hey guys, i recently decided to make a steampunk based webcomic, but besides the odd peice of artwork here and there in art class at college, i havnt had a chance to start, well, im hoping for that to change with the upcoming Easter break, so i will try to get a couple done then. that said, i have finished the website, which includes an RSS blog (so you can check whenever the comic is updated from your internet toolbar), a Forum, and quite a cool image layout (all images open within one page, so you don't have to wait for a page to load each time you want to veiw a comic page. the site is: http://chronolegacy.talkspot.comcan you guys give me your opinions on the site layout and such? BACKGROUND:
right, this may be a big post... theres a lot to cover quickly, so i'm gonna bullet-point everything.
- A Steampunk/Western themed webcomic, kinda like Firefly, only with more steampunk.
- Set in the year 2250
- critical flaws discovered within basic mathematical theory, commonly referred to as the "Key Flaw".
- this flaw resulted in what we believed to be almost perfectly developed Nuclear technology being shut down, as if the maths was wrong, we were lucky to stay safe this long
- the Key Flaw also resulted in electricity being used far less, as the world turned to much safer means of technology (steam and clockwork, although some scientists are working on other means to use new power sources, and to make sure electricity is safe)
- the Key Flaw meant that images from Space telescopes (such as the Hubble telescope), and Space technology, was wrong, so other planets were closer than we thought, and our space technology was far slower than we thought once it left our atmosphere.
- new space shuttles were made using the "Fixed" maths, which allowed travel between Earth and other galaxies outside the milky way possible in just weeks, rather than years.
- slowly, all of earths countries moved to newly terraformed planets, resulting in earth being turned into a central "Ruling" planet over mankind across the stars.
- groups of countries who relied on each other heavily (some parts of europe, for example) all moved to a single large planet, referred to as the "Hub World"
CHARACTERS:
- Lead by Englishman Cpt. Micheal Gifford, a former Naval officer of the Royal fleet of England (the planet England) a group of mercenaries, engineers, etc from among many of the other planets have become his new Mercenary crew, on his Boat, the Riptide (formerly the HMS Riptide)
- Another main character is the ships Engineer; Jenna Wrayburn, who is one of his first crew members.
STORY IDEAS:
- I plan to start on the Hub World, opening with a gunfight inside the Orient Express, part way through a "Job" that the mercs were hired for (inspired by the firefly episode "Trainjob", although besides the fact they are on a train, and are mercs hired to steal a cargo, the similarities to that episode end there)

Amossk just when we think we have it all figured out! that is PRECISELY what im trying to get across! that and how just one mistake can cause so much to go wrong, and yet so right!

well, i have added a new logo anyway, at the bottom of each page, in the middle. it is a WIP (Work in Progress) at the moment, as i finished the center, but just need to make the grey background gear more metallic and less... odd, i may run a few shadow/light filters over it and add a metallic gradient to it.
