JUST A NOTE: There are only six plots per block and most people have more than six friends, so yes...some people are going to get left out of blocks they wanted to be a part of. If you get left out or picked over during the whole neighbor-finding craze, please try not to take it too hard. It's a fun new feature that the Admins have given us. Please try to keep it as fun for everyone as possible. ^^

========== MERIKO'S BLOCK ==========

I will be reserving a block in Gaia Towns (hopefully this afternoon). Besides my plot, there will be five plots available in the same block.

Update: Got 8 Barton 001020. ^^

Everyone is already on my friendslist except Emi, who I've sent an invite to. Once I've reserved a block I'll post the address here (and also send you guys PMs) so you guys can go pick out plots near my house. The reservation lasts for 24 hours (or 48 if I buy an extension) so please be sure to log in at least once in the next day or so. Thank you~

Update: From what I understand in the Towns FAQ, when you request to reserve a block the system automatically assigns you the first available completely empty block. So getting blocks near each other so that more than six people can be neighbors seems improbable, if not practically impossible. ^^;

========== OTHER BLOCKS ==========

If you want to reserve a block and gather up neighbors, feel free to post in this thread or make your own thread in this guild. Be sure to read VO's announcement and the Towns FAQ to make certain you understand what you and your proposed neighbors need to do. Here are the basics (as I understood them):

Everyone needs to buy a House and a Barton Town Permit.

The person reserving the block needs to reserve the block and make sure all proposed neighbors are on their friendlist. (Doesn't matter if you are on their friendlist or not.) Let your proposed neighbors know the address that they'll be moving in to.

The people moving into the reserved block need to log in within 24 hours (or 48 if extention purchased) to get their house planted.

DOOD. So does this mean I can reserve spots for fifty-three friends?! The Announcement implied only one block of six instead of one neighborhood of fifty-four.

Perhaps they'll release more maps later on. I mean...the zip codes have leading zeroes. That implies a lot of room still available. And then perhaps they'll expand to Durem and other maps as well. :3

Maybe you can just nab a random spot for now and then relocate once the maps expand?

Kochiyo Ishinomori: I meant everyone on that list of five people. ^^ I booted everyone else off so that I didn't have another friend moving into a spot and ending up keeping Kimi from being my neighbor. Not that I wouldn't give my pixellated right arm to neighbor with many other people, but five was the limit.
