Okay. So.
There's a violin shop I go to that has pretty much everything I'd actually need for violin, as well as carrying things like guitars, which we know I like, cellos, violas, and so on. Run out of a house, actually -- as in, the house serves as the shop. Nobody actually lives there. But after being suspicious for a while (mainly due to the fact that a set of four violin strings starts at like twenty bucks and goes up to over a hundred), I now have solid proof that they overprice s**t.
I went there not that long ago to get some rosin. Got it (three bucks, I think, up to twenty), then hung out in the guitars. Found one I really liked, played it for a few minutes --
this, minus the pickguard, the white thing on the side -- priced at four hundred bucks. Did some internet searches on the brand and model -- Glen Burton Chicago -- and found one for $270. Then a bunch of listings on ebay for it at two-twenty, brand new. And they have 'em in white.
I'm a little discontented with that store now.
'Specially since my damn strings were twenty bucks.
neutral Anyway, yeah. Ever found a store like that?
