his own slumbering self and before the blonde was a door. It didn't exactly belong there - floating in the middle of his room - and yet here it was. And at this door, the bell upon his throat softly rang, indicating he should go towards it.

Eilender was, understandably, confused. What was the door doing there? And how was it even supposed to work that way?! The boy walked around the door frame once, examining it carefully. Was this the new life? Was the bell chiming because it was going to be born into a door?! How was he supposed to raise a door?!! The boy moaned softly and shook his head a little, placing his hand on it and patting it gently. "There there, I'm sure I can love a door...in time...?"

The bell kept ringing, and seemed to try to be tugging him at the door's handle. Maybe, just maybe he was interpreting the signs wrong? Wouldn't have Cami warned him if he were raising a door?

Ok, so maybe he had his signs crossed. A wave of relief washed over him as the bell indicated it was in fact not a door and that he may have a child yet in there. Taking the handle, he opened it gently, peering inside to see what was waiting behind it.

The prince was drawn in through the door magically and it vanished behind him, leaving the man in what looked like a large plush room. The thing was all of the cushy furniture was out in the middle of a lovely open field. Upon the big soft couch there lay.......a cloak? Yes a white hooded poncho type thing. It seemed to be in a shape as if an invisible person were wearing it, but touching anywhere around the cloak to find them proved there was none. Oh well, the bell seemed to be ringing again. Maybe this was the one he needed to touch and claim as his child?

The prince approached the seating arrangement and bowed to the...person? It was only polite and he felt more than awkward presenting his mannerism to an empty cloak. He wound up sitting beside it and looking over it with an odd mixture of varying emotions, the predominant being befuddlement. Whatever the thing was, the bell was nearly driving him mad with its ringing to go ahead and touch the invisible being, so timidly he reached out to lay a hand on its "shoulder". "Excuse me?"

As he touched the cloak, it began to glow, as did the relic. Shooting from his neck into the mass of light forming in and around the cloak, the creature soon started to shrink. When the glowing stopped, there was seated before him a small fluffy cow girl with large soft eyes and an adorable countenance. She looked warmly up at Eilender and extended her arms out for hugs. Awww, so this was his little child!

It was absolutely spontaneous as he looked down at the child. "Awwwww!!!" The word came out as a high pitched squeal of absolute adoration for the itty-bitty wittle cow. Even as opposed as he was to touching, the need to hug her was overwhelming and he promptly scooped her up. "Who's a cute little girl? Is it you? Is it?" The child latched on like a vice and giggled as her father blew a little kiss onto her tummy, tickling her delicate fur as he nuzzled into her fluffy frame.

As he essentially claimed the child as his daughter, the door reappeared wide open, allowing them to return to their bodies, the little girl nestled gently between Eilender and Penterino.

Eilender carried the baby back into the bedroom, watching as the door vanished from sight. Well that was convenient! Now he wouldn't have to haul it off! The boy, now truly tired, tucked himself and his little one into bed, being careful to leave enough room for her as he lay down again with his companion. Thankfully, it seemed she was just as tired and fell promptly asleep as did he, both content and warm in the dark of the night.
