((PLEASE EXCUSE THE SAPPY AND FAILTASTIC TITLE!

~Mmmkies, as explained in thread, whomever manages to gain her trust will in essence 'win.'
~I ask that you don't enter more than one kimera unless your aiming for a mother/father thing or something. The less clutter the better.
~Oh, and if someone stumbles upon this and doesn't want to 'compete' feel free to throw in an evil kimera or something. DRAMA AND DANGER IS GOOD! I'll throw Zoz or Dante in if I have to, and then someone will probably end up maimed or something.
~ I'm hoping to keep this short and sweet heart ))

It was hard for one so young to grasp the concept of time. When one couldn't see the cycles in the sky, everything began to run together and specific events became blurred, almost abstract, as if they never happened. When one was unaware of what they were missing, everything was taken at face value.

The lack of sight wasn't noticed, as she had never opened her eyes. Her hearing was strange, she could hear noises she believed she herself made, a whimper when she stubbed her paw on a rock and stumbled, a whine of frustration when her legs wouldn't move anymore. Yet she could hear and feel something else, distantly as grass and leaves crinkled beneath her paws, as if someone had stuck cotton in her ears. The most amazing yet of all these sensation was smell. Not that she could identify the source of any scent without sight, the fact that there was something else out there to create such wonderful smells was enough to keep her going.

So the young pup continued to wander, purposefully in circles, large over-sided wings drooping and dragging on the ground behind her leaving a trail. She stepped over the same leaves and grass, stumbled over the same rocks, and smelt the same things, willing the darkness to fade or the cotton to disappear. One must adjust to what they know before tackling anything more.

All he had been doing was just taking a walk.

Halor hadn't meant to catch that little drift of sound on the air, the one that alerted him to another presence in the ruins. He had just wanted to get away from the hectic life of the horde and the Keep for a while. But the sounds intrigued him, and he figured that he had better go and check anyway.

Halor snaked through the lumps of concrete and straggling grasses, his long body sliding smoothly as he neared what he deemed to be the source of some odd noises. From what he could tell, it was something alive, and apparently not that old. As he neared the source, he poked his head up to catch sight of what appeared to be an arnulf pup, except with unusual traits. He silently drew nearer, curious.

Neo continued to wander around in a circle, completely oblivious to what lay in wait watching her a short distance off. It was only after a few more rounds did she stop, her nose twitching at the different and un-identifiable smell. That wasn't right. She hadn't changed her path...why was this new?

As if to confirm her thoughts she waddled forward a few steps and propped her paw up on a rock she knew was there, most likely from having tripped over it many a time. If she hadn't changed, that meant something out there did?

With a small noise of confusion she shifted, and the rock tilted forward slightly, killing her balance and sending her tumbling head over heels. Landing on her stomach in a heap of limbs she wiggled slightly to attempt to right her wings and shook her head, trying to untangle where her head tail had looped around one of her ears in the fall. With little success she flopped her head back down in the grass with a huff, which was followed by a helpless little whine. Where was she? What was going on? And wasn't there suppose to be someone with her? If she racked her brain she could almost remember, but even that was hazy.

Zell

The insessent digging of his burrow ceased for the moment, sneasing gruffly as he slipped from beneath his freshly dug burrow..planning to connect it to the rest later on, yawning lightly zell stepped out into the sunlight shaking the resulting dust that clung to his body away in a flurry. A little cloud puffing up around him and causing him to sneeze once more.

Of stocky build golden and black fur he took a few moments of enjoying the sun, always on the alert standing there and taking in the sights and scents around him, the sudden sound of a high pitched whine caught his large sharp ears, tilting his head to the side curiously, an ear flicking as the leoprsa considered investigating the interesting noise.

Really he just couldn't help himself, the young creature leaving his burrow for now, loping off as he found a vantage point, a large rock, scrambling up it with ease as he used the higher vantage point to try and pinpoint the sound from. Whiskers and nose twitching slightly, his little tail swishing against the rough surface behind him as he spotted something red off in the distance, its fur contrasting with the grass around it...and something else..though the grass moved he couldn't see the creature that was moving it, something stalking up on the little red bundle.
