So, I took this opportunity of a free afternoon in Lisbon (yeah... well... I didn't want my employee to pay for the official banquet xp ) and took off to the historical part of the city.
And so, I'm sitting in a cafe close to entrance to the Lisbon castle (a muslim castle, btw) sipping my water when there is this lovely pair of boy and girl wearing black, chain wallets, leather pants and metal emblems passing by.
It just seems it was too much for them to spend 5 euro per person for entering the castle. So - I couldn't even have this pleasure of having them around for some more time than just 15 seconds. sad

eek no reply?
And I just saw another interesting person. There I was waiting for the underground and there was this guy with some collector's box of Iced Earth stuff.
I smiled again.

I see random cool people around, but most of them have different tastes in music then I do. They like Metal, but not the kinds I like. Usually I end up finding 'normal' looking people who love Metal, the kind of Metal I like.

I'm moving to Lisbon - it's warm, there's pretty metal people around and I bet there's more fine metal gigs than in this city here.

I see a lot of people who would claim to like metal, but they're... well... They're like those people who your reject from MR because their request says something like, "I like Disturbed, Slipknot, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold and Cradle of Filth! Hardcore!"

ashlander_alpha I'll just say that I hate people in goth pants, solid metal credentials or no. Lol. Still, it's kinda nice to see metalheads out and about... makes you feel all warm inside smile Speaking of which, you can read the whole band name "Meshuggah" on my t-shirt in my drivers license photo... I keep hoping some day somebody will see it and go "Dude, how metal is that?!"

That's about as metal as my school gets. .____. Yup, that's how mine is. I am educating a group of my closest friends on metal, though. I've burned them a bunch of mixed metal CDs, explained genres to them, and gotten them into a lot of good stuff, whereas before they like Metallica and Dragonforce. Yesterday I, for the first time ever, met someone in person that listens to Electric Wizard (other than the group above that heard of them from me). He works at the guitar place where I get lessons, I've started talking to him more now. It's nice being able to discuss this stuff with a metalhead in person for once. 3nodding
