The Lieutenants Office is mildly decorated compared to the Captains. An array of scrolls and colorful art works are displayed on the walls. A ordinary scroll holder is placed on the wall to the right if you are walking in from outside. Removing this scroll opens up a small compartment underneath the desk where the Lieutenant fills out paperwork and what not. inside the compartment is a golden key that is needed to unlock the "closet" to the left of the room. Inside the "closet" is a fabulously furbished secret room that connects to the Captain's "closet as well.

Raiden arrived back at his office and set his zanpakuto next to him by his seat as he sat down and began glaring between his paperwork and zanpakuto before finally letting out a big sigh. Raiden then slowly began working on his paperwork that he had been neglecting to complete.
"You know I'm only doing this for a couple of reasons. One: I like you. Two: Because I actually need you," Raiden said to his zanpakuto as he continued stamping and signing papers while trashing others that he was never going to bother reply to.

Raiden's drool from his mouth was slowly seeping across his desk. His snores could be heard outside his office. The man had fallen asleep while doing his paperwork. Not an uncommon event to occur, but it was still off-putting at times.
Eventually he woke up. His eyes fluttered awake, and he noticed his small puddle he created on his desk. He quickly grabbed the closest thing near him to clean it up: unfinished paperwork. Afterwords, he he grabbed his zanpakuto and left his office in search of more less industrious things to do.

Raiden walked into his office and placed his zanpakuto against his desk. He sat down and pulled out some papers and with his favorite pen he began writing. He paused after writing the first few sentences.
"Having second thoughts? This isn't like you. You normally have already reached your final decision once you begin something," Konpaku Shouhisha spoke to him. She appeared to him in a ethereal form. She leaned on the desk and looked him in the eye, "You never leave things unfinished or half-done. What's up?"
"Hmph. Like you already don't know," Raiden said closing his eyes, "As much as I dislike being a shinigami and as much as I dislike the way Soul Society treats their lesser-cared about civilians, I can't help but feel that to quit being a shinigami is to give up on those who need protection. Maybe I'm just thinking too hard, maybe...I just don't know what to think. Soul Society's in a mess so I doubt the Old man will just let me waltz outta here especially since I haven't done anything to help.
"However, maybe I can do more. Maybe I can protect the living. Afterall, as often as shinigami go to Earth to slay Hollows, are we slaying them to protect others, or are we trying exterminate them? Doesn't matter I suppose, either way we're apparently doing the "Right Thing"," Raiden sighed heavily before a smile found itself on his place and he opened his eyes to stare into Konpaku Shouhisha's one red eye, "You know, I've been trying to get out of being a shinigami for so long, and never once have I planned out what'd I do if I was no longer a shinigami. Never once had I asked myself what I'd do until I died. I think I finally have the answer."
With that, raiden continued writing on his papers. Konpaku Shouhisha smiled at him, happy that he finally knew what to do with himself. She disappeared returning to her domain while Raiden finished writing. It tool up a page and a half but he was done. He finished writing his Letter of Resignation. He folded up the pieces of paper and grabbed his zanpakuto as he left and strapped it to his back. It was time to pay the Old Man his last visit.
