Jaden, Ka'hmesh, Bronte and Asher are right in the thick of the pine forest! How on earth did they get in here? More important, how do they get out?
Do you push head towards the outcropping, or do you head through the fog instead?

Ka ... really ... really ... hated this weather. He was starting to regret having come at all, to be honest. When the wind got worse and worse, the pale-haired young man reached out toward Farlest - hoping that they didn't somehow get separated.
But... then wind gusted again and actually knocked him over into the snow, then when he got up, he couldn't see a thing. Wandering and calling out, Ka eventually stopped where he was and just... tried to see something, anything through the snow and wind.
There was nothing... until it died down, and he found himself in the middle of the forest with three others. A couple of them he vaguely recognized and thought they were probably other students - he didn't pay as much attention as he should back at school. But ... the other he had no clue. "Hello!" he called out, looking around. "Where is everyone else...?"

The cold air chilled the young adventurer to the bone. He wasn't used to this kind of weather. While he had grown slightly accustomed to the cold in small intervals thanks to the short stay at the village, he was not used to the barrage of snow, wind and fog. Bronte tried to distinguish their exact location, but everything in the dense pine forest looked the same. After all, is there really any difference between two pine needles?
However, above all else, he hated this uneasy feeling he had since they entered the forest, now standing in a small clearing, the feeling had only worsened. He hummed to himself a soft lullaby to calm his nerves and his mind. He needed to concentrate, and constantly worrying about the cold wasn't going to get him to the tower.
Bronte had not met the students that were in his group. He wished had though, since now they were heavily relying on one another. He tried to imagine their faces and what they were wearing, but to no avail. So, he stopped humming for a moment and listened, and heard a voice calling out.
"Hey! Over here, in the clearing! Who's there? Wait! It doesn't matter! This is Bronte Corentin! Someone else be alive or I am turning around!"

Where was everyone? Jaden was now clutching his knapsack to his chest, mismatched eyes quite wide, as though that would help him see better. Shivering, he was fumbling his way through the forest, every so often timidly calling out for Nathaniel. He had the distinct feeling that he was all alone, and out here, well, with the weather it would likely be impossible for him to be found again.
The shouting quite nearly gave the tiny American a heart attack. It was bad enough that he kept bumping into pine boughs, but to suddenly hear a voice cut the near-eerie stillness of the forest was terrifying enough to startle tears out of the blond. Mind you, they froze to his lashes quite quickly, making them just that much more of a hassle.
Stumbling towards the voices, he found his own voice again. "H-Hello?! Who's there?!" It was almost desperate. He didn't mind being alone, but in a strange place, where god knows what was lurking, he was trembling in his boots. Coming around a tree, he bumped into Ka'hmesh's sturdier form with a yelp, falling back on his rump in the snow and pine needles. Today just hated him didn't it? "H-Hi..." Directed at Ka, but voiced with a definite lip-quiver.

Ka had just started to head toward the other voice he could hear calling out from a small clearing ahead when someone bumped into him from behind. Spinning around, he blinked at the smaller boy now sitting in the snow. Oh... he looked just about scared out of his wits. Extending a hand down toward the other, he smiled faintly. "Hi there... " He remembered meeting Jaden once before, and that he was one of Farlest's friends, but not much more than that.
Then, he called toward the clearing, "Stay there, we're coming to you!" It would be easier to see exactly where they were then, anyway. Best to get out of the thickest of the trees...
And back to Jaden... "Are you okay?"

A wave of relief washed over the young Greek boy as he heard the voices approaching. Bronte could clearly make out two voices and they seemed to somewhat close by; however, the dense fog and the identical rows of pine trees, didn't help his search. He removed a compass from his backpack and tried to figure out which direction they were supposed to go. However, Bronte had very little experience with a compass, so this wasn't going to give him much information, if any at all.
He listened intently for a few minutes. Bronte wanted to know the direction of the two voices and hoped to hear their footsteps. Even the slightest crunch of snow and pine needles would be enough to satisfy him.
