(from One Piece Wikipedia)  Mr. 2 Bon Clay is a male transvestite who wears flamboyant ballet clothes with a swan theme. He generally dresses in a pink over coat and blue medieval clothes. As a reference to him being an okama, his shorts are so extremely round that it makes his butt huge and pot-like as okama can also refer to a pot and one's buttocks. He wears heavy makeup and he often sports a distinct wide grin which often carries over when he changes his appearance. Underneath these clothes, his physique is fairly muscular as seen during the Impel Down Arc, possibly as a result of his training in Okama Kenpo. It is also found out that his real name is Bentham.

I gained new found respect for Bon Clay (not like i didn't like him before)during the Impel down arc. The only one who actually wanted to save Luffy just because their friends (aww 3nodding ).

Interesting fact: when literally translated, Impel Town level 5.5: Okamakai translates as 'New Transvestite Land,' or as the translator I used put it, 'New Tranny World.'

Wa! Bon-chan!
He's one of the One Piece guys I wish was my best friend. Not the date kind, he's an okama so obviously, but he's in there with the BFF's list along with:
-Chopper
-Iceburg
-Shakky
-Kaya
And so on. Bon-chan's got the toughness to stand up for his friends of a man, and the sensitivity for a friend's feelings like a woman. He's a man! He's a woman! He's an Okamaaaaaaa!

in the Shonen Jump translation his fighting style is called 'Oh Come My Way Karate.' His song references the fact that Okama could mean 'friend' or 'transvestite.' Shonen Jump never used the word Okama because they were afraid of a lawsuit form some transvestite union or another.

People are either supersensitive, or undersensitive (meaning they don't care). It's typical that they jump like OMG POTENTIAL COURT CASE SENSES TINGLING. What happened to the times when people actually took risks?!
