So Wyatt's is officially a rip-off.

Okay. So.
There's a violin shop I go to that has pretty much everything I'd actually need for violin, as well as carrying things like guitars, which we know I like, cellos, violas, and so on. Run out of a house, actually -- as in, the house serves as the shop. Nobody actually lives there. But after being suspicious for a while (mainly due to the fact that a set of four violin strings starts at like twenty bucks and goes up to over a hundred), I now have solid proof that they overprice s**t.
I went there not that long ago to get some rosin. Got it (three bucks, I think, up to twenty), then hung out in the guitars. Found one I really liked, played it for a few minutes -- this, minus the pickguard, the white thing on the side -- priced at four hundred bucks. Did some internet searches on the brand and model -- Glen Burton Chicago -- and found one for $270. Then a bunch of listings on ebay for it at two-twenty, brand new. And they have 'em in white.

I'm a little discontented with that store now.
'Specially since my damn strings were twenty bucks. neutral
Anyway, yeah. Ever found a store like that?

I pretty much find all stores to be that way, especially music stores/specialty shops/etc.
You can always find s**t cheaper online.

Tons like a drum shop I know, I am never buying a single thing from it even the drumsticks cost a ridiculous amount, I needed a new base pedal and found one for 20 squid, in a shop, brought down from 100, I found the same on in there for 230.

Every second store you see is like that. They bank on people's lazy attitude's. And if they can get away with it why shouldn't they? The customer is the one who has to decide whether they can continue to get away with it or not.

Here's a question, if you see someone buying something overpriced do you tell them where they could get it cheaper, watch unsure if you should tell them, or feel slightly elated at how you can get it for half the price if you so desired.

Depends if I like the person or not. If they're giving me a bad vibe then they can get overcharged all they want.

That's why,
a) You never go to stores like that for anything you need, musically. (Go to places like Music Showcase or Roydon Music for rosin or strings or necessities.)
b) You NEVER EVER go online, for anything.

If you're buying an instrument and you want good quality, find someone who makes instruments in your area. There are tons of them, I guarantee. You just don't know about them.
People make instruments by hand everywhere, and they're nearly always better than anything you'll find in a store. They range in price from cheap to super expensive, but the price will always be worth it.
