*image coming shortly, depending on whether Rune brings Ixthias or horses or other mounts to the mansion*
Outside on the grounds, a large wooden cart sits waiting beside a small counter, its boards varnished and freshly gleaming in the glow of several grinning jack o'lanterns arranged atop the counter. With four wooden wheels and an open top, the spacious bed is spread with hay, hay bales set at angles for people to sit. A few canvas cushions are also tucked out of sight behind the bales so children won't p***k themselves on the hay. A long banner on the side proclaims "The Sin'aeis Hayride - All Welcome." At the moment, the harness end is unoccupied, though it looks to hold two large, horse-type animals to pull the cart.

Rune sighed, leading the large Ixthias into position at the front of the cart. Similar to draft-horses, they had blunter muzzles, large ears sectioned into threes, and frying-pan-sized paws instead of hooves. Appropriately for the event, both were black, one with white spangles across its rump, the other with white-streaked mane and tail. "Alright, you two, behave."

Gillian waddled his way over to the hayrides, it seemed pretty well unoccupied and thus it would be quiet. Too many people in one place meant for a lot of noise- and often times the noise only brought on the need to be louder and louder in order to be heard. He liked most of those in the manner, but the fresh air was nice as well as the quiet outside.
The infant paused and looked up to the great beasts, his mouth falling open a bit. "...woooow...." They were beautiful- oddly so, but beatiful none the less.

Rune glanced down and grinned, pleased to see the little Sin. "Hello, Gilly." She ruffled the child's hair carefully between his horns, hands gloved against the nippy air. "You're the first one here! Not many people wanted to brave the cold, I guess. Are you warm enough?"

"A little cold...", he admitted with a giggle, grabbing for the woman's hands, "No sleeves, my arms are little cold..."
He looked around, then back up to the beasts, "Is... this a ride? I like the horses."

"Gilly!!!" Yvette squealed with glee, peeking up from inside the cart. Horo Horo's head also popped up, a hood and poncho outfit giving him the look of a Grim Reaper. He frowned slightly. "Gilly cowed?" His head vanished for a moment; then, grinning, he held up a baby-sized jacket. "No cowed!"
Rune laughed and gently picked up the little Milk Sin, settling him on her hip and taking the jacket from her son. "Thanks, Horo." She offered the covering to Gil, smiling. "You're dressed as Hugo, aren't you? And yes, these are for riding. They're called Ixthias."
"Ick-c-ah." Yvette giggled.

"I... never heard of them." He admitted, reaching his arms out to help get the jacket on. He'd never seen just a normal jacket before- Gariel normally made a thick cloak for him to wear and wind around himself along with a scarf that would probibly always be a bit too big. "Thank you..." He bowed his head a bit, snuggling into the jacket. It was warm, a bit tight around his wrists were it was meant to be but comfortable none the less.
"Yes, Gabe made it for me. He said that it would fit 'cause my skin is....d...rk. n', my hair has st...st....mm...two colors."

Rune grinned and tucked the jacket a bit tighter around the little boy, then held him up to touch one of the beasts. "They're from the realm of Illuzen - where my Elves and some of my family live." She explained. "My cousin raises a small stable, so she lent me a few. The streaked one is Streak, and the one next to you is Shadow. They're gentle, I promise. And I think you look quite cute in that outfit."
As though to underscore the point, Shadow snorted and turned his face to look at Gil, gently nuzzling the boy's outstretched arm.

He giggled a bit as he was lifted out towards the beasts, gently holding his hands out for one of them. As shadow brought his snout around to nuzzle at him, Gillian put his arms around the snout gently, petting the center of the creature's forehead. "I like them... they're nice." He looked back around towards Rune, smiling softly, "Big enough to keep safe too...from red wolf."
He looked back to the other creature, reaching his hand out for it as well. "Thank you....Mada-...er...Rune."

Rune raised an eyebrow, though her voice was light. "Who's red wolf?" She asked, casually setting the small boy onto the seat of the cart and vaulting up herself. Tugging at the side of the cart to pull up a guardrail on the seat, she leaned back and scooped Yvette and Horo Horo onto the seat beside Gil.
"Gilly!" Yvette crowed, hugging her friend tightly, and Horo Horo giggled, patting Gil's jacketed arm. "No cowed now?"
