The goddess had learned quite a bit about the mortals since arriving here. She was glad she had taken this path into understanding their nature. Others may look down upon them as they where useless but Yepa saw them as more than that. It was the mortals that shaped the very earth with their paws. True a God could do the same but with the mortals it was there path to do so. Each life slowly shaping the life of another.
The white figure slowly rounded a corner as she surveyed the mountain pridelands. She had been here a few days, escorted and welcomed when she said she wished to be one of them. So much infomation in such a sort time. Observing could only get you so far. She was in the thick of it now.
Still she wanted more, she wanted the experiance others seemed to share. She needed to fully understand it, like some gnawing hunger deep in the pit of her stomach. Old as she was she was still facinated by the little things.

Phusa had found that her new life here as part of the Mwindaji was perfect. She hunted most of the time and it was what she was good at, it was what she adored. She had found at last somewhere to call home, somewhere to find peace.
She had found a rock to rest on for now, she had been hunting since she had woken up early that morning and so she decided it was a time to rest. The mountains had so many rocks to lay on, it was like the place was made for Phusa. She let a smile cross her maw and she let out a soft purr like noise. She had found happiness at last... well she now had one of the two things she wanted.
She stretched herself out on the rock and closed her eyes allowing the suns rays to bathe her. This was what life was really about.

Sounds slowly drifted through the air towards her, her ears flicking this way and that as she pondered which direction to take on the pathway. The purr reached her ears and she snapped her attention in that direction. Someone else was near by, and very content from the sounds of things.
With out a moment hestitation the goddess stepped forward, she wanted to encounter mortals so she wasnt about about to shy away from someone else on the path. Stepping forward and rounding another bend she saw her.
"Hello there." she said to the lioness lounging on the rock. Such a simple pleasure and simple joy. "I hope I'm not interupting." she said with a smile.

((Your girl is pretending to be mortal yeah?))
Phusa looked up to see the white lioness and smiled.
"No not interrupting. I haven't seen you before." At least she didn't think she had. Phusa had kept much to herself since she had joined, just enjoying the fact that she had a home. She went hunting for the pride and the cubs and then came back to her favourite rock. The mountains had taken some adjusting to, but she was content and happy.
"I am Phusa." She smiled at the lioness, flicking her tail as she spoke. She didn't move off her rock though, in fact she rather liked her rock.

(( yeah, sorry that wasnt clear ^_^ wink )
She smiled at Phusa as she quietly approched. "Well I am glad I'm not. After all you look quite content there on your rock" she chuckled. "Thats probably because I am new here. I only arrived a few days ago." she smiled as she looked out over the view before letting her gaze drift back to the lioness on the rock. "I really like it here."
She sat down beside the rock and tucked her tail around her paws. "I'm Yepa, its a pleasure to meet you Phusa."

Phusa nodded.
"Yes I haven't been here long myself." She watched the lioness but was clearly too lazy to move. "Are you a Mwindaji also?" She assumed so as Phusa rarely left their 'area' unless she was hunting. She adored her home. She knew though that sometimes the lions moved from one area to another but she hadn't actually met anyone from another clan.
"It is nice to meet you too Yepa."

"No, not yet anyway. I'm still trying to figure out where I would be the most useful. " she said with a nod of her head. It was true, she didnt know what task she was suited for inside the pride. Certainly not caring for the cubs, she wouldnt know what to do with them. There had to be some sort of trick to it. Now that she thought about it that might be a good experiance in its own.
"I just dont know what I would be good at." she said slumping her shoulders forward. She was playing her role well, and wanted to see how another new pride member might take in this uncertainty.

Phusa was a little confused by her uncertainty. It didn't seem normal but then she assumed some would have problems deciding.
"I had no issues deciding. I love hunting, so it was an easy decision to make. Follow your heart, you will find where you belong." Phusa smiled at her. She wondered what they would have said when she joined if she had turned around and said that she didn't know where she belonged. She was sure there wouldn't have been an issue with it but she wondered none the less.

Yepa wondered if she had said something wrong, it was probably unlikely for a mortal not to have a set path in mind when joining a pride. She chuckled to herself, careful she reminded herself. Careful or all your work will be undone. Such a small slip, but one that could easily be picked at and analized.
"I like hunting just fine, I dont think I would do well fighting other lions protecting the boarders and I have no experiance with cubs... So I guess that narrows down my choices for me doesnt it?" she asked with a small light laugh.

Phusa couldn't help but be a little suspicious but she wasn't really sure why she was so she pushed it to the back of her mind.
"Then I welcome you to our home." She smiled at the lioness, trying to work her out. She was probably just another rogue that Phusa was being too suspicious of, after all she seemed nice enough! Phusa just couldn't understand how she hadn't made the decision earlier. Maybe she just needed time to think.
"Where have you been living then? If you hadn't made a decision?"

Yepa knew now that she had said something that didnt quite fit and her mind was back petalling quickly to try and make a believable story. Inwardly she cursed herself as her smile continued to rest easily on her face.
"Ah well thank you. I havent really had a home before so its all been a little new to me. I think the experiance just took me back a little you know?" she sighed and looked up at the sky whistfully. "It was all so much to take in, I guess I just hadnt been able to clearly think about which part of the pride I would be best suited for."
Her tail flicked as she shrugged her shoulders. "Within the pride walls I just felt so safe I have been sleeping here and there. Near the council mainly as I hadn't made my final choice." she dipped her head sadly. "sometimes I think too much and over complicate things so I can make a chocie even if its a simple one." she said sheepishly. "if I hadnt talked to you it probably would have taken a few more days for me to arrive at the same conclusion." she said. As she finished she hoped that would be enough to not only sound genuine and sincere but also through Phusa off the track that something was amiss.

Phusa's tail flicked from side to side as she listened. The story was believable but there was something still like a little warning bell at the back of her mind. It made sense though she guessed and what reason did she have not to believe her? In the end she could probably get the story checked out if she was that bothered.
"Fair enough."
Yeah she still really wasn't sure.
"Why here then? Why did you come here if you have never had a home before?" Phusa was curious. She had never had a real home either but she had spent her cubhood living by a pride and she had always thought of it as home when she was there. This place had jumped out at her though, when she wanted to find somewhere to settle down she walked straight into the pride, it was all explained to her and she had felt at home straight away. So she was likely to believe any story as to why the female came here.

Yepa smiled a little as her mind raced with a good story to tell. "well My family wandered alot, we never stayed in one place too long. We where tightly knit and all had our roles to play, but as I grew up I wanted to branch off and find out more about other lions in different places. I was.. kinda drawn here. I had always loved the look of the mountains from far away and just naturally started walking in this direction. When I arrived here it was... almost like I was ment to be here.."
She chuckled and drew her claws into the soil. "I guess that sounds really silly..." she said.

She was jealous.
She had never had a close family, far from that in fact the family she came from was so messed up that it wouldn't surprise her if some of her siblings were messed up too.
"Why did you leave such a close family? Surely you knew how lucky you were to have such a close family?" She spoke softer now and she sounded sad.
"No it doesn't sound silly, it felt right when I got here too. It's nice here, I like it here, it's beautiful and it's home."

Yepa watched her and noted the softness in her voice. She had explained something in her story that had made the mortal sad. Wishing she could take back whatever it was she sighed a little, she had to continue on now. What was it..perhaps families? Yepa chose that route to follow as she watched the other lioness.
"Yes, families are nice when you fit in." she said lowering her head a little bit and sighing herself. She left that to dangle in the air as mortals often did when they didnt wish to express something further. Not that Gods didnt do the same. She flicked her tail and looked back up at the girl. "But...we're as good as family now right? We could be sisters." she said with a small giggle, and attempt to make the lioness feel better and to gain a friend.
