Ok, so I play snare drum, and I am seen as the "section leader". Well, during the summer, we always have a week long (or longer depending on several things) band camp, to go over drills and our show. During this time, many people (especially the drummers) complain constantly about the heat, marching, being a waste of time, etc. And during fall, they decide to get cocky and talk back and goof off, like talking while I am trying to help others with drills or music, blah blah. Is there any other drumline that has people who chat constantly?(And frankly, it kinda makes me want to kick puppies... XD)

It's the same way with my drumline too, believe me. They never stop talking and are always causing us to have to run laps and stuff. Saying our drumline is cocky is the understatement of the century, were the best in the state, and we work hard but they're all just cocky assholes who don't know how to shut up, so I know how you feel. Tell the drum instructor (If you have one) or the band director and maybe it'll get a little better

Our drumline doesn't really complain that much, but the guy at the head of the drumline drives me INSANE sometimes. Like, I think he's anti-freshman or something--I mean yeah, he's nice and helpful...but when he gets annoying, he gets ANNOYING. >///<" And he's pretty defiant. I'm so glad he's graduating this year. (shush! ninja )

during marching season, we were 2-1-4, all but three of the bass drums (including myslef) were cocky as heck...they got so pissed at the BD one practice cuz they didntlike her for watever reason that they walked off the field. this was halfway into the season so the rest of the season our line consisted of three bass drums.
so glad they didnt come back for winter season. almost completely new line for me to command = D
im now on quads btw = P

umm...yes. but, he quit recently so it's all good. he was all "emo" and whatnot. He would always complain to me and my friend about how bad his life sucked and crap and how badly he was mistreated by girls and all this other stuff that i Frankly did not care about. and towards the end he told one of my best friends that "he had feelings for me" i was like.. ummm....NO 1. you're terribly ugly and 2. you're REALLY annoying. wow...i sound like a total b**** ...and i'm really not, i promise. but, it's the truth. xD

one of the bass players was new on the line this year, and he is so annoying and desperate for attention he stole my bestfriends keys and wouldn't give them back, then pretended that he didn't take them and that the cops strip searched him. he is always late to practice, if he comes at all, he thinks hes the best marcher in band, when he doesn't even know how to march at all, and at the last parade, he took his drum off, while we were still marching and put it on the ground without the cover("they are new, nice, expencive drums, and we are to treat them as such"-my band director), in the middle of the parade. when our capitan told him to put it back on, he said "Shut the F**k up! No!" and didn't put it on till everyone on drumline was yelling at him, then he just walked the rest of the parade and refused to play. the only good thing is that when me and the capitan told our director about it, she said there was no excuse for that kind of behavior and she was going to fail him. twisted

There's a bad thing with the entire drumline where they won't stop talking. They're nice people, and I'm cymbal patsy for the Pep Band season, but GAHD. SHUT UP WHILE RAPTOR DIRECTOR IS TALKING.

Bass drummer in my line - She acts like everyone should ******** worship her as a god, That she is the best drummer out there and everyone else sucks, She would, for example, Play a part, completely wrong and hold to her saying, ITS PERFECT ******** U. She thinks she's being cute, but its just being a b***h without directly being a b***h.
so glad pit doesnt have to practice with the line As much anymore...

I'm on bass line, and I'm one of two freshmen on the bass line. I try my best not to run into people with my bass drum. I've done it a few times to the girl in front of me, who I totally hate. She's a sophomore, and she thinks I'm a complete idiot. When I screw up, she'll give me this death glare and look at me like I'm an idiot. She'll be nice to me occasionally, but that hardly happens. She just drives me insane! >.<

Only one person in the drumline TRUELY drives me insane I don't even want to type it worried I am going to snap. But our current section leader is annoying as well since he doesn't even act as a leader. He hates underclassmen doesn't set up or organize anything, our director asks me to always do the organizing which bums me out since he gets all the credit for what I do.
