Kuro-kasai
Ethel Rowena's family was huge. She wasn't going to deny it. She had three older brother, a sister her age, three younder sisters and a younger brother! And that was only her siblings! How was she supposed to find anything for herself if she was never going to get out of the cave? Rising from the only quiet spot she could find in the den she sought out her father.
"Daddy... may I go out? I need some fresh air..." She sighed as she rolled her eyes. She thought of Jinan and how he wasn't actually related to her. How could that lion even bare being in such a large family? With her thought drifting again of fresh air she stepped past Neo. "I won't go far. I promise. Throwing a smile over her shoulder she went out the opening of the den and out to the grasses surround their home.
Rhea Hyuga
Indeed the family was huge, but Jinan loved it. Everyone held a special place in his heart, including his best friend Neo. Though it had gotten a bit more crowded with the arrival of FOUR cubs, Jinan took it in stride, giving himself the duty of making sure everyone was safe and that nothing particularly nasty would cross into the borders.
Right now, he rested beside his friend after another trip around their borders, making sure things were in order. He closely watched as Ethel Rowena made her way out of the den, smiling. "Do be careful, Miss Ethel." he cautioned with his heavy southern accent. "Y'know what ta do should ya get in a bind."

Neo also loved his family. This... Nine... children... Two grandchildren. And maybe more to come. Aranck and Mei... he was sure that he had seen Bernadette with some one. And Even Nesa. However it was odd, his oldest children were growing up. Except for Ethel. He hadn't seen her show interest in others. He wasn't that sure if it was good, or not.
He crossed his legs in front of him. Sitting on the outside of the large den with his good buddy. He let out a soft yawn before his daughter's voice interrupted his thoughts. Before he could answer he heard his buddy's voice. It really amused him some times. That accent... He was close to it. but at the same time not. His was just a little more different. Not so much of the slang, not as deep. "Of course baby, Just be careful. Don't go to far." He playfully swiped a paw at her feet with a soft chuckle, he remembered when he used to to that he could take her and pull her up against his chest... now she was a little too big for that. However he did have his youngest... but it wasn't the same. He wished his oldest children were still that big some times.

Ethel blushed slightly, thank god her dark coat hide the rosy color that warmed her cheeks when Jinan talked to her. She always had to be passive around her father, especially when Jinan was close. She had developed a 'school gril' crush on him when she was younger and she couldn't shake it. She tried so hard to ignore the butterflies that welled up in her chest when she heard his southern drawl near-by.
As she had left the den she had paused for a moment to nod to Jinan's comment. Thankfully a breeze had brushed her cheeks to calm her a little. Her sisters knew very little, she felt like she couldn't trust anyone with a secret like her liking Jinan... but what would daddy say if she told him? Casting a longing glace back to the den, looking at her father then quickly glancing at Jinan she felt the blush rise again and she looked away.

Neo sighed as he watched Ethel walk away. "Be careful!" He called out once more. "Don't be home too late! Your mother will worry!" He made a small face, she wouldn't be the only on worrying. He would be too, that was for sure. The look disappeared into a distant one as he watched one of his first daughters wander away into the distance of his pride.
It was quiet, as he flicked his tail around. Still looking forward, almost forgetting about his good buddy until he started talking, breaking the quiet. "They're Growing up so fast Jin..." He half chuckled before shaking his head. "I remember when Arana and Nesa were both small and arguing all the time. I remember when both of those girls were little..." He sighed. "Now look at them. What am I going to do Jin... I can't stop them." He laughed slightly, looking down at his paws. He was sure that he and Aine were going to have anymore cubs for a long time, or not at all, he was going to get used to the sound of their grandcub's paws going around. It was a little more different, made him feel... More old... He snorted at the thought of it, wondering how his father felt some times.

Letting out a light chuckle, Jinan waved a paw to the departing teen, smiling and listening to Neo. "Sh' should be jus' fine. I ain't seen nothing that could hurt her 'round these parts."
Shifting a bit so that his legs sprawled out beside him, he let out a happy sigh as Neo talked about his family. Indeed they had all grown, and he felt proud to be able to watch them...to look after them all. "Nah...you can't stop 'em, but I think it's all 'bout the joys of bein' a family man." he let out a softer laugh and nudged his friend's shoulder gently. "But soon you'll probably chasin' away them boys from Berna and Ethel."

Neo flicked his hair behind him and chuckled softly before shaking his head. "I know... I know... She will be fine." He bit his lip then grunted slightly as he felt his friend nudge him. He let out another sigh then looked at his daughter. "Its all good. I have to admit..." Then another small laugh escaped his maw.
"Its already too late for Berna buddy. She has a good friend, Cameo, she looks at her the way I looked at Aine. Good boy though. Good family. I can't complain but still, my first daughters." He let out a nervous laugh then looked off to where his other daughter wandered off to. "I really haven't seen her that interested in anyone else. I just don't want her to run off and find some one. I don't mind Cameo... I mean he is from the pride not that far off but..." He sighed shaking his head once more. He wanted to trust who his children were with, that was all that he cared about. He wanted to approve of them. He was glad his children weren't all. 'Oh hai. I love this bad boy and I don't care what you say.' He was really really glad about that.

Something was keeping her from having a good time outside. Maybe she felt like mother needed help with her newest litter, maybe she wanted to see Bernadette or Orion... or maybe... she needed to see Jinan. Rising easily from the grass she walked briskly back towards the den. As she came closer she slowed down a little, looking over Jinan quickly to her father, trying to hide her sudden nervousness. "I bet mom could us some uh... help." She added quickly as she stole a glance to Jinan then walked past, heading to the back where they kept the cubs to nap. As she got behind the men she hurried to the back to steady the butterflies getting ready to erupt from her chest.

Neo was glad that his words fell quiet when they did. Something caught his attention. The view of a star-y pattern. He thought it was one of his sons for a moment until he caught the unmatched markings that his father had that found its way down the line. Why was Ethel coming back? He looked at his good friend for a moment before turning back to his daughter, hoping Jinan got the point to stop until she was back inside of the cave. He chuckled before looking at his daughter. "Alright baby." He chuckled and watched her walk by. Then looked back again looking at his friend then back forward at the land in front of him, a smile on his face that she was back, a feeling of relief falling over him the one that was there every time he knew all of his children were safe best feeling in the world for him.
"I'm sure that Aine doesn't need any help. Bernie is helping her today..." He made a small face at the thought as it hit him, he spoke quietly to his friend he knew it was a good distance from the den to keep the girls from hearing him but he still was a little confused. "I don't know what has gotten into that little girl." He chuckled once more lifting one of his paws and licking it for a moment then looking at his friend.
Bernadette Alice was off toward the back of the den. Where the cubs stayed giving her a small break. Watching her four younger siblings and two children of her brother. Two cubs curled up on her, Zeikyu on her mid back and Equinox perched on her head while the rest were sleeping next to her. When she saw Ethel Approaching she chuckled, gently shrugging both of the cubs into a pile next to her and beaming at her sister. "Whats up sis? Hm? Your cheeks look a little red." She grinned to go with her tease. She liked picking on her sister some times she couldn't help it. It was what siblings did. She normally wasn't picked on, the only ones who knew of Cameo was Her parents and maybe Nesaru, but she wasn't sure about that one.

"Bernie!" Ethel whined quietly, not wanting to wake the children. "Bernie... I try not too! I can't help it... I never used to blush when I was younger... but there's something about how he talks... and just... I don't know..." She groaned as she slumped to the ground burying her head in her paws. "I just wish he wouldn't see me like a child... I'm a teenage Bernie..." She said as she looked up. She had given Bernadette all this without anything more than a tease and a grin! She was an absolute wreck...

Bernadette giggled slightly at her sister but her she looked down at her sister and nudged her. She was starting to feel a little bad about laughing at her. She laid a paw on her sister's back then laid down next to her and nuzzled the back of her neck trying to make her feel better. "I'm sorry sis..." She sighed then looked forward out of the den. "I'm not that sure what to tell you. You are old enough to like who you want..." Her mind wandered to Cameo once more before shrugging the thought off. She rested her head on her sister's back thinking. "You could go after him... Who knows maybe he likes you that way too? You never know unless you try." Then she chuckled slightly at the idea. "At least daddy would approve of him." He wasn't that sure if her father would approve of Cameo, she was pretty sure that he would but at the same time he would. They were his father oldest daughters...

Jinan had to chuckle. "Well, 's possible she coulda found a boy, y'know?" the thought toyed with his mind. He was alright with Bernadette having possibly found someone, but would he be as comfortable with Ethel possibly having the same? But the way she had been acting for a long time...it was quite possible.
Another thought wormed it's way into his mind, but he quickly shook it off. There was no way. She was his best friends daughter, and was therefore, as a general rule, off-limits.
"Ah well. She's got her sisters and mum to confide in, right?"
